Here's the 24th record. Michael Jordan played in "24" playoff series in which his team was either the better or same seed. He went 24-0. Going strictly by seeding, he was not upset even a single time in the playoffs. We never saw a Michael Jordan upset. He never lost when expected to win.

    • @midnytemassacre
      @midnytemassacre 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Technically, there are many records never to be broken in any given sport.
      Baseball....
Cal Ripken's Record of not missing a single game for *16.5* straight seasons. Only 7 players in history broke 1,000 straight games. Gehrig's record held for 56 years. Regardless, no active player has exceeded more than 300 straight.
The average player only lasts 2 to 3 seasons let alone lasting 17+ to break it. The record, by default, excludes pitchers as a whole considering most pitchers don't play consecutive games.
There's also Connie Mack. He managed for 49 consecutive seasons and holds the records for both wins and losses by a lot. Wins might one day be broken, by to break that loss record you have to be consistently awful and miraculously keep getting hired.
      Soccer..
Asmir Begovic nailed the longest recorded goal at 91.9 meters and only made it due to a violent gust of wind. Can't break, only hope to tie it.
      Football...
You can't break the 99 yard plays, nor 100+ returns, unless the field is made even longer.
Head Coach Chris Ault is the only collegiate head coach to have his team have 3 different running backs eclipse 1,000 yards in a season. While there's been a few to get close to *tying* that record, no one has *ever* gone anywhere near getting 4 players at that mark as it would be nearly impossible feat in college.
On the NFL side, the closest to breaking Brett Favre's career interception mark *was* Eli Manning who was still 100+ short when he departed. Nowadays, you're not keeping a starting job.
Also... 73-0, playoff win by the Bears over the Skins. One other record... Jerry Rice.
      So, I mean.....

    • @dremckinney7877
      @dremckinney7877 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Are you sure about that? You gotta always ALWAYS think about how the game is played and always changing because no one single player will ever EVER score 100pts in one game!!! Wilt will always hold that record. Why? Because current rules won't allow it.

Ok, since nobody responded, let me come up with a top 23 list od MJ records.
-10 scoring champion in the playoffs (it's not a trophy but it still a record)
    - 7 consecutive scoring champion
-26 consecutive points in an nba finals game (without a miss)
-best win shares per game ever in both the regular season and the playoffs
-best win shares per 48 minutes in both regular season and the playoffs
-best value over replacement player per game in both regular season and playoffs
-best box plus/minus ever in the regular season and playoffs
    - Best plus/minus ever in regular season (I assume in the playoffs too).
    - Only player in nba history to lead a team to a championship while leading the league in scoring in the regular season/playoffs/finals multiple times. Shaq is the only other player and did it once (vs MJ six)
    - Never lost a playoffs series having home court advantage (24-0)
    - Only player ever to average over 30 pts/10assist in nba finals history (he also shot 56% in 1991) in a championship run.
    - Most games over 40 points in playoffs history with 38 ames with 40+ points in the playoffs.
    - Highest scoring game in playoffs history with 63 points
    - Won an nba championship with the lowest playoffs scoring supporting cast ever (60,8 pts per game in). The only player ever to lead a lesser scoring supporting cast to even reach the NBA Finals than Jordan did in 1998 is Allen Iverson on the 2001 Sixers (60,3 points per game).
-Only player ever to lead a team to a title with only one player by his side in double digits in the 1997 playoffs. Outside of Pippen who averaged 19, no other Bull managed to even average 8 PPG.
    - 9 times all nba defensive first team.
-3 times scoring champion and steals leader.
-Led the league in scoring with the slowest pace in the entire league (87/88/93).
-7 times sporting news MVP (regular season MVP voted by the players).
-11 times leading regular season in total points.
-1041 consecutive games in double digits including both regular season and playoffs.
-In the 1997 title run, Jordan led a championship team in all 5 main categories (points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks) for 3 rounds of the 1997 Playoffs
. Only Olajuwon did it in a title run.
-10 times led the league in FG made.
    - Only player in nba history to have scored or assisted for over 50% of his team points in an nba title run. (1991,1993,1997).
There you go for 23 (24 in fact...) more nba records of Michael Jordan. I am not sure Wilt Chamberlain has more records than this guy...

Jordan is the greatest offensive player in NBA history and you can make a legitimate argument he was the greatest defender. he's the best defensive shooting guard of all time making 1st team all defense 9 times and actually getting POY on defense once which is ridiculous considering the offensive load he carried. I really don't get the comparisons to Lebron. Jordan was so much better on defense and he was better on offense so the comparisons are stupid.

He averaged 20ppg in 2003 but if you convert it to today's fast pace: 25ppg and given that mj will be better in this era in the 90s, i can easily see jordan averaging 27ppg at 40 years old in this era today.
