    In this video, we are testing out the iPad Mini 6 video editing capabilities when it comes to editing 4K and 5K footage in LumaFusion. The iPad Mini 6 comes with a 5 core GPU and the new A15 Bionic chip so it is more than capable of editing demanding footage. The size makes it perfect for video editing on the go when traveling or even just a relaxing edit on the patio or couch. Scrubbing through 5K footage is buttery smooth as is playback. Render speeds are almost as fast when compared to the latest iPad Pro.

    I just got myself an acasis hub, Id highly recommend looking into one. So essentially it has the SD card reader 2 x USB A port and USBC port , hdmi out, ethernet, 3.5mm jack, but you install an M2 drive straight into it, so you have it all in one. One major flaw though that everyone complains is when you have it plugged in, it will choose the hub as the audio source, so you need to have airpods or the such, it wont let you use hte ipad speakers while this is plugged in, highly recommend (no affiliation, just a fan)

    I am interested in editing with Lumafusion on a iPad Mini with 64 GB of memory. I have talked to different experts who disagree if you can do this with a 64 GB iPad Mini, or if you need to get the 256 GB version of the iPad Mini. One expert said the Lumafusion program needs a lot of memory on the main drive to process. Of course we would being connection to a fast SSD externally to store the project files and renders. The video above that you posted was very helpful, thanks.

    • @AirPhotography
      @AirPhotography  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Well as long as you don’t fill the internal storage up store all your clips on an external drive a 64 GB version would work OK

    The USB C port on the new iPad Mini 6 does make it a better device for editing large video files in Lumafusion since you can work off a external hard drive. Great demo of how it works, and I'm not surprised that the new A15 chip is almost as fast as the M1. Thanks for sharing.

But by the time you buy 256gb mini6, case, and keyboard, perhaps I might as well buy apple or windows laptop and continue using 2019 9.7" A10 based iPad with drone..

      I’m definitely in the same boat as you. Went to the Apple Store and loved the portability of the Mini, but I loved the screen real estate of the Air…And then I picked up both…The Air wasn’t that heavy but heavy enough where I knew it wouldn’t be as portable. Plus, I feel the Magic Keyboard was a necessity with the Air and I personally can’t justify that extra cost.
