Thank you !! It took awhile for my 2019 TRD Pro to find the right wiring diagram but I used your wiring diagram for the sensor and the relay. I finally made it to work! Thank you!
Thanks for the diagram. That helps a lot. Sensor is always powered when ignition is off 30 to 87a. When a shock happens it grounds blue wire that triggers the alarm. That looks to alarm box like a door or hood opening. Ignition on relay powers on 85 to 86 coil pins, breaking power to sensor because now voltage is between 30 and 87a this is not hooked up to anything.
Thank you!!!!! It worked for my 2013 civic, took me a little while to figure out but once you start to put things together and test it worked!!! Again thank youuuuuuu!!!!!
This was very helpful. For the 2017 WRX, the door sensor wire is blue and white near the left foot well cover. You can follow the main harness on the driver side to the footwell. There’s 2 identical wires. You’ll have to test which wire is tied to the door sensor. I tapped into the fog light fuse for 12v constant and for the 12v ignition, I tapped into the cigarette lighter fuse.
This is wonderful, however, to make the circuit agree more with the spec of relay, I suggest using (85) as ground and (86) as ignition switch deactivation of the sensor. Best video I found on this hack, thank again!
Very cool video and appreciate that you provided. Just a quick question...assumed you used a relay with the ignition wire to only allow the sensor to be active when ignition is off (car parked), otherwise sensor would be triggering off and on while driving, etc. Please confirm. Thanks
I have a hood switch for alarm on F150, could I not add a shock sensor using a diode on ground so it only goes to switch ? Think I'm stating that right, it's early, Isolating ground while car is on, or just use a toggle switch

Is this going to pulse the door if someone is inside the car with the ignition off causes vibration? I can see the dome light flashing every time someone moves because the sock sensor is on when the ignition is off.
@@TLV2LA I couldn’t get a shock sensor to work right with my remote start, but did install a glass break and tow sensor. Unfortunately it does cause the dome light to come off if there is a noise that triggers that glass break sensor. I don’t see any way around it.
@@TLV2LA no you use a rely and wire it where the sensors have power in the normally closed position. The rely gets energized when the ignition is on which will turn the sensors off. Please look up a wiring diagram on how to do it. You also want to use a diode between the door pin as some car will pass positive voltage when the door is closed which may fry your sensor.
I'm going to install this and a tilt sensor. If I want to put a toggle switch to disable either does it just go inline with the door wire? The sensors could be triggering all they want but will not send a pulse to set off the alarm right?

10thgen Accord does not have door switch module. I believe it is controlled magnetically. You need a test light or multimeter and search for either the hood switch or whatever controls the door trigger wire.
Hi there ... very awesome video but I have a question ... the blue trigger wire is giving a positive or negative output?? And the door switch is that switch it control a dome light?? Thanks
The blue trigger wire is connected to the door switch wire which is negative switch. Ground when the door is open which is tied to the dome light circuit.

I am trying to add this to my nissan altima 2020 but I am having problems like the doors unlocking whenever I stop the car and the alarm led in the dashboard going off all the times that detect a impact so I turn on the car and the shock sensor is still going off
Is there a particular brand to look at when purchasing a shock sensor? or are they all the same? How durable are these shock sensors and the longevity?
From my understanding, the "add a fuse" is only for getting power/voltage. The blue wire is the trigger or signal wire and so it's tapped to door signal wire. So I'm guessing no...unless you have a fuse that would help trigger the alarm system in your car.
Let say the shock sensor gets activated, and the alarm goes on. How long does it say on for? Does it stop after 5-10mins? Or just keeps going and going until you turn it off?
I haven't checked but it's however long the stock security system goes on for. I don't want to piss off my neighbors trying to figure it out. You can check by leaving the driver door window down and lock the vehicle with the remote, toss the key away from the vehicle and reach in and open the car while the car is still armed. The alarm should go on.
Just mount that "big black box" or relay somewhere. Doesn't plug anywhere. The one he has in the video has a tab with a hole. It looks like it's for mounting it via screw.
the stock alarm led indicator is integrated into the gauge cluster. Can't make it brighter or relocate it. You can however, add more led flashing lights if you want.
I have an aftermarket alarm but the guy installed the shock sensor with plastic zip ties so it's basically useless. I only found out it was useless after I got my car towed and it didn't go off until the tow truck went over a speed bump. How would you recommend to attach it to the vehicle? Where did you purchase shock sensor and what is the name of the product? Thank you for your video
Can you do a Video on how to install the Shock Sensor on a Acura Legend 1993? I cut the green wire off that lop around off On a different Video the person said it was not need. You show that it is need for the Shock Sensor to work. I install the Shock Sensor it do not respond back when I hit my Car.
I am trying to add this to my nissan altima 2020 but I am having problems like the doors unlocking whenever I stop the car and the alarm led in the dashboard going off all the times that detect a impact so I turn on the car and the shock sensor is still going off
All this problems that I mentioned above is while I have the car on and driving thanks
Is there a particular brand to look at when purchasing a shock sensor? or are they all the same? How durable are these shock sensors and the longevity?
Instead of using a t tap on the blue wire, can I use add a fuse?
From my understanding, the "add a fuse" is only for getting power/voltage. The blue wire is the trigger or signal wire and so it's tapped to door signal wire. So I'm guessing no...unless you have a fuse that would help trigger the alarm system in your car.
What happened if you lock the door while driving(active alarm)?
How can I find the door switch wire?
What’s the difference between installing just the sensor that you show here. Vs the whole ctp504a unit that comes with the red light ?
Looks to be pretty much the same thing. The ctp504a comes with a red blinking light module though and you get get stickers
DIY: Car Modz ok thanks I ended up getting the ctp504a because it comes with a toggle switch where u can set it to valet mode so it won’t go off
Let say the shock sensor gets activated, and the alarm goes on.
@@DIYCarModz just did a test, and its 2mins on my honda CRV 2020
@@Erickscomp Thank you for the info.
how do you adjust the sensitivity?
А какой толк без gsm?
Where did you plug that big black box I think it’s a relay
Just mount that "big black box" or relay somewhere. Doesn't plug anywhere. The one he has in the video has a tab with a hole. It looks like it's for mounting it via screw.
I was wondering if you can do a relocation factory alarm light. Or make it brighter...
the stock alarm led indicator is integrated into the gauge cluster. Can't make it brighter or relocate it. You can however, add more led flashing lights if you want.
DIY: Car Modz now to locate that wire in the cluster
You don't. You just add a dummy flashing led light that will turn on when the engine is off.
Greatly needed if you live in CA
I have an aftermarket alarm but the guy installed the shock sensor with plastic zip ties so it's basically useless. I only found out it was useless after I got my car towed and it didn't go off until the tow truck went over a speed bump. How would you recommend to attach it to the vehicle? I think I'm going to use a screw and nut.
THAST JUST HOW YOU MOIUNT IT WITH ZIP TIES
