I just got myself an acasis hub, Id highly recommend looking into one. So essentially it has the SD card reader 2 x USB A port and USBC port , hdmi out, ethernet, 3.5mm jack, but you install an M2 drive straight into it, so you have it all in one. One major flaw though that everyone complains is when you have it plugged in, it will choose the hub as the audio source, so you need to have airpods or the such, it wont let you use hte ipad speakers while this is plugged in, highly recommend (no affiliation, just a fan)

The USB C port on the new iPad Mini 6 does make it a better device for editing large video files in Lumafusion since you can work off a external hard drive. Great demo of how it works, and I'm not surprised that the new A15 chip is almost as fast as the M1. Thanks for sharing.

    • @aditya_gupta

Hi, I watched most of your LumaFusion videos and this one too! Very clear explanations. Just curious what your workflow is to transfer videos shot on iPhone to be ready to edit on your iPad? Airdrop has been unreliable and slow for me. Do you have a walk through on iPhone to iPad to LumaFusion? Thanks!

    • @thequestofodssey

if you're using iCloud, then you don't need to transfer the vids from your iphone since both devices are already in sync.

@@thequestofodssey Two issues with relying on iCloud: (1) it’s unreliable and slow since I have to wait for iCloud to figure things out, (2) I’m reliant on internet, which is not always available when travelling. Raw video sizes are also getting larger which makes iCloud even slower..

I'm tempted to upgrade my 2018 iPad figuring mini6 could allow me to not need a laptop (would use mini6 for drone usage & still and video editing, sometimes on external display). But by the time you buy 256gb mini6, case, and keyboard, perhaps I might as well buy apple or windows laptop and continue using 2019 9.7" A10 based iPad with drone..

I am interested in editing with Lumafusion on a iPad Mini with 64 GB of memory. I have talked to different experts who disagree if you can do this with a 64 GB iPad Mini, or if you need to get the 256 GB version of the iPad Mini. One expert said the Lumafusion program needs a lot of memory on the main drive to process. Of course we would being connection to a fast SSD externally to store the project files and renders. The video above that you posted was very helpful, thanks.

THX, I enjoyed it. I currently use a samsung s10 to edit with kinemaster. I can't decide whether to buy a used m1 mac mini, macbook air, or an ipad that would have that touch screen I am used to. Any suggestions? sean from Naples, Italy

Can you use the files directly from ssd or do you have to copy then to internal storage?

In your opinion, can Ipad 9 also handle 4k video editing in Luma Fusion?

Thank you for the video. I am new to editing and looking to edit youth baseball games. Plan on using 1080 @ 60 fpm. The length of the games will be 90 minutes or so. Can the mini handle this using LumaFusion? Approximately how large of video file can I use on the mini? 30gb or 60gb? more? Thanks
