- What does it take to live a happy and fulfilled life? In my opinion, it's the simple things that make life wonderful. Simple living is about things we already have - things you don't necessarily need money for. They are within our daily and ordinary life. We just need to keep an eye on the inconspicuous and perceive our surroundings.

The best think that I have ever done for myself is to take early retirement from my job which I loved to finally start living my life... this life!

Agree beautiful life ideal...but in modern society with the lifestyle we have the 8 hours spend on work ,some time spending on moving from work to the house and opposite and after that no energy body pain (depends on the job of its physical demanding ) and brain fog unfortunately....need for less work hours with decent salary to live ...not surviving but thriving..
Beautiful...I had to swallow my tears a bit and give my dog an extra hug. Its so easy to be swept along in life and forget these tiny details.

I totally agree that the observation of , and connection to Nature in all its splendor and complexities is very much part of 'simple living' of LIFE itself. Watching this peaceful video with its beautiful images of Nature, I can't help but wonder how a "simple life' can be attained if one is living in the crowded cities , or does not have the resources to afford time-out, or being a refugee in a camp , as thousands are and in squalid conditions? My point is : It's a PRIVILEDGE that not many people can have - certainly not the majority - and I'm so grateful to the Universe that I am one of the blessed few.
Simple living is more of a mindset than certain circumstances. Living close to nature is one way to practice simple living. And that's right, not everyone is able to do this. But simple living is a way to perceive things, to enjoy small thing and be in the moment. And that is possible, regardless of where you live. Even though I live close to nature, I often don't get the chance to go outside. Nevertheless I'm practicing simple living, for example by enjoying a warm cup of tea in the winter. There are many ways to practice simple living, no matter where you live and how much money you have, even if time is limited ☺️
And of course, there are many people in very difficult and terrible situations, just like you mentioned (e.g. refugees). They often lost their families and homes. So I'm sure they can't give much thought about simple living, when such terrible things are going on in their lives. And I'm sure that everyone of us can be or maybe even have been in such a situations before. So I agree with you. I feel very grateful to be able (be privileged) to live in a peaceful country. But I'm sure this can change very quickly.
Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Thanks for helping me see those small things. You have a beautiful soul. Be well and happy. And whenever I become sad, I watch this video. Literally I get goosebumps in every scene. You have a nice sense of cinematography aesthetic.

Sabi, I have been observing nature and the simple things in life during my day like in this video. Mainly whilst walking my dog. The world around us is amazing.
That's true ❤️. The closer we look, the more beautiful things we can see. Especially in the summer time, the world around us is full of life.
Such an important message, we get carried away constantly working with no time for our hobbies, family and friends and it destroys our soul, we forget how to live. I have learnt the hard way that most important in this world is "Your Physical and Mental Health" You lose both you have nothing, and it doesn't matter how rich you are. This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my TH-cam channel 6 months ago about self development. Now I have 435 subs and > 100 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

@@SabiRoes Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say based on your posts and profile that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my TH-cam channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a TH-camr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. @@SabiRoesThank you! Consistency is really important for any growth. In fact, my bags were stolen not too long ago and I'm basically back to zero. This is just another challenge that I have to overcome. Setbacks are just part of life and so learning and growth. This is what my channel is all about. About being strong whatever life throws at me although it’s not always easy to stay strong especially during storms but at least try to take even little steps even when it gets tougher. Keeping in mind I'm not immune to challenges in life like everybody makes me focus on solutions. It sucks and I was feeling down for a few days after it happened but I chose to bounce back and start all over again after losing months' worth of work as my hard drives were in my stolen bags. 80% of my camera gears are gone but I recently bought new ones to keep going. Obviously, it will slow down the completion of my next video but as long as I am moving forward, that's all that really counts.

