12:40 Just today, just an hour ago, they rolled out firmware 6.9.3.1, which doubled the outer meter zone. They also promise to improve the stick latency. John Punch is testing it right now. P.S. Bobmez review!
Hey cuda what do you think best controller for like stick drift and no delay I don’t care for paddles and not really on a budget really just for best long lasting controller I can buy and have protection with.
I almost didn't watch this video because of the length, but this may be your best video ever. I think this could be the beginning of a quick boost to 100k subs. #BlackFlag
It's crazy how much I do not like or care about more than half these controllers (bought the GameSir G7 SE thanks to you, it slaps), but your videos are some of the best review videos on the net, lol. Keep being you my guy!
Finally someone that mentions the issues with these controllers 🙏🏻 this is why your the controller king (way better than gamer heaven) the good thing is that flydigi finally fixed the joystick recentering and now my joysticks don't drift everywhere making the controller useless for the past few weeks 😊 I would still take any machenike controller over flydigi anyday. G6 Pro Starflash and G5 Pro v2 ftw!
I know great videos need time to cook, but damn I just found out about your channel and it's already killing md that you're the best reviewer on TH-cam and your videos have about a month between each of them
you are the first person who feels the same as me, I have tried a lot of joysticks, scuff envision, turtle B, apex 4, elite 2, victrix ect.... I always go back to the dualsense edge, it feels more precise, I don't know but it has something different from all the others that makes it feel better.
Razer V3 Tournament has all the same features except for the adjustable sticks. The form factor is a big chunkier but it has a 1000hz polling rate and 1ms response time
Man these videos keep getting better and better every time. Great in depth review man! Also #BlackFlag!!!! It would be so dope to get to play on one of these!
I had looked at so many different third party Controller reviews when trying to pick something out last year. Though you might not have a review for all the ones I was checking out when choosing, I absolutely love all your reviews even with ones I wasn't planning to pick up. I also just like you are one of the few people I've seen that take apart the controllers going over the previous versions and what is improved, seeing what is going on on the inside, and truly go in depth on the controllers you are reviewing.
I saw the Wolverine V3 came out & instantly hoped you’d make a review of it to see if it’s worth it, I’m still enjoying the Wolverine I was put on by you in your videos on it way back when, good to see you back dude!
Update just came out that fixes the outer deadzones, confirmed this myself in gamepad tester, error rate was around 14-15% before update now down to around 8-9%, supposedly improves stick latency as well, played a few games of COD and Apex, I would say it feels slightly better but then again I did not notice much of an issue before so take it with a grain of salt I guess.
Sir, I need your review on the Razer v3 Pro that just dropped a little bit ago. I gotta know what the Controller King says about those sticks before I cop one.
This may be THE ONE. I moved to KBM a few years ago because every pro controller option was several hundred and would last 6 months - year before drift. This looks super promising. Glad this popped up in my recommend. Earned a new sub. Also because I love the look of the #BlackFlag
I've been using the wolverine based on your review and been very happy. We're getting closer to me pulling the trigger on a hall effect controller with every review! Gonna have to see if I can live with the weird rear button placement.
I bought the Vader 4 Pro Black Flag and im loving it so far. Everything about it physically just feels so much better than my Xbox Series X controller, thanks for the great review!
couldn’t disagree with your take on the rear buttons more. I know it has everything to do with your own personal hand shape & size, but I use all 4 buttons. All typically in rapid succession, and it feels better to me than any other rear button layout I’ve used.
Most modern games expect a circle stick, so use circle mode so that your diagonal movement stays 1:1 and you don't experience outer-deadzone shenanigans. However, if you're playing Rocket League or other PS3 games, use Rectangle mode, because the DS3 had rectangle sticks, and PS3 games expected rectangle deadzones. Using circle mode there reduces your movement. In Rocket League for example, you can flip more times in the air with rect. deadzones.
I got the Apex 4 from Amazon and when it went bad they not only gave me a refund like 8 months after having purchased it, but they also accepted my request to have the Apex 4 replaced with a free Vader 4 Pro. Wonderful customer service in my opinion
The Vader 3 pro changed my life, but, you are right with the issues with the brand, personally the buttons in the back have terrible placement and the mobile app is awful, but in general you can't buy a better controller for that price, IMO
been waiting for your video on this one. Great as always. had me learning AND laughing. Hot Take: the Vader 4 Pro is my first FlyDigi Cotroller, and i really like the back buttons. perfect fit for my freakish hands. That being said, i have yet to find a pro controller with back buttons/paddles i actively dislike.
