I'm trying to figure out why I can't hear any playback audio out of the actual camera after I record a video.. I've checked all the basic things like the microphone is on the playback volume card is for matted all of that.. anybody have any clues?
Very cool I just got one my self have yet to use it, but I will be soon hopefully. Thank you for taking the time to go through videoing kinda all the in and outs and how it's used. Much respect God Bless and have a good one!
It would have been nice to get detailed info about the different functions such as EV, ISO, basic settings to get people going and what they can expect from those settings. The wind noise made it tough to follow.
I have that cam. Had a question. Trying to get longer videos but it only records 13.29 min. then stops and records again. Like a dash cam would. There is a driving mode and can be set to dash cam but up to 5 min. Just want to be able to record an hr or more. Not 13.28 min. HOPE YOU CAN HELP? thank you.
Good intro video Bearded outdoors guy, thank you, I got a bunch of brackets and accessories i dont know what to do with, its my 1st ever action camera, I`ll figure it out
You didn't cover this, but why doesn't image stabilization work on the highest quality video mode ( 720p 240 fs) . Which mode, in which image stabelization works, is the highest quality we can set it to?
You don’t just press, you have to hold it down for about 3 seconds. If that doesn’t work, try formatting your card. An unformatted card can make a camera do crazy things.
I would need to record a full marathon ( 5-6 hours), can I keep recording while connecting it to a power bank? Which memory size would you recommend knowing that I won't use 4k resolution (1080 or 720 only) ?
hey mate awesome review thanks, i am looking at buying my first action camera for holiday and for kids mainly in the water. would you recommend this camera or another one?
Thanks for watching and for the question. I would highly recommend this one. Mainly because it is waterproof and has a built in tripod mount. Are you wanting to capture audio with your videos or just record video?
@@TheBeardedOutdoorsman18 thanks very much for the reply audio doesn't bother me so much yes it would be handy for somethings but it's not a deal breaker just wanted something of good build quality and picture.
If there is not real need for audio, I would recommend either the EK7000 pro or the Brave 7 LE. The Brave has the benefits of being waterproof and the built in tripod mount that the EK7000 pro doesn’t have either of these but the price difference is there. Over all, I really think that out of the cameras I have, the Brave 7 LE would best fit your needs being on the water. You will have that sense of security knowing it’s waterproof, in the event you drop it or it rains. Audio just isn’t great on any of them but they have a lot of photo/video settings that you find the perfect crisp image you want. They do make an external mic, I have only tested it with the Brave 7le and it makes a world of difference. It is wired though.

@@TheBeardedOutdoorsman18 yep. All of it. EV. 50/60Hz. 4k30 vs 2.760 vs all the others. Different lighting. All grainy. Internal stabilization and not. Wind reduction. Metering. Everything. Will check out the video.
Yeah mine shows a microphone but doesn't really say a microphone op.. does your camera play back your audio like actually on the camera from the camera cuz I'm not getting any playback audio
Anybody have sound problems with theirs? Not used mine in anger yet because of the crackling noise which drowns out any voice or other sounds, which are very quiet on playback. Most annoying and verging on unusable.
One very simple feature that I need to have in my action cam to record my kid's football matches: can I pause the video recording and than resume recording as I do with my smartphone? I was extremely desappointed with the Osmo Action 3 which does not allow me to pause and resume, I have to stop the recording everytime they kick the ball far away from the field and start a new video they have the ball rolling again. This is extremely annoying and I find the buttons hard to press. The Osmo action 3 will be returned. Is the Akaso Brave 7 LE a better alternative?
It doesn’t pause recording, it just stops. But I feel like that would be better, it would result in shorter videos. But thanks for watching and the question.
@@TheBeardedOutdoorsman18 Thanks for your prompt reply. I still make short videos, 8min max but it's really annoying to have around 30 videos of a minute and a half per match, for instance. I mean there's so much "down time" that's not interesting to record and pausing is much quicker and more convenient then recording 8min and then cut the "down time" when editing, as an alternative to having 30 short videos. I guess I'll just stick with my phone then. I just wished to find a lighter camera with better video quality then my phone. No pause feature is a deal breaker for me.
Go watch my behind the scenes video, Behind The Scenes with The Bearded Outdoorsman th-cam.com/video/Pm_xEDhEdQI/w-d-xo.html in this video I show setting up 2 and running together. It would be the same process for 3 or more.
Can anyone tell me if you can power this cam with an external USB C battery brick? I want to use this as a dashcam (driving mode; looping) for long drives (many hours).
@TheBeardedOutdoorsman18 I have a Nissan Maxima. It has only one outlet, tucked at the bottom of the center console. Running it to that outlet is weird and could get snagged as I reach for coffee in the center cup holder. I also power my phone from that outlet (I know I can get a split plug but i don't want 2 lines cluttering up). Since my comment, I bought the Brave 7 LE. I already have a small but high capacity power brick and it does power the cam. My plan is to put the cam on a suction dash mount, place a sticky pad on the dash next to the cam and the external battery on the pad. I'm not leaving for a couple of weeks. I'll update this comment with the results.
@@TheBeardedOutdoorsman18 Will do. My drive is a two day trip to Fla from PA (and back later). I'll stay one night in a motel and charge the external battery overnight and then head out for day two.
@TheBeardedOutdoorsman18 I did a 20 minute test run. I mounted the cam on a dash suction mount (on an adhesive base disk) and ran from internal battery. It went generally well. The view area was fine, BUT the glare was horrible. But I haven't given the interior windshield a proper cleaning in a year so there is film and it was sunny. Aside: the audio from the cam is barely audible, but it's there; transferring to a computer, it comes out as good as expected. I'll update as I do more testing (clean windshield, external battery, etc).
I bought this camera to put on my kayak while kayak fishing just received It yesterday what would you suggest the best resolution and sd card for 8 hours or so think i read It only does 10 min intervals please dummy proof comment what you would do haha
Thanks for watching. I use 32gb cards and at 1080p30fps, it will hold about 3 1/2 hours of video. You could either jump up in card size and/or drop resolution to 720p. I haven't done any long form videos with the 7 LE but I know that my other AKASO cameras do 30 min intervals. Which is extremely nice when exporting or if you only want to keep a section. The interval recording is a good thing. Best advice I can give you, mount it to your kayak and take it on a test run. While on the test run do short videos with the different resolutions.
