I bought an Omega Seamaster and wear it every day, just because I like it. The future value is irrelevant because I will wear it for life and pass it on when I'm gone. Rolex is so overhyped and overpriced.

Exactly I purchase every watch with intention to wear and enjoy, not as investment,,so my Rolex Submariner gets scratched on clasp big deal, I was wearing Omega Speedmaster Snoopy last week and just walked in watch store in Mall Sales person recognize the watch I was wearing and he couldn’t believe that I was actually wearing it He says he never seen one in wild and my answer was “ what is the point of spending money on one if you never gonna wear one and enjoy “

The prices haven’t fallen, not the new AD retail ones.
GREEDY flippers are taking the hit, thankfully, hopefully it leaves them massively out of pocket and taking a bath
Long May it continue, as they have ruined he watch market with greed

All very good but you try getting a new Rolex at retail from an AD. I went into Bucherer Paris recently. They were friendly and seemed pleased to see me but having told them what I wanted and even given them a letter about me, my motivation for wanting one and my contact details I haven't heard a thing since.

"...entry level brands like Cartier and Omega..." ?? As compared to Rolex? I'd have to group those three together.

Artificial scarcity caused by ADs who were passing on watches to their friends and families in the last 3 years, to resell on the used market at enormous premiums, while making genuine buyers go through “lists”. Well, you can fool only so many people for so long.

if you adjust prices for inflation they have been dropping for quite some time now. Which is great!

well, i'm not buying a rolex until they resolve their 32xx low amplitude problem.

Indeed. 30 bucks n we get a watch that is even more accurate... Than a Chronometer. 😁

You ain’t lying. I have a G-SHOCK, Rolex submariner and breitling superocean heritage. G shock is the best watch I own in terms of durability and accuracy. It ain’t even close. I’ve had my breitling which I rarely wear stripped tye crown and it’s only 3 years old in for service for nearly 3 months now. My G-SHOCK I wear everyday for 4 years. Perfect time, date is always correct and never broke. Lol