Yo. Could you please do snapback tests on the sticks from now on? Platform fighters are plagued with this problem. Snapback is when the stick returns to neutral after holding a direction and it snaps back into the other direction for a few milliseconds
Been researching some controllers to purchase recently, and this one is at the top of my list. Your review was just in my recommended, and now I'm subbed. #blackflag
damn, am I the only person on the planet that adores this rear button layout? I cant use any other 4 button layout without accidentally pressing something. I think its because of the old xbox 360 scuf controllers with 4 paddles, im just super used to it.
I like them a lot! I think they feel very one-off. I plan to dig into them in a separate video discussing the issues with the bearing structure and the mechanical failures we're seeing. Hey vcuda, been watching for a while. I appreciate ur honesty in the reviews and the humor that comes along with it. Are u going to review the new razor chroma v3 TE ?
I went from the Envision to the Apex 4 to the Vader 4. I honestly like the Vader 4 the best of all of them. More responsive, software is more consistent, and I love the hall effect sticks (Apex and Vader both worked well for me).
As much as I love both of these controllers, 2 hidden gems take the cake. Machenike has been putting in the work the past 6 months, releasing the G6 Pro Starflash and G5 Pro v2 which have the best joysticks I've ever used and are way more accurate than the apex 4 and vader 4 because they both have a true 0 deadzone.
This controller is unreal but is missing 1 thing. The extra bumper/shoulder buttons. So I will be using the Beitong Zues 2 as it is exactly what I want minus the thumb sticks this has . You should def review that controller bro
Bro just tell us what controller is the best and fastest. I feel like every controller you review, it gets shot down😭 is there such thing as a good controller?!
so what controller have you tested has the best response wired or not wired time that has durable click sticks, trigger stops andworks on xbox console under 100 bucks?👑🙏👍 and has good data points stick smoothness
I appreciate your standard of honesty and thoroughness vCuda! Unrivaled breakdown of thumbstick design including bearing structure reliability, adjustable tension weight, inbuilt HE sensors, and "subterranean" anti-friction rings. Yes, you said that right ;) #blackflag
Hey bro, i am looking for a gyro controller particularly for Pc and everything becomes so interwined. Ps5 is out because of stick drift as well as Edge.
Apex 4 is dope and my all time favorite. I just got the vader pro 4, manba one, and wukong bitdo edition but was a little disappointed I didnt research the wukong controller because I wanted to use it with my 8bitdo dock but it doesnt have the little pins to charge. The manba one is better than I thought. Felt like it was gonna feel cheap with musy buttons but its feels great and n ice tactile buttons. Vader pro 4 is the best of the 3 and using more than my apex 4 currently. Nice vid, you make me wanna buy more and more. I have 9 hall effect controllers so far.
Out of all these 3rd party controllers, do any feel as accurate and responsive as the official ones? Battlebeaver controllers are 3x the price of FlyDigi or GameSir. And yet the pros of gaming still use them. You’d think FlyDigi and GameSir would fly off the shelves with Hall Effect and TMR sticks.
Dropping this comment for any FPS gamers who are worried about the back buttons - Gotta say, I think the rear buttons are about as good as it gets. Elite being my original favorite. These are great, I play Apex on controller, PC, have hit pred, these back buttons are VERY good for avoiding inadvertent inputs. I have 0 complaints.
@@jardygiovan yeah. The only people who think they're bad are the people who only use two paddles, IMO, I'm pretty sure my man in this vid is a 2 paddle user based on something he said as well.