I'm 15 years old and I have a very bad ocd. When I came up to my mom she said that It's all because of phone and instead of supporting me she forces me to become more extroverted. She doesn't believe in therapy or in mental illness . And when I was 12 years old I found out that I am homosexual and I don't know how I will tell my parents about this .If they can't accept the fact that I am mentally ill then how will they accept me for who I am.
I'm glad that peaceful videos like these exist , I'm alive only because of these. I wish I had people like you around me but unfortunately, I am always physically surrounded by negative people. Thank you very much for creating these kind of videos.
I'm touched by your words and your story. Try to not let negative people affect your life and your personality. I'm sure you are just great the way you are und will find your path. Other people are often uncomprehending and try to project their expectations on you, but only youself know what's the best. Try to find places and people, where you can be your true self and distance from the negative, if possible. Whenever the circumstances are right, try to find a place of your own. For now, maybe you have got a teacher you can talk about your ocd and your sexuality. I wish you the best and you will find your way ❤️

15 is a difficult age. If you can just hold on for a few more years, you can venture out on your own surrounding yourself with positive and like minded people. You can make your own choices to be who you are... be happy...... be appreciated..... Of course one wants your family to accept who you are, but that doesn't always happen. Tho I have a loving family, I have lived many miles away from them. I have many dear dear friends who are my family and love me for who I am. I wish the same for you in your life moving forward.❤

I love to keep things as simple as possible. I don't want to live in our world of want instead just be happy and don't want more , in our world of greed. Wasting our lives chasing money what we could do with out because most earn more than we need. Live life and don't want is the answer. The only thing I want is time .
I feel the same way like you Ian. Time, health and happiness are one of the most important things I guess.
Rediscovering life is simply like that and give the people a sense of well-being.

A single life = A simple life = A peaceful mind , free of the obligations which is expected in relationships.
A simple life definitely brings me peace of mind. But I guess simple living is not necessarily attached to certain circumstances, like being single or in a relationship. To me, It's more a state of mind, a way to perceive things and being happy / greatful for what you have :)

The problem with modern city, over consumerism , brands craving, artificially provides the flocks to try to “earn” and secure the materials to make them feel superior and “happier” to fellow people and the blind rat race is like running in a cog wheel that have no ending that tired out many….and the need to go back basic such as video said is very timely reminder
I guess a better balance between the progress of modern time and slowing down would help a lot. Our society and economy is shaped by improvement and making profit - sadly on cost of everything else. Of course progress is important, otherwise we could not live the lifes we do right now, but It shouldn't stand above everything else.

Dass du die Stimme dumpf wahrnimmst liegt wahrscheinlich daran, dass sie nach der Aufnahme noch mit einem Equalizer und einem Rauschfilter bearbeitet wurde. Ansonsten wären sehr viele Störgeräusche zu hören. Das ist gängig bei Studioaufnahmen und verbessert die Sprachqualität eher 😊

I dream of living a simple life away from capitalism and the pressure of social media, but as an Arabian, I find it hard to move abroad to places like Norway or Switzerland. There are no farms or forests here where I can live peacefully. I’m stuck in a system that forces me to work hard, study harder, and compete endlessly with others. It’s exhausting. I’ve given myself 4 years to figure out how to live an ordinary life without constantly chasing money and success. If I can't, I don’t see the point in continuing this meaningless existence.

Technology can be both curse and blessing. Without technology, I wouldn't be able to make these videos. But too much technology unfortunately also makes us drift away from the simple life. I think the balance of both is a good way to go 😊

I was born and lived in a city until 10 years ago. I felt the same way like you. I always enjoyed being in nature and really valued my time there . I hope you often get the chance to go outside and spent time in nature ❤️
@@SabiRoes Oh, I do go out for walks in local parks all the time... And they are a little manicured patches of nature in this concrete jungle, I enjoy them but nothing to match the unbridled landscapes you featured in your video... Anyway, which part of the world you live in?
Oh, I understand. Maybe you get the chance to move to a more rural area someday? To me, moving to a rural area changed a lot. But I also know, that this is not an option for everyone.
