DC had more than enough silly design choices for their characters, from the same era, but DC at least altered them over the decades so they are not as silly. For some reason Marvel kept Namor's ankle wings.
One thing that doesn't get talked about enough is that Aquaman's fish can be supernaturally strong. I mean, do you know how buff a shark has to be to bite through green lantern light constructs?
I mean, if Namor's supposed to be super strong, then they kind of demonstrate it by making it possible for him to be torn apart by angler fish. But I realized this when the first Aquaman comic I read involved him calling sharks to burst through the city streets and attack his enemy. Not only would a shark have to be strong to burst through asphalt like that, but sharks also do not live below city streets, so I'm assuming this means they just tunneled their way underground from off the coast.
I guess hanging out with a science genius does this to you. And Wiz also became a little less formal, because of hanging out with Boomstick. You can see how he loosened himself as time went on. I mean, there were momments In past seasons that Wiz straight up antagonized Boomstick, but nowadays Is just friendly banther.

Wiz makes things on purpose and tends to be uncaring if it results in people hurt, much more amoral. And there is no reason to believe that Wiz doesn't collect any items he comes across, while Boomstick would just forget or not care for them if they aren't of his personal taste, and since they have been doing this for quite a while, that stockpile should be quite vast.

I enjoyed Jason Momoa as Aquaman. I'm not a fan of ethnicity-swapping characters, but Arthur Curry being of Islander descent makes a lot sense. It's a cool idea and the cast the perfect guy for the role.

I pretty much understand DC now. Due to having Superman in your fictional universe, you have to scale up ALL your characters in order for them to seem relevant and maintain a fanbase. Even Batman has to pull off IMPOSSIBLE feats once in a while, when he's in proximity to Superman.

He WAS a total joke of a character more or less. It wasn't until only about 15 years ago or so that he got the cooler and much more darker story arcs. Before that he was super lame. But once they started him down that much cooler path, he was amazingly badass. Basically they rebooted him into an interesting character by giving him a much needed makeover coupled with some awesome storylines

I am not ashamed to admit that I was wrong about Aquaman he was pretty amazing and that one liner was cool "dinner is on the king tonight." That was awesome
He WAS a total joke of a character more or less. It wasn't until only about 15 years ago or so that he got the cooler and much more darker story arcs. Before that he was super lame. But once they started him down that much cooler path, he was amazingly badass. Basically they rebooted him into an interesting character by giving him a much needed makeover coupled with some awesome storylines

where they had all their robot minions and then you had metal sonic except instead of robots and metal sonic you have sea creatures and sea monsters, and then the sea monsters go crazy and aquaman and namor loose control of the beasts and they turn on their masters and destroy everything or maybe the creatures r evenly matched n fall destroy each other, maybe like in Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus, they die grappled together, clenching n biting each other as they fall into an underwater lava stream that opened up due to the damage n seismic activity then its still down to Aquaman and Namor, only this time Aquaman would be weakened and have a nose bleed from trying to control the beast

by taking out the sea monsters aspect takes out part of the arsenal and abilities that each have.
The weakness of Namors is that he requires the horn to call his monsters so all Aquaman would have to do is get the horn off namor and destroy it or have some shark or whale swallow it, and then you have Topo. Namor is stronger than Giganto so he may be able to overpower Topo as well. not sure...would need much research into the sea creatures of both DC and Marvel. n then you hav both Namor n Aquaman again...Namor hurt from battling Topo n Aquaman weakened by the strain of controlling the creature for so long