I'll take the risk when it comes to the gyro. Some gyro aiming focused channels seems to be happy about the gyro's performance, the bigger problem is that Steam Input doesn't support flydigi's stuff so the options are more limited. And yes I use gyro wired, it doesn't bother me at all. Thanks again for the fantastic review. Also as nice as the Dualsense's sticks feel it doesn't matter when they break every year -_- #Blackflag
This controller is boss, shits on the scuf , elite and turtle beach. I am using it on the Xbox, I just wish someone would make a controller specifically for Xbox that had these features. I use kontrol freeks and love the fine tuning in bit rate/tension. Only used it for a week but so far😊using the wingman xb3 directly plugged in. Hope it keeps working ❤
I was looking around for controllers for my pc recently and thought my options were very expensive until I found your vid. Thanks for the review for what looks like a great controller! #BlackFlag
Great to have you back 🤗 I don’t agree with your statement, the G7 SE/HE is the king for shooters and everything else 💯 Looking forward to you review of the V3 PRO, hopefully Razer will soon add a calibration option to the software because the controller got mad stick drift when set to 0 deadzone 👎🏻 and the V3 PRO is not the one that we should be hyped for, it’s the V3 Tournament Edition, it’s the same as V3 PRO but half the price because of no wireless and no rubber grip, just “rug” plastic grip like on the G7 SE and that’s a lot better it doesn’t get warm like hell when playing, this is also why I prefer my G7 SE over my G7 HE 🙌🏻
That controller felt weird for me in cod, I don’t know how to explain it maybe just it wasn’t for me, I’ve used elites, ds4, and ds5 and preferred those over the se. I’m about to try this though.
I bought the apex 4, worked great until one day it just wouldn’t turn on anymore. Got a new one from the manufacturer and a week later same exact issue. Any idea why that is? Thank you
my first time watching your videos! just got mine the other day and some the issues you talked about could flydigi easily just release a update to fix it? though i havnt had any disconnection issues at all in wired
My kk3max gulikit ring also doesn't touch the edges... When I disassembled the analog module there was a cover... But I didn't see a cover like mine in other people's gulikit review videos... Is this the latest batch?
I've been loving mine. Would kill to have 2 additional bumper buttons like the Razer controllers have and would prefer better back buttons but MY GOD these sticks are a revelation
can you use this controller on the ps4 or ps5 or on the Xbox Series X and it is better than the Asto C40 which still works great for me and you were also happy with it in your review
Something I haven't seen mentioned is the noise of the rumble motors. Even at 1/100 strength they make an annoying whining noise. I'm returning my Vader 4 Pro because of that.
What are your thoughts on the gamesir g7 se today? I just got mine Thursday and I absolutely love it. I've owned many controllers including multiple elite controllers and while elite controllers have that premium feel, the g7 se just feels so much better to me even tho the paddles are in an uncomfortable position, it's something to get used to
Been rocking the Razer wolverines ever since I saw your video years ago. With the new V3 coming out it looks like Im covered for the forseeable future. I cant go back to only 4 extra buttons now. Wish more controllers had 6.
Hello, I have a huge problem that I think should be addressed with this controller. The resistance on the L3/R3 click when using full range of motion has made it un usable. Push all the way in any direction on one of your analog sticks and try to use the button. It becomes SIGNIFICANTLY harder to press down unlike when the stick is in a normal position. When playing FPS games this is an important aspect with movement and completely ruins the experience. Has anyone else experienced this?
Just received my Vader 4 yesterday and can confirm my L3/R3 is much harder to press when the joystick is at the maximum angle. Wonder if it'll get easier with continued use.
@@MaXGTS1 yea was hoping it might get better over time. I have noticed if you adjust to the sticks to minimum resistance it’s slightly easier to click down, but still no where near where it should be

Something I haven't seen mentioned is the noise of the rumble motors. Even at 1/100 strength they make an annoying whining noise. I'm returning my Vader 4 Pro because of that.
So A controller designed for a PC requires a PC for remapping and that is a problem ? , Got it :-)
Great review I loved the teardown of the joysticks. #BlackFlag
Have you had the chance to test out the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro? How would you rate it in comparison to the Vader 4 Pro?
What are your thoughts on the gamesir g7 se today? I just got mine Thursday and I absolutely love it. I've owned many controllers including multiple elite controllers and while elite controllers have that premium feel, the g7 se just feels so much better to me even tho the paddles are in an uncomfortable position, it's something to get used to
I was thinking of getting this but now I'm thinking of getting the wolverine V3 as the wolverine V2 was one of my favourite controllers yet
You like overpriced shit from Razer that much?
#BlackFlag its really difficult to find a good review of obscure controllers, thanks man!
Getting ever closer to 100k subs
Been rocking the Razer wolverines ever since I saw your video years ago. With the new V3 coming out it looks like Im covered for the forseeable future. I cant go back to only 4 extra buttons now. Wish more controllers had 6.
U make reviewing funni plastic with buttons interesting to watch
I have noticed if you adjust to the sticks to minimum resistance it’s slightly easier to click down, but still no where near where it should be
controller is straight fire! loosen those sticks, all the way!
