I just bought a 2024 Palisade Calligraphy yesterday and the car DOES have Bluetooth and wireless Android Auto/Apple Play. I guess they heard your recommendation. I love my new car! I really feel like I am sitting in the lap of luxury. Thanks for the review.
Traded my 2021 Hyundai Palisade Limited for the 2024 Hyundai Palisade Caligraphy in Moonlight Cloud w/Beige and Navy Interior. The New Palisade is SICK!This Caligraphy is the ultimate Luxury Car,Ergo Matic Massaging Drivers Seat was fabulous and 24.9 MPG running 80 MPH from Stuart FL to Delray Beach FL,1 Hour. Its got a ton more than the Limited, got a great deal and another happy Hyundai Owner (I own 3 Hyundais) Moonlight Cloud looks Black at first but is deep blue pearl coat.3rd Person in Florida to own the new 2024 in this Color. The Emerald Green has been discontinued,I ordered this about 2 Months ago.
I have a 2023 Palisade Calligraphy AWD. I’ve had it for a year and I’m very pleased with the vehicle. I wanted a reasonably priced SUV, with as many “bells and whistles” as possible.
I still love the design of Land Rover however after owning it for past 7 years of breakage has been nightmarish for me to consider Dare I said Hyundai….
My wife has a 2023 Green Palisade Calligraphy and it is AWESOME. So many great safety and luxury items on it. She bought it sight unseen as it was coming from Seoul Korea on a ship. She did the complete deal and KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. Nicest vehicle for the price I have ever driven or rode in!!
Funny I had the exact same experience. My wife bought hers over the phone in a 5 minute conversation with the dealership -- purely on word of mouth from other owners she knows. Great car!
@@csmac3144a you made it easy on the dealer and they should have rewarded you with a discount off of MSRP! Otherwise, don't buy. Prices will come down if we stop paying MSRP or higher.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about. When they came out with the XRT last year, I was like I love the blacked out look, but I always prefer fully loaded, and I didn't understand why Hyundai would make you choose one or the other. I think they'll sell a lot of the Calligraphy Night Edition. Good job, Hyundai! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
50k for all that luxury!!! That's awesome! You know that I am a GM loyalist but I have to say 130k for a Cadillac Escalade with no massaging seats, no ventilated seats in the rear and all the other luxury you get from this car, it should be a no brainer. The Hyundai Palisade offers more luxurious features than a 130k Cadillac Escalade 😮 for a much better price ? Something to 🤔 think about 🤔💭 Great review guys! Thanks for sharing 👍 😃
Hyundai granted my wish of adding the XRT treatment to the top dog Calligraphy! I'm not a fan of a ton of chrome and that "grille shield" is perhaps the most obnoxious piece of the design. Very polarizing to me. I think that is what made the Telluride SX Prestige so hot right out of the gate was the black trim offering. H/K do indeed listen to their customers. First they heard the gripes of the missing amber DRLs on the Telluride, and the made them return for 24. Now Hyundai is listening. Still unbelievable that this is still the carmaker that everyone was laughing at just 15 years ago. Now they're cranking out some of the most competitive vehicles in their respective classes. And huge respect to them for keeping the naturally-aspirated V6 for the engine. My only gripes remain the absence of wireless AA/AC, the incandescent tag and reverse lights(can change that all out for about $20), and no power-folding mirrors(cars have gotten so wide that pulling into a garage is made way easier with them/and I would gladly give up the power folding 3rd row for them). Whats that I hear, Hardesty Brothers: A Hyundai Palisade vs. Mazda CX-90 comparison coming up???😉🙂
I agree with everything you said. On a good note, the new Santa Fe will have wireless Apple and Android auto. So, hopefully this is a sign that the next Palisade will have the same
H/K/G can't add AA & AC to the current models with the TomTom navigations due to their contract with said GPS company. The Kona and Santa Fe contracts are up, so they'll be able to get AA & AC added to the TomTom navigation along with OTA updates.
This has been my favorite in the class since 2020. 2023 refresh brought was even more giving with this palisade making it even more luxurious than ever. These 2024 changes, though are minor kind of make a difference with this palisade. I havent heard to much news on the palisade so i was quite surprised to see they added a night addition to. Though 53 grand minus destination… 😬 its a yes, no maybe so for me. Considering i could do that myself. Ive seen people black out the chrome pieces before.
