@@harshtymesteggy fa sho! I'd love to see some pics/video of your S13. I did hear in your conversation that it was in some of the footage from F5, but not sure if it was reshot after the footage was ruined. The hatch that I have, its been thru a lot of tours of duty. Its clean but it has been beat up. The '89 coupe I have was owned by a writer from Sport Compact Car Magazine and MotorTrend. A lot of the articles he wrote on that particular car are still up on MotoIQ's web site. My plan is to restore that one and sell it complete with copies of all of the articles the car was in. I hope to never get rid of that hatch though.

@@harshtymesteggy Hey man thanks for the reply! Your channel is awesome, keep up the great work!
      (SORRY LONG COMMENT! ⚠⚠)
I live in Eastern Canada (RUST BELT!) and my Civ is a 2012, so my installation was a little more difficult due to the amount of rust on the original exhaust! I don't have an impact but I have a pretty good set of wrenches and ratchets, so I had to do it all with muscle power! 💪 The first flange was so rusted that I had to remove the cat + intermediate pipe combo from the car to be able to grind all 3 of the studs off and pop them out. They didn't even look like nuts anymore they were just a rounded mess of rust. That 3-bolt flange (the first one that meets up with the new skunk2 stuff) was SO deteriorated from rust that on one side of the gasket it was missing enough metal to probably leak, so I have some RTV Silicone to fill in that gap and that should get me through until I can do a proper flange repair there (But in all reality I will probably just buy the skunk2 header instead ;)
In the process of that, I snapped one of the springy bolts that attaches the cat to the downpipe, so I had to grind out the welded nut on that side and replace that with a nut+bolt combo. And replace that donut gasket. Man it's tough getting those springy bolts back in because you have to compress the spring enough to get the bolt through enough to catch some threads, even with a c-clamp helping with the pressure it was not easy!
I have been hacking at it for the better part of a month whenever I have free time and I'm finally done all the hard work, tonight I should be able to finally bolt up the new skunk and see how it sounds. It was a difficult process but I learned a lot and I gained a ton of confidence on my mechanical abilities through this.
I asked for advice on some forums and they all told me to just bring it to a shop because I would not be able to do this myself, but I stayed strong, watched your video a bunch of times. Now the hard part is over. I spent a bit of money buying some tools to do the various things I needed to do, but I still paid less than what a shop would charge, and now I own these tools forever.
Finally: thank god you mentioned about grinding down that bolt on one of the heat shields , I was able to take care of that before putting the skunk in which made it easy to avoid that problem. The last thing I need to do tonight is find that piece of the heat shield where you bent it in and then I should be on easy street bolting the new gear in.
So basically I'm just trying to say thanks for the detailed instructions in this video and I'm sure it helped a lot of people out, especially the tips at the end about fixing the rattling noise. I'm sure once I hear how it sounds tonight everything will be worth it. All I know is I would kill to have a hoist, lol.

Since i live up north with salt from snow and years of having the car my catalytic converter bolts were rusted to hell we had to cut the bolts off on each side then drill through then and tap them out, was the hardest part of the install put got the exhaust finally on and sounds great

Why was it important to put that little black cross bar back on? My exhaust piping was hitting it causing a vibration under acceleration so I had to remove it.
