The energy that Thom and Flea bring to the stage is insane.
I saw them in Chicago on this tour, and I thought it was the best percussion section I have ever heard.
Rhythm Rhythm Rhythm! It's like every live track they perform places the listener in a light trance. Genius work.
I love the use of a berimbau to play the main guitar riff.
These musicians have done so much in their lives and don't look to be stopping anytime soon. Such a great feeling to watch this!

Have you ever watched Thom play The Clock solo (It's on youtube)? Amazing. It's nice to see them singing it in concert. I think the band is coming along nicely since the beginning of the tour. Flea makes me smile, and Thom is holding up well.

I think the sound that Radiohead has in recordings can be called clean because of the precision of the assembly and messy at the same time because it doesn't adhere to any particular standard, which makes it so dream-like and amazing, at least for me.

He's singing really really well here in my opinion, and I know what I am talking about.
the dynamic you're referring to usually comes about because they compose the "vaccuum packed" sound you're referring to in the studio first, usually out of loops, then figure out ways to perform the sounds they created with live instrumentation in a live setting

Thats why you've got em live, i would personaly be bored to death if they recorded it as they play it. I love all the "studio as an instrument" and "sonic exploration" thats in electronica. And anyways, the eraser was done with just a lap, wich has both: its limitations AND its individuality.
Anyways, its like having two diferent versions to enjoy for me...

Thanks. :-) But yes, seems to be the wrong order. Well, once they record/assemble their album they just have to do it again live in the studio. :-) They did that live session of King Of Limbs stuff, I seem to remember, or maybe it was the one before, and it sounded SO much better than the record. Okay, Thom's vocals can get a bit breathy sometimes, he-he. :-D

I keep wondering why they don't PLAY the songs like this on the record. Instead of all tat sterile electronic loop stuff. I would say that the same almost goes for Radiohead. They CAN play their music amazingly, but when record they seem to ASSEMBLE instead - and vacuum pack the sound. Such a shame. The music deserves much better. I mean, if they COULDN'T play it, whatever, but they CAN. And VERY well so! I simply don't get it. All that dynamic that is lost.
I wonder what the HELL!! Hapened to Thom Yorke... :1... still pretty awesome but .,. it's not the same I thought He was around 5 years ago...
