Jamie you should look uptge Strathcona Cup between Scotkand and Canada. I forget how many years it's been going on but it's the longest running bonspiel I believe. It was just in Fergus Ontario a few weeks ago. Thank you for all your videos! They are very helpful!

At our bonspiel in Kansas City, the prizes are barbecue themed. I have won a bottle of sauce and some bottle openers and grill utensils. :) I've only been curling almost two years, so my team was very surprised to win anything.

I know I'm WAYYYY late to the party here, but still gotta say, this video is flippin' hilarious Jamie! It's so cool that you create and share videos like these that showcase your personality, in addition to all the great instructional curling videos you produce. Soooo, I'm thinking that in the last couple years since you made this, surely you've come across 10 more "weird" facts in your curling travels...so how about a sequel from you and your toaster?!?!? :)

Add to comment on Curling Fact # 1 about Paul Gowsell eating Pizza on the ice, is explained in the Calgary Herald Newspaper, also he was the first to wear pants plaid Pants on the Ice, way before Norway did that in the 2010 Winter Olympics... See this link...

    Hi Jamie,
I recently found your videos and I think they are awesome. I am the coordinator and one of the coaches for the Junior league at the Curling Club of Kingsville in Kingsville, Ontario. I played some of your videos for the kids today and they all liked them! Very helpful! Where is your home Curling club? Thanks for doing these videos!
If George Clooney comes Curling invite me please! That would be awesome!
Have a great day and good Curling,
    Stephanie Heaton

Not sure if I should step in here, but in case someone sees this question again.
I don't know if all players use the same system, but it's a way for the sweepers to tell the skip how fast the stone is going and how far they think the stone will slide on its own. The way I learned it uses numbers 1-10; 1 is just across the hog line, 4 is the top of the house, 7 is the tee line (which runs across the house through the button), and 10 is the back of the house.
