    My wife and I have owned 12 Hyundai vehicles. We bought our 1st Hyundai in 2004, and have NEVER had ANY issues with any of the 12 we have owned. I remember in 2008 my wife was hell bent on having a PT Cruiser. Chrysler is a very well known brand, and has been making vehicles for decades, right? It was declared a lemon in less than 3000 miles!!! Right back to Hyundai she went running!! We have only bought Hyundai products since then! We have owned everything from an Accent to a Palisade, they have all been EXCELLENT vehicles! As for me and my house, we will always buy Hyundai! You guys keep doing exactly what you’re doing, as it truly helps to know before ya go to buy!!!

      Likewise... But I just mush Genesis, Hyundai, & Kia all together. Lol. Between my wife and I, we've had a 2014 Sorento, 2019 Sorento, 2020 Sedona, and a 2022 Tucson. Literally not even one issue with any of them. I'm sold.

    • @PokeDadandPokeSon
      @PokeDadandPokeSon 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Well, the Veloster she traded in for her Santa Cruz had 106,000 miles on it and ran like new when it was traded. Oh, and the Santa Fe I had was traded in with over 80,000 miles on it. So yes I know EXACTLY how well they last. In fact my daughter is still driving the Tucson we gave her and it has almost 300,000 miles on it, and not one single major repair! Tires, oil changes, and I’ve replaced the battery once, and the brakes twice. I must say that’s pretty damn good!!

    • @kellybailey9063
      @kellybailey9063 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      It sounds like you’ve traded them in every two years on average. Not many cars would have a problem in that time. I’d like to hear from folks who’ve owned these for 10 plus years.

    • @PokeDadandPokeSon
      @PokeDadandPokeSon 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@kellybailey9063 how is that? Had the Veloster for over 5 years, Santa Fe for almost 4 years. You must be assuming that we only owned them one or two at a time, in which you’d be wrong. Have owned up to 4 of them at one time! Have never traded in a single one without driving it for at least 4 years. Trading in your car, for most people, isn’t about the car having issues. Trades are made for UPGRADE reasons! It’s literally that simple. I’ve had my current Palisade for 2 years now, and won’t be trading until 2026, after the new body redesign.

    The Palisade Calligraphy looks sooo good without the bling grille! It looks very properly upmarket. The Telluride refresh still hasn't won me over, but it is still a good looking CUV.
    I have to commend H/K for not following the trend of raising prices...just to raise prices. That is despite these two being some of the most sought-after vehicles on sale of the last 2-3years.

    I have a 2021 Palisade Limited and I can say that this SUV does not disappoint. We do love the extra storage underneath the console as well as the large cup holder storage that can snugly fit precisely a Starbucks 4 drink holder. The only thing I think it needs is the folding mirror functions. I don't know why only the Middle East models have this feature and the US versions do not. Thinking of trading in to a newer Palisade Limited once they have the folding mirror function available.

      You do need the mirrors not to fold to prevent dents from cars parking next to you. My advice is never fold mirrors they are your safety barrier. Now regarding the convenience features, non has electric telescoping steering wheel either with memory function also the climate does not adjust according to the outside temps once you are in the car and start it. How do i know? Just bought a 24 calligraphy 2 weeks ago and test drove the Telluride as well.

    I was pretty much decided on getting the Palisade since for more power stuff (3rd row, ergo seat, and remote parking) for less money and better mark up situation (more dealers willing to go MSRP on those), until Sept last year the KIA dealer was $4k under MSRP for the Telluride SX-P X-PRO so i have no choice but bought the Telluride. Either one is fine with me it's just coming down to the price

    “Not quite as premium” for the palisade seating material is very subjective (opinion not a fact). I would let people decide for themself…my wife preferred the feel and look of the micro suede over leather in the standard calligraphy so I went with the night edition. After having leather in so many cars being different was a selling point. Overall both are great cars, great review as well!

    I think you should have compared the 2024 Telluride X-Line and not the X-Pro vs. the Calligraphy edition of the Palisade. The X-Line is the more prestigious package, including larger & classier rims. I have own both models. The 2024 Telluride also blacked out all the grey bumper pieces and would have better complimented the Palisade Night Edition.

    Both of you left out a couple of reasons why Hyundai takes the win, for the fact that it gives us the smart parking feature, which Kia does not provide that.
    Now for the 3rd row seat, between both SUV, the more practical advantage would be the fact that Hyundai provides that auto folding and unfolding feature so you don't have to struggle to reach the straps to pull the seats back up. Additionally the 3rd row seat allows you to recline the seats back a bit more for a more comfortable ride, another feature that Kia lacks.
    The front driver seat also includes side adjusting sections on the power seat buttons, its that dial for the lumbar adjustment. this does in-fact, make a huge difference in comfort.
    Those were 4 more points I noticed that were a huge win for Hyundai to break away from Kia's Telluride and dust it.
    p.s. The Calligraphy 2WD has sport mode for a much faster throttle response rather than keeping it in "Comfort" mode (slower throttle response).
    Also, there are two top trims for Hyundai, the Calligraphy and Calligraphy night edition. The big difference is the interior seating which you mentioned to be "lower quality" for the seats being suede in the night edition, while the Calligraphy can also have the option for Nappa Leather. So therefore a point would be added to Hyundai and not just Kia.
