That was my impression also when I was watching their show that same year at Exit festival, maybe 10 days earlier than this show was held. Did not know what to expect since I am Radiohead fan and knew a few Thom Yorke and Atoms for peace songs. It blew my mind, I was like this the music from the future. They are so ahead of its time. Best concert I have witnessed to.
Flea and Thom Yorke have the best stage presence in music today. I'm so grateful that these two incredible minds, not to mention Nigel, have come together to foster a new sound and musical experience.
I watched the live version first: the one where Thom just played the bass loop and then the chords on keyboard. It was really awesome. And then there's this. It's something else, and it's insane!
An anecdote of the song I have: Back when The Eraser came out I always pictured it being "Dont ask me, ask my man, ask Flea". I was like: There we have it, two of my favorite musicians have to be friends so that the universe makes even more sense. It was being meant like "Flea was not just in line with the thought process of Thom but even knew better" in regards to that conspiracy around Harrowdown Hill and the politician. I pictured Flea and Thom phoning a lot and sharing their views and one knows they are both politically very much involved. That is also why Thom sings "We think the same things at the same time" in regards of his conversations with Flea. At some moment I realized that it actually was officially in the lyrics "Ask the ministry". It was at that moment that I screwed those official lyrics because I was already emotionally way more beautifully attached to the line being "Ask my man, ask Flea".... Also I thought: "Hey, maybe Thom meant in two ways so that the lyrics make sense double-sided. Well, then "Atoms For Peace" got into existence. THAT made perfect sense by that time. Life plays sometimes jokes!
BTW: Thoms best siong in my opinion. Especially this version. I remember when it got launched into that soundhalo-app. WOW! That solo at the end is going sooooo strong.

To those saying "poor singing" and "OMG Thom Yorke SUCKS", look at him. He's fucking dancing and moving like a maniac because he's into his music, which makes it very hard to sing as if he were standing still.
This feels like a gig from 2094
clairemarissa0208 perfect.
clairemarissa0208 I'm sure bass guitars will be obsolete in the year 2094.
+Ryan Eakin not likely if fools still be playin' em like flea do..

It's a nice thought. Noticed your comment in the year 2020.
I met Nigel once and inadvertently insulted him, I think. Nigel: you are a legend.
jonny dont ask
The percussion in this is insane
Mauro Refosco is a god
I know right!? It's blowing my mind
This band has the best rhythm section of all time
Thom Yorke is his own hypeman
The lyrics......🤯👌no words for this, perfection exists 🙏
4:33 Right when you expect the song to start ending it picks right back up. Goosebump inducing, honestly. Those drums, holy Hell ...
Yeah absolutely. I nearly orgasmed when it didn't end and just accelerated to that awesome outro.
I wish Atoms For Peace would release more albums & build out their musical universe!!!!
From 0:16 to 0:30 Who on earth can dance like him? It drives me crazy, love him
thought the exact same when i was watching haha
@@acoustic-gymnastics 😉
This is fucking amazing! Such a transformations from the album version.
Plus, I LOVE how Thom dances like nobody's watching.
He's definitely on the MDMA here
wow this band rocks

Joey is one of the most underrated drummers in the past 30 years
This man is on another dimension.
That synth is amazing
if there was a man to be the best in music, it would be thom yorke.
What a night...one of the best gigs I've ever been to!!!!!
I was there and the whole last minute of this felt amazingly intense... what a great performance!
Totally agree. One of the best moments of any gig I’ve ever been to.
Best. Concert. EVER! Saw them last week at The Hollywood Bowl...Perma-Grin for DAYS!!!
im happy this exists
2:18 is the ultimate audiogsam. That's pure ecstacy right there!
🥰💜😍
I wish i was there for this concert..
They so obviously love performing together! It's exhilarating to watch! Wish I had been there!
fucking epic, feels like the performance at the end of the world.

My favorite tune!
This is simply amazing.
Still is amazing.
I have to watch this at least once a year. It’s so fantastic. One of my most favourite Thom performances - the energy is incredible.
This band should be touring forever
that is pure electricity. just insane!
This is a great version of it. So many of Radiohead/Atoms' songs seem more compelling when played live.
Indeed.
Isn't this a Thom Yorke solo song?
@@barriniho Yep, it's off Eraser, I think.
Wow this is badass!! This is a whole new kind of techno.
Love this version! Wow 🖤
*THEY'RE ON FIRE!* 🔥
well I've honestly never seen Thom so much into a song, as this one!
yeah.this and the gloaming
We think the same things at the same time
just imagine being in the audience there
+Eyal Levy it was as good as you imagine it to be. Saw them 2 nights there and it was breathtaking
+Eyal Levy i would have started a mosh pit.. those people aren't enjoying the guitar solo correctly
i was jus thinking that
i would be dead
I was in the front row, just behind the camera that does the close up on Thom. One of the greatest nights of my life.
This is so dope
Powerful drum !
sweet recording! great quality on both visual and audio
jesus look at flea's hands go
Yes indeed😂magic powers👌
look at these 2 legends
It's somewhat odd to be jumping up and down in joy to a song about someone's death, but there we are....
A MC Suffolk This is a protest song. I definitely see your point, but jumping around doesn't imply joy, just energy.
@@ozarkecologies thats my favourite think about Thom's music. You can dance on it but in a dark and melancholic way, sometimes in an angry way.
I was there, right in the front. One of the best gigs of my life.
Beautiful motion graphics, too. 💙💜💙💜
Amazing!
2 good...every one else should just give up now
The atonality is deliberate; you probably wouldn't like Tom Waits either. Stick with Pop Idol - you're safe with that.
Waits rocks too !
Beautiful groove
Best video on TH-cam!
Saw them at Exit...and what a show it was.
this is perfect
Any time I’m down, I can come to a live Atoms for Peace performance and be reminded that Flea is doing bass
I was supposed to see Thom's show in Chicago last April, but covid happened. Hope to see it when everything returns to normal in terms of concerts
SO MUCH LOVE
The best.
Nice dance Tom. Im gonna need some lessons! Great version
Fucking AWESOME!
I was there! That last high-pitched scream of excitement at 0:05 was mine. I am a grown man, by the way.
