I think people confuse learning structural principals vs specific range techniques and game play. The simple solution is to adapt the trapping principals for what your interested in learning to do. If you want to use trapping to box then learn to box and adapt your inside fighting utilizing traps. If you want to kickbox then adapt your entering with trapping to maintain close quarter kicking and punching. If you want to wrestle then adapt your gripping and tying up to separate and secure your traps for takedowns and holds.
Trapping is a range that transverses other ranges as a vehicle for energy exchange or technique transition... There is literally trapping taking place in all functional martial arts or sports.
Learn the structural advantages and apply sensitivity and timing when necessary to work trapping advantages in... 👊

Why does this art look nothing like real fighting? Standing square, flat footed, chin high, linear movement, it doesn't translate well .

The way it’s trained and the way it’s applied isn’t the same thing.

@@axelstone3131 Right! Train one way & fight another. The truth is the paradox.

how often does training look like a fight? this is not a fight camp. this is a seminar for hobbyists of varying levels.
