Legend for us who played wow at the time. "Här kan man va' och här kan man va'." and "Du är en ninja Lars-Olof." was used a lot while playing.

"The parliment" was a comedy show that was on swedish TV. Consisted of two "teams" with two people in each team. Basically they sit on a panel with a host between them, and they'll be given certain tasks or commands during the show that they'll have to follow. In the end the audience gets to vote on which team was the funniest. Björn used to be on that show, along with other famous swedish comedians. The teams always consisted of the same 8-10 teams with the same comedians, just rotating around from one episode to the other.
And in this "parliment" show, there was numerous times where Björn was making fun of the gaming community, and the wow community in particular. So thats the referrence he is making to "himself" and that show.

You can compare "Parlamentet" with the british and american TV show "Whose line is it anyway?" but in the swedish show they're always in 2 teams and there's a lot less acting out scenarios.
The Parliment is actually a swedish version of "If I ruled the world", a british panel show from the 90:s.

@@Noslhoo Robert är nästintill oslagbar i Parlamentet. På sina 22 första deltaganden vann hans lag 15 gånger. Efter det vet jag inte, hittar tyvärr ingen data eller statistik, men skulle gärna vilja vet vem som har den bästa statistiken i Parlamentet. Att Hjelt har gjort flest framträdanden har jag i alla fall räknat ut.
What’s a bit lost in translation here is also the Gothenburg/(correction) western Swedish dialect. Just the icing on the cake for me!

wow jocke is a legend. so many lines are so quotable. i think me and my friends have had whole conversations just quoting him
This video came out 15+ years ago, and I still quote it regularly. Can't see the time 13.37 without thinking "Eliiiite", and say "här kan man va" ("you can stand here") a bit too often. As do others, some things just stick 😂
Try and find the bit where his girlfriend left him and he's free to "do whatever he wants". Including throwing porridge around the kitchen :D

Love this one so much! I used to play a lot of WoW (a lot) and I had seen his bits about it in "Parlamentet" which is refered in this one so it really struck home and gold with this skit. =)

Björn is a legend. My absolute favorite comedian.
"Jocke" is a nickname for "Joakim", which is a fairly common Swedish name, if a bit old-fashioned. It's pronounced "yook-eh". In Swedish, the letter "j" is pronounced softly, like the "y" in the English word "you."

You should watch his performance in Melodifestivalen (The Swedish competition to select our Eurovision entry) this year, when he formed the boy band Björnzone.
Mert, please check out "Sweden is the annoying neighbour of Finland". It's hilarious and not as harsh as the title suggests.
I think you really need the context for this to be funny. About his time and jokes in the show the parlament, understand his accent which makes it funnier, understand the joke about the jolt cola he drinks, lars-olaf is a pretty funny name / old persons name and much more.

The only thing that makes me sad about this is that you're missing out on his wooonderful accent, it's spot on for a nerdy game living somewhere deep in the countryside.
I remember u asked about the labour market in Sweden before. I don't know ur profession. But up in the north of Sweden there's a Growth in GDP and it's a shortage of labour. I would say Al the coastline up from Umeå thru the cities there to Luleå and up to the Mining town of Kiruna.
I've been trying to find English sub versions of the Nile City skits, for you to react to. One of the best Swedish comedy series ever. But sadly I can't find any. I hope someone will make english subs for them, they are awesome 😆

To this day I still think “elite” every time I see the clock at 13:37 (we use the 24h system). Once a gamer always a gamer 😂 There is a Swedish comedy show about a mayor that’s sort of like a Swedish version of The Office and the mayor or maybe it was one of the other guys in the show was obsessed with WOW and thought it more important than politics it was a good show.
Can you hear any difference in Swedish dialects? For example Björn is from Gothenburg and is putting on a pretty heavy dialect in this clip whilst Henrik Schyffert (the intervjuer) is from Stockholm and naturally has a pretty heavy Stockholm dialect :)

Also, love Parlamentet! I'm in my mid 30s and watched it ever since I was young until it was discontinued. Insane. Björn (and, tbh, most great Swedish comedians) did some really fun stuff on there, I hope you can find some subs.
Please watch/react to Parlamentet (as said) its a goldmine of Swedish Comedy and kinda alitte mockery of the politicians..

Björn Gustaffson is incredible funny in "People of earth" (a canadian recorded comedy series) and in "Nissene over skog og hei" (a norwegian comedy series, one of the funniest shows out there).

Bjorn is really overrated. He made some fun stuff like 10 years ago and now he'a like a fading cult figure. I never seen anything funny from him in like yes - 10-15 years. Please don't look at this as "swedish comedy".
