- When the 3-row #HyundaiPalisade arrived in late 2019, it really raised the bar in the midsize family SUB segment. Both it and its sister car, the Kia Telluride became an instant hit and proved that #Hyundai finally understood what families were looking for with the #Palisade. The redesign in this trim actually looks better than the Telluride...crazy cuz the pre refresh telluride with amber lights was the best looking in the segment. If this had ambers it would be even more menacing (JOJO) looking

TY for your reviews. One aspect Id like to hear concerns soft issues like what vehicles are like to drive in traffic; rain; snow etc. Im a [quick] driver & I like to know these, if possible, because I live in an area with a poor car lot representation. For example: C7 vs Mustang 5 vs Camaro

Nice review....I noticed that your drive tests reviews have been focusing a lot on a vehicle's take off power. That's good to know (for towing, lane changing, etc.), but for the non-performance vehicles, the comfort, quietness (road/wind noise), mpg are good things to know. Thanks!
apparently there is only so much power. If you want power folding mirrors get the Telluride. If you want power folding third row seats get the Palisade.!?!?
Calligraphy makes the interior envy of Genesis. We recently got one and it's almost on par with upgraded interior of Genesis.
Def in the market. Its between this and the new Acadia Denali that just came out.
I've seen the rendering of the redesign Palisade. Think Range Rover XL. It's going to be a game changer!

Ok. Wasn’t a fan, but this redesign actually looks good.
for 55k it is missing some features you'd expect like wireless carplay, power folding mirrors, power adjustable steering wheel, and chauffer seats. I would say USB C for the center console but that's just nitpicking at that point. I really do love that Hyundai adds black chrome to their top of the line trims on the palisade, tucson and santa cruz. It makes their vehicles look so good, aggressive and sporty. The white exterior with the blacked out chrome looks amazing, the contrast is just perfect. I really wanna get my hands on a Santa Cruz at some point. My girlfriend and I really love the Palisade. We think it would be an excellent family car even if you have just 1 child, you still have that room for children's friends or even if you plan for a longer family road trip. Love your reviews Sofyan! You always do an excellent job!
Chauffer seats? Whats a 55k vehicle with that? Power mirrors and steering wheel would been nice for the calligraphy model. The telluride does have folding mirrors but all the luxury features in the palisade makes up for that.
@@tmyere. I’ve seen vehicles for cheaper that have chauffeur seats. It’s not like it’s a must, just a nice little convenience for the driver. I personally wouldn’t care if my car had them or not. But like you said, the Calligraphy should definitely have power folding mirrors and most likely should have power steering wheel
It does have a digital mirror which many don't at this price point. Also some don't offer auto dimming why. I have no idea whay chaffeur seats are. Gotta say massage for the driver is very nice and 2 ventilated seats in 1st and second rows as well as heated 1, 2, and 3rd row is awesome. Also, 3 12 volt power adaptors, 1 household, and 7 USB ports is unique. There are 2 USB C adaptors upfront. One in lower console and one in center console storage.
I can’t wait for the redesign next year
It'll actually be released in Korea at the end of this year. Watch for it.

I’m ignoring Hyundai until they allow the bench seat in top trims. They also need wireless CarPlay 🧐. Power folding mirrors is a no brainer on a vehicle this size to be able to put it in the garage. I’d also like to see a hybrid since they can’t figure out how to get adult fuel economy in their otherwise really strong vehicle lineup from their non-hybrid engines. That will also help with a fully loaded vehicle because when all seats are filled you can feel the strain. Lastly, Hyundai please add another 4 inches of seat travel for the front seats. Tall drivers need love too.

My complaint is that you can't get leather with the night edition, just suede.
I still bought one tho.
Very curious of how this holds up. Because suede steering wheels are more than a pain in the butt to maintain let alone kids passengers etc
It is a high end material used in sports cars. Not as prone to staining. Not as hot. Not as cold.
Interesting thing, this vehicle is 96” wide with the mirrors extended and they don’t power fold. My current SUV measures 86”. This would not fit in my garage! I might have considered it otherwise. To me this is better looking than the CX-70.
New Hyundais have this "buttery" power steering. Smooth. Not sloppy. They really got power steering down

You're confusing it with the Telluride
@chaarleess Probably going to be for both since they are essentially the same vehicle. They both had recalls in March of this year because of a wiring harness possibly causing a fire. Also, 20 - 22 both models for another possible fire.
Still confusing with Telluride. No Palisade March recall. A very few from one factory build last fall have a steering coil/engine issue. Nothing like the 550,000 F150s under recall or all the Toyota Highlanders.

Mazda lowered CX-90 prices a while ago, the highest trim CX-90 costs just $50k equipped with 280 hp engine (still much more torque than Palisade)
All CX 90s have the same engine just different tuning on the higher trims

The line between mainstream and luxury vehicles.continues to blur. I had a Lexus GX 470 20 years ago and it had in dash navigation and Mark Levinson audio. That was pretty much it. Now look what you yet 20 years later for the same money as my GX.

I do rideshare I've sold at least 6 to people that have higher end vehicles in a 5month span last year. I don't think it's as close you say bro , four thousand people in 2 years Al are blown away even owners of the telluride it's the small detailed features and the luxurious look. You never speak on the sound it has Dolby Atmos and the bass is windows shaking car rattles like I have ol,school box speakers in the trunk. For 50 grand . No lie people called wife's and husband's demanding trades to there Mercedes Cadillac and especially the over priced Explorer that basic looking ass hell. Preferences yes but Hyundai just haven't marketed like the others 20 thousand more kias sold I wouldn't either.

Well I hate to break this to you but this isnt 1990. This is 2024. Every other brand has far surpassed Toyota and Lexus in all fronts. Both of them are riding on the past. All their newest products start from way behind the already better executed competition.

It’s not typical of anything. So I’ll continue to park my palisade in my garage with no fear while you continue shilling for whatever competitor brand is paying you.

Why does a car need to compete in speed when it offers more than competitors in nearly everything else for a lower price? Seriously. Also, Hyundai is the primary shareholder in Kia. Thus, a Kia is a Hyundai, not the other way around. Educate yourself.
