I really like what the last woman said. Its not just in thailand but in other countries as well. It just got really klischee in TH. My bf is also a lot older than me but I'm half thai half german and dont really look like the average "luk krueng". I grew up under other "norms" in germany and I'm quite independent. But I still can speak and read thai and I love my cultural heritage. But on the other hand I can't cope with how some thai, or asian people in general, think about certain things. I'm taking the seat on the 3rd chair tho, like I love thailand but not everything and I love germany but not everything

Im full catholic. They expect me to marry a french native or any white but my bf is my age also french from taiwanese parents immigrant.
@@Chawaniii oh thank you but I learned most thai on my own tbh. My mum talked to me in thai until I was abt 3 or 4 yrs old. My father then prohibited her doing that. So I had the basics, but as I got older I took interest in learning about thailand and went to thai lessons with my own money, I studied on my own a lot too. And I'm still but with help. I want to bond with my thai family on my own but I dont wanna depend only on my mum. My mum speaks german, but not fluently, so she cant really explain grammatics. But maybe your parents were trying to make something out of you, they can not be? I dont wanna talk too far tho, I'm not a therapist haha
