OMG - us too! Middle School teachers - 8th social studies and Middle grades Mild Intellectual disabilities class and two kiddos. Started reselling to pay for my son's medical bills and have not stopped. It's great!
Becky, I'm glad that you're happier the last few months. You had a few months in 2022 that I could tell you weren't feeling it... and that's a rough spot to be. Welcome back positive energy!
Nice work, Becky! Theses are perfect tips to use moving forward. You're right about using a VA extension, it helped me make so many sales in the middle of the night by sending out offers while I slept. Most of my sales aren't my esthetic, like all the "blingy" jeans or "old lady" clothes, or the young trendy clothing, but I took your advice last year and just list what sells even when I internally cringe. Thank you for all the help you give the reselling community!
I like what you said about listing things you wouldn’t necessarily wear. Sometimes I’ll list things that I personally think are really ugly or won’t sell, and surprisingly I feel like those items sell faster! Haha
New reseller here - a few weeks in and made a little over $600 on poshmark from my personal closet. Just branched out to sourcing at my local Salvation Army. Your videos are so helpful. Here’s to a 5 figure year 🎉🎉
Teachers deserve to make so more money. Great video and great tips! Love that you don’t curate your closet and turn away things that might not be your style. I have picked up some men’s items along with plus sizes and they have been selling better than other things. Love seeing the variety of brands also. Great tip on community and picking up stuff from other resellers - seems like an easy way to find inventory.
Thank you for all of your advice! I started using List Perfectly recently and am learning as I go! I am a retired HS Spanish teacher, and now resell full time!
Thanks for sharing these tips. I have a full-time job and am just getting started part-time reselling so this video was very helpful to me. Congratulations on a great year!
Great tips here. One platform at a time is the perfect way to start and learn. I was part time with only 1 platform for many years. Diversifying is best but only if you're ready. Starting several platforms at the same time can be very overwhelming. Grow at your own pace. -Samantha
honestly, this is where we are at and my husband and I make a good living. He is an attorney, but we have a lot of student loan debt from his law school and I'm hoping to pay that off reselling.
Thank you for your superior content!!! So glad you're feeling energized and hope the move is going well! Trying to decide on a way to merge content from all platforms and have a way to know my numbers clearly; spreadsheets, reports, 'merging,' etc are all new areas for me! Thinking about trying My Reseller Genie, but I feel so intimidated by it all and wonder how people make it easier but effective, regarding tools implemented.
My daughter and niece are in the same situation with both being teachers! Of course, my daughter doesn't sell! Lol She just loves going through my haul! 😊
Video idea! Hi Becky, you talk all the time about your amazing husband and getting out stains. Would you do a video with him and show us some of his tips and tricks? Thanks so much for all your great videos and information!!! ❤
Which site(s) would you say are best for vintage and current? I am just about to stat reselling and I have a lot of both genres but don't have the expertise to start selling across more than a couple of sites.
Thanks for taking the time to share your tips and ideas! I’m getting ready to transition to full time reselling after being on Poshmark only since 2015. I’d like to change my closet name to be consistent with my new business name but I have 217,000 followers. Would you start a new closet with that in mind? Also, with List Perfectly, which level would you recommend for someone who’s never used it? Thank you!!
This was my first year reselling as a business and I’m almost shocked what I was able to make. My 1099 from Poshmark seems higher than what actually hit my bank account from them. I’m trying to phase out my business this year due to ongoing health issues. Anyone have good ideas about how to liquidate? Thanks as always for your great info Becky!!
Love the video, I have learned do much from you. Question if you charge more for shipping than what it cost to ship the item out eg, if you charge $7 and shipping actually comes out to $6.15, what do you do then?
Don't worry about that, and don't compare your life to other peoples lives. The majority of people in the world have never traveled far from their homes. If it's something important to you, make a plan of how to achieve that goal. Good luck!

Oh my goodness I’m glad it’s working for you but I can’t imagine having medical bills.. (Canadian). That is so sad 😢

Teachers are awesome and deserve a salary that matches the hard and emotional work they do! Also....love your blouse.

We couldn't agree more with Tip #4!😉 Thanks for sharing the LP Love, Becky!

I'm a central IL lady also. Planning to get more active this year. Your video's are so informative.

That’s how much I make working full time 😅 love this ❤
It’s hard to find the time, working full time job but I do love thrifting
I always take things from people who offer me stuff for free. Whether it is big or small, and sells for a little or a lot, it's all profit for me!

Yes, your 1099 is gross. Will need to deduct expenses when filing taxes. Congrats & welcome to joining reseller club
You can sell on whatnot
Omg - first grade teacher here! 🙋🏻♀️
Love the video, I have learned do much from you. Question if you charge more for shipping than what it cost to ship the item out eg, if you charge $7 and shipping actually comes out to $6.15, what do you do then?
Becky- was theirs your net or gross sales? I’m curious how this affected your taxes after adding in your teacher salaries. Thank you!
I can't believe you found a Stussy shirt!!! ❤ I never owned Stussy, but also wanted to.
How are you able to provide free shipping on your website?
I am married almost 30 years and have yet to go on vacation.
Sigh…

That’s aweful! Take a weekend camping trip.
I made more reselling than I did in my full time position. Just can't convince the husband to let me go full time.
Is this after taxes? I was just curious.
Becky I am curious how many listings do you have ? To make that money. I am part time as well , pretty small right now but trying to ramp it up .
I would love if you would share this at the end of your what solds! It would motivate me to know how many listings you have!
I just looked. Becky has 5808 listings on Poshmark.
@@sarahmcgrew8615 thank you . I like knowing because it helps me determine where I should be . Thank you so much
667th like you're welcome LOL
Congrats Becky! I’m so proud of you, thank you for all your awesome videos last year💖💖💖😄 P.s. love your blouse 🤩 Where is it from? ❣️ @beckyparkco
