    What’s so troubling about this is that Michael Jordan had (almost) identical PPG numbers with Washington as Clyde Drexler had in his prime (according to this video) and yet, Jerry Stackhouse said that he wish he HADN’T played with Mike in Washington. On a side note though....... I gotta give props to Ewing for that steal and dunk @ 5:23. I think that it was on my 90’s squad too. I loved watching The Bulls play, when I could catch them on national tv, but THAT was a nice steal and dunk by Pat.

    • @Henry-ii1cw
      @Henry-ii1cw 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was. All the players here sans Pippen and Shaq were from mid 80s draft classes. Drafts in the late 80s/early 90s were horrible, which coupled with expansion made the league much less evenly talented than it is today.

    • @ry_an.
      @ry_an. 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Henry-ii1cw Oh no, basketball has changed! It's easy to see why you believe the era was so weak. No mixtapes. No flashy workouts. You can see how different basketball was played back then, seeing as how the talent discrepancy could look so large between the two era's. Neither is necessarily worse or better, but just different. You could argue the old era had more defense, more fundamentals. But the new era has more offense, more evenly individual talented players with more athleticism and fundamentals.

      @Rico Wright fam I don't know how folks think Malone was better then Barkley cus if it wasn't for Stockton as Isaiah Thomas pointed out Malone would've never been seen as being a hall of famer. Cus I need folks to name me one thing he was better at than Barkley cus they both ran the floor great, both had post up moves, but where it separates is Barkley was a better ball handler, passer, and rebounder and neither was great at defense so that's a scratch. Also I feel u on Clyde Drexler cus he don't get the credit he deserve but I must let u kno that he did play with other all stars cus Terry Porter went to several all star games as well as Cliff Robinson play in one

His Portland teams were usually in the top 3 in regular season wins those seasons including the best record in '91 (63 wins). Then, he goes onto Houston and finally gets his ring with Olajuwon in '95. Drexler was the second best shooting guard from the late 80s into the mid 90s.

      If scoring is all you care about, Drexler averaged more scoring in the 90s. Drexler averaged 20.9 ppg and Stockton only averaged 14.9 ppg. Stockton wasn't the number one option on his team. However, John was a more effective shooter in the 90s than Drexler. Drexler's eFG% was .494 and Stockton's was .556.