That second row setup is a dealbreaker for our needs. Why can't Hyundai give both a three place second row (preferably with a Honda style removable middle seat) and a top trim? Surely there must be other people who need to either carry 8 people or go with 5 people and max cargo space.
That's what I listed as one of my very few gripes with it. Vehicles have gotten so wide, yet parking spaces and garages haven't. Pwr folding mirrors are a big deal if you're used to having them. I'd GLADLY give up the pwr-folding 3rd row for them.
It is an upgrade to G90, especially 17 model year. Keep in mind that Genesis is Hyundai underneath that pretty dress and with calligraphy you get that luxury without paying the extra money
Just got one 24 calligraphy and looked into other options like Grand Highlander Hybrid Max Platinum, Honda Pilot Elite, Atlas SEL R Premium and Telluride SX Prestige. Grand Highlander even in Platinum trim the interior felt cheap and too old for me for 60 grand, same as the Pilot with lots of road noise. Atlas was great but that engine is i was not comfortable with. Telluride was nice, especially the new dash but Calligraphy Palisade felt just right. I also took the suv on the highway up to 80 mph to see the horror stories about wind and road noise. I even lowered the window down and back up but nothing. There was acceptable amount of wind and road noise nothing out of ordinary, in fact it felt so quiet and possibly the quietest suv i ever owned. Love it so far.
Nope! Almost bought the 23 last year, but not having wireless CarPlay made it out of the question. I was surprised when the salesman told me that. It felt like it had literally everything and when it didn’t have that, I went on to something else.
They should offer power fold mirrors like the Telluride. That’s one of the things about my wife’s 2021 Palisade Limited I felt should’ve had on there. My 2020 Explorer Platinum has them. The Palisade overall is an excellent vehicle. I like it better than the Genesis G80 and would buy it again
No need. You need those mirrors to prevent door dings from vehicles parking next to you. It gives a safety distance to other vehicles parking next to you. If you have to, you can use the remote to move the vehicle out and in. Its awesome, love my 24 calligraphy.
My FWD Limited is very Handsome. Lincoln SUV owners have asked me if they might look at it for a minute. At least two couples said that they had an adult child who loved their Hyundai. I'm a retired single guy. I traded in my '22 Tucson Hybrid AWD for a gas V6 FWD Palisade Limited. Never needed AWD. This roaring V6 engine and scratching out front tires is Fun. Sport mode!
I don't understand why they haven't upgraded to the wireless Android Auto is this class of car. I have a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL, and it has the wireless Android Auto. I love the new Palisades, but it baffles me about the wireless feature.
Personally, I'd have preferred if Hyundai struck a balance between the full on XRT black and the Calligraphy chrome for a charcoal grey finish. That will separate it from the 'lower' trim but still retain some of the premium look. And I'm not a fan of black wheels. It looks like there's a big hole in the wheel well.
You guys are awesome! Thank you soooo much for your detailed information! I'm glad I stumbled across your channel you really put me at ease about my purchase because today I'm about to go trade in my 2023 calligraphy palisade for a new 2024 calligraphy palisade night edition❤... I was definitely on the fence about it but the night edition seemed to have more of what I was looking for exterior wise! Keep up the good work guys!🎉
I haven’t seen one review, for the previous year as well, where they show the “Cube” instrument cluster when highlighting the different effects for it. It’s like a hidden feature lol. It’s my favorite cluster theme and the one I always have active. Anyway, great review, as always.
I would like to see a comparison of 2024 Palisade Calligraphy vs 2024 VW Atlas SEL Premium R-Line. What what i be loosing / gaining going from Palisade to Atlas
Oh wow so great 👍 and very beautiful 😍❤️ and the engine 🚂🚒 very strong and powerful for the off 🛣️ road 💪🛣️ or high way and very good design with the new 🆕 technology for the new generation hument and very easy to drive and comfortable ❤.
