    I grew up in Chicago. Obviously Jordan was like a god to us. Then Kobe came in the league. And I always hated on Kobe because people argued he was the GOAT over Jordan. It wasn't until Kobe's last game and was finally retiring when I came to my senses and was like, this dude is hands down one of the greatest players of all time. He was an assassin like Jordan. He had the mentality and work ethic like Jordan. I just wish I realized this while I was watching him dominate the league live in person for all those years. RIP Kobe. 💕

      @___Anakin.Skywalker you know what I work and don't have time to hear your nonsense. I'm just going to school you real quick. Lebron came into the NBA in 2003 and was one of the most explosive players in the league. He played for Cleveland for 7 years, FAILING to win a championship. That made him uneasy so he took the easy route and joined up with Dwayne Wayde and Chris Bosh to form the Big 3 in Miami in 2010. They won the championship in 2012 (which was deserved). 2013...Heat DOWN 3 games to 2 in NBA finals to the Spurs. Heat down 3 pts with less than 10 seconds remaining. Lebron air balls his 3 pt attempt....the game tying attempt...Chris Bosh saves him with an incredible rebound and somehow finds Ray Allen on the corner behind the 3 pt line. Ray Allen hits the game tying 3 pointer in game 6 of the NBA Finals (where Heat are
      DOWN 3 games to 2). Heat end up winning that game in overtime and they end up winning game 7 and win that finals. This did not exist in Jordan's career. (Not sure about Kobes because I was a bulls fan). Jordan hit game winners in game 6 of NBA finals. Either that or he assisted the game winner. Jordan never got bailed out in the final seconds of an NBA finals. Jordan also is 6-0 in NBA finals. That, I would consider, is more "GOD" like than Lebron James who is 4-6. Do I need to say more?

      I agree, but there's been an 'Evil' that has been allowed to infiltrate our sports, movies, music, and politics. Our country is no longer ours, and until we wake up, realize, recognize, and call out who they are, and to the extent of what that is, and 'speak up & speak out' about it, we're more 'Doomed' than we could ever imagine. The 'Doom' is so evident now more than ever.

    I can’t help but think that Jordan knew he was retiring and that’s why he was so helpful to Kobe. Here’s a 19 year old kid playing in the NBA. He must have known how special he was and that’s why he didn’t end his career like he did others. Jordan hated sharing the spotlight but he was cool sharing it with Kobe. This is the time I grew up, and it reminds me when the world felt smaller, and more adventurous, like anything could be out there that is undiscovered. Getting to see something like this wasn't available at all times, you had to be there when it was happening, so it felt special to see. I'm not trying to make today's world feel bad, but I can't tell if I was just young and that's why it felt that way. I was a huge basketball fan and Kobe Bryant fan.

    • @hainavidotcom
      @hainavidotcom 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      @@mbr05c You don't know basketball, you never played elite or professional. Otherwise, you would know. I played back then professionally. Guys like you who play AAU hoop get run out of the gym literally.
      The reason why you shoot now is because the NBA wanted to increase scoring by design. They didn't want a defensive league anymore. All you have to do is look at PF and PA from 2004 onward. You will see it clear as day the upward trajectory if you wanna see it. That means everyone benefited from a wide-open lane.
      The NBA is not tougher or more skilled now.
      Shooting threes and travelling and flopping all over the place is not a skill. Real skill goes both ways! O and D.
      Can you handle the rock without carrying the ball and turning it over play at a high HOF level. Bron can't do that, he leads all-time turnovers and missed shots!
      What happens when the defensive 3 sec in the lane is removed? This means big real centers who shot block camp out, multiple of them. you get by your guy, there are 2-4 other guys waiting.
      What happens when forearms and handcecks are allowed? This means they can control your movement with one hand on your hip, refs can't see that most of the time. Okay, you wanna shoot threes? you wanna spread the floor? Okay, we can counter that. all they gonna do is lay hands on you without fouling. This creates fatigue and missed shots. wear and tear.
      What happens when there is tight space?
      This means you have to have a serious skill bag to manoeuvre within that small space. Because you have far more people in your way to attack you and make you uncomfortable. All that fancy dribbling will not work once they bump you. you will lose control.
      None of that exists now. you can blow by one guy and that's it. Most of the time. every blue moon you get someone who really blocks it.
      NBA is trash today, with ratings flopping for the past 30 years! NOBODY IS WATCHING!
      Christmas is down 73%. bro -73%!?? In my business, you get fired for that!

    • @hainavidotcom
      @hainavidotcom 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @andrew - a good experiement would be to showcase late 80s-90s - early 2000s rules vs today. organise it and show them, they will see how hard it is. Bron would get knocked on his ass. These are guys who didn't care about suspensions. No fake Draymonds. I'm talking about Maurice Lucas, Kermit Washington, Charles Oakley, Xavier McDaniel, Sir Charles, Michale Cage, Karl Malone, Bad Boys and many more. Guys were fit and strong and they had grit and effort. They will literally fight you on the spot. Rodman was so strong, he was the same height as Bron, and lighter, but his low base kept SHAQ out of the lane. Shaq weighed 301 lbs!!!
      Today players don't have that. They are most entitled. Load managing BS. They love the fame, not the game like we did.
      These delusional jitterbugs have no clue about getting hit in that lane and the cheap shots. they have no clue. no repercussions.

If you call the 2000-2010 era great, well guess what? Lakers (5), Pistons (1), Spurs (3), Heat (1) and Boston (1) were the only champions....It seemed that Kobe's era had the weaker competition.....After 2010, I don't even consider those teams as great as the ones in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s....No defensive playing showboaters who often hurt themselves who rarely played a full season......

      You can still see tho that MJ's first step was crazy explosive, he relied heavily on that to create advantage for all of his shots. Then there was his leaping ability (on display here as well, Garnett couldn't even sniff his shot for example), to create even more space, and if all of that failed, he'd fake you out and step into layup range, like he did it with Kobe. Most foundamentally sound player i've ever seen on a basketball court, he had the full package in his prime.