Great video. Nice car. I read that the Night Edition is delayed because whoever made the seats - which are suede - calibrated them for being leather, and it says that the passenger airbags might not go off because the car doesn't know somebody is in the seat. They calibrated it for leather, apparently, so they have to fix that. It looks good though.
For the Calligraphy? It's been available with a beige and navy-accented interior since it first launched. For a good look at what that looks like, check out our video from last year: th-cam.com/video/sJ66ejuNIYk/w-d-xo.html thanks!
This is actually a beautiful SUV, I woulf have wish that the MPH was alot better or a Hyrbid version. Good job as always. Would you reccomend a Outlander Plug In?
Finally...the South Koreans made the tach needle move the correct way. Clockwise instead of counter clockwise. Hate that on my wife's 22 Calligraphy!!!
Are you sure about the wired apple car play and android auto? My 2022 XRT Santa Fe has wireless, I’d be really surprised if they didn’t include that on the top end palasade
For some reason, all the models with the 12.3" infotainment screen and Navigation are wired. I've heard different reasons for it, but It may have something to do with the contract with the maker of the Navigation system. This is apparently true on Hyundai's, Kia's and Genesis'. It's been rumored that there will be a online update to correct it once the contract period is up, but I've seen absolutely nothing from Hyundai to verify this.
I just bought this car. Same model and trim but in black exterior and navy beige interior. I can't for the life of me figure out how your daylight running lights waterfall.
There are two lower models with bench seats in the second row. It's standard on the base "SE" and available on the "SEL" with the Premium Package. That model has a lot of the high end features with simulated leather seats. It's probably the best value, but may be hard to find.
Having seriously considered this vehicle (Hyundai Calligraphy), I was dissuaded once I read owner forums complaining about problems with this SUV once it was 'broken in.' Anything new is impressive. The problem lies in having all the features and 'luxuries' work years after the new car smell ends, and after the warranty expires. The Toyota Grand Highlander appears to be a competitive alternative; and better choice when factoring in repair and parts availability that Hyundai sorely lacks.
Most auto owners forums are the same. I've never actually talked to a Palisade owner that didn't just love their vehicles. Most of them have been trouble free. I bought a 2023 Calligraphy almost a year ago and went to the dealership once, for my quick and free oil change and tire rotation. I've driven Honda's since 1984 and if you listen to those forums, Honda's are just terrible. Toyota doesn't fare much better.
I believe models sold overseas do have power folding mirrors. Unfortunately the ones sold in the USA don’t. Even domestic manufacturers in the USA that make cars in China offer features on their products there that they don’t offer here. Unfortunate for us but great for everyone else
Wow still no wireless CarPlay? And they haven’t changed the dash at all from the 2023. I thought they would go with the seamless infotainment dash. Disappointing.
The Palisade is larger than I prefer to own plus I am not a fan of the Push Button Shifter. To note the 2024 Santa Fe has a MAJOR upgrade change and looking forward to that review later this year and how it compares to its big brother. It is shown initially to have a GREAT column Shifter which would be easier to use!!! It would also be good to know if they have started to include WIRELESS Apple Car Play or Not in that update. Thanks you for your thorough reviews.
Yes. It’s absolutely 💯 worth it Still the best near or even luxury suv Grand highlander and TX cannot compete with this. They’ve both been objectively wiped out. The telluride palisade are still tops. Unless youre bmw or Porsche or Mercedes you simply cannot beat this
@@almassengale the horsepower shouldn’t matter since the gh isn’t that fast for its power and torque The space isn’t worlds better than the competition. It’s not like the gh has interior space that comes from another dimension like a Cadillac Escalade ESV
The Honda Pilot is also a good alternative for the Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade for those that wants the torque vectoring AWD and more off-road looks. Other than that, these three are solid options.
Also, the hybrid GH is probably the only reason if you need tons of space to carry but don’t want to pay so much for gas. However, the engine can be loud as you drive it. So, the hybrid (mainly the fuel efficient) is probably the only reason to get the GH.
I just purchased the 2024 Calligraphy AWD Night Edition. I bought it site unseen as the dealership was 3 hours from me. The seats are NOT what I expected. The 2023 had "leather" seats and door trim like you show in your video. This car has suede seats and door with leather trim. When I go to the Hyundai USA website and build the 2024 Calligraphy. There is NO option for cloth, suede, leather. It is just choose the interior color. So, is there really an option like you have in your video or is the interior only one option like on the Hyundai website. I am not 100% happy with what I just purchased as far as interior because it is too soft/suede for a seat. Not sure what the difference is, either the video or Hyundai's website. Would love to know.
Right now Hyundai's website doesn't have the Calligraphy Night Edition available to build. They have also not yet provided media with 100% complete information on this trim. But if that's what you have, then they have surprisingly decided to change the seat design for the Night Edition
It's my understanding that all Night Editions come with that suede like material. It's suppose to be a high end material. Some of the more expensive SUVs have a similar material and I believe it has the same pattern as the regular Calligraphy. If Hyundai came out with this model so quickly, they must listen to their customers. Maybe they will bring the Nappa Leather back as an option on the Night Edition.

Nice, very nice SUV!!My only gripe is Hyundai should've made dual exhaust system in the rear to make it more sportier looking!
The interior is extremely luxurious but I just can’t get past the frontend. It’s just WAY to much
Agreed. This is probably why they came out with the Night Edition.

“Suck that heat out of your crack “😂😂😂😂 13:52
I believe models sold overseas do have power folding mirrors. Unfortunately the ones sold in the USA don’t. Even domestic manufacturers in the USA that make cars in China offer features on their products there that they don’t offer here. Unfortunate for us but great for everyone else
Can you make a comparison between land cruiser and armada
Why no dual pipes
They need to make it a n line addition it’s coming soon thats what I’m waiting for more horse power and upgrades 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Wow still no wireless CarPlay? And they haven’t changed the dash at all from the 2023. I thought they would go with the seamless infotainment dash. Disappointing.
Wow, your standards need to be low to consider this Hyundai “Luxury”. Having gadgets doesn’t make it luxurious.
Wonder why they haven't done a hybrid version it would sell like hot cakes
It couldn't be done with the current platform, but it's coming on the next gen in 2025.
Does it have turbo?
No
Too much front grille……like Lexus. Black out the smaller lower portion…….the rest of it is enough 🙂
But the palisade looks better than the Lexus TX or any Lexus for that matter (except the lc500)
@naveenthemachine you literally troll everywhere 🙄
Wait no wireless apple car play? Geez that’s bad. So are the paddle shifters on the wheel. Not a fan.
Yeah, I buy a new Hyundai Palisade one day.
The upcoming Santa Fe has wireless Apple and Android auto
Everything the new Santa Fe have will be on the next gen Palisade.
The 2024 Santa Fe will end up costing more than the Palisade next year.
@@ahf5471 lets hope not. But maybe with the goofy dealers upcharging.
@@pleasantcrew That's not new. My 2022 Santa Fe SEL has wireless Apple and Android Auto.
I’ll buy it if launched in Pakistan.
Yes. It’s absolutely 💯 worth it
Still the best near or even luxury suv
Grand highlander and TX cannot compete with this. They’ve both been objectively wiped out. The telluride palisade are still tops. Unless youre bmw or Porsche or Mercedes you simply cannot beat this
Wipes the floor unless fuel economy, maximum cargo space, or available horsepower matter.
@@almassengale the horsepower shouldn’t matter since the gh isn’t that fast for its power and torque
The space isn’t worlds better than the competition.
@@joecrash1232 the only truly worthy options are the pilot cx90 telluride palisade. Everything else is just awful
Also, the hybrid GH is probably the only reason if you need tons of space to carry but don’t want to pay so much for gas. However, the engine can be loud as you drive it. So, the hybrid (mainly the fuel efficient) is probably the only reason to get the GH.
Handsome looking suv
Nice review guys. Please review the 2024 Hyundai sonata N
Thanks! We will when they become available later this fall 👍
No folding mirrors and still the wired Apple Car Play. I think I’ll wait.
This is what I have. It seems this is the only option. At least that is what the dealer told me.
And also the calligraphy night Edition cuz I don't like Crohn's
you forgot to test out the massage chair. We needs to know these things
During our week long test we had plenty of time to test them out and they work very nicely 👍
