  • In this video I did a small comparison with a USB buck converter which supports a good number of quick charge protocols to a regular 5 volt buck converter module and the results are pretty amazing! The quick charge feature is definitely beneficial when charging modern devices like phones and tablets with upto 24 Watts of output power! I would say it is worth having in your inventory.

    THE BATTERY DROPS DOWN TO 6V when YOU PLUG IN YOUR PHONE THAT IS WHY THE NON Quick CHARGE BUCK CONVERTER GIVES SUCH A LOW CURRENT!

    How much input current can these modules withstand? Can I connect a 12v 7ah battery directly to these?

    • @UtsavShah_25
      @UtsavShah_25  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are rated for 24watts.You can connect a 12V battery directly without problem. The current draw depends upon the device you want to charge, though ideally the input current should not be more than 2 amps for a 12V input

    • @UtsavShah_25
      @UtsavShah_25  ปีที่แล้ว

      What I understand is this buck converter does support a few fast charging protocols but it may not support all of them because fast charging protocols differ from brand to brand such that only their provided proprietary charger works in fast mode

    Your video is no doubt informative. But remove and stop using eardeafening background music. Good intelligent engineers do no need music support. As fast charging requires more than 5 volts,You have nowhere mentioned whether fast charging damages mobile and/or battery or not.

    • @UtsavShah_25
      @UtsavShah_25  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello thanks for your feedback. Will take this into consideration.
      Well, fast charging does not effect the battery or the phone because devices which have fast charge feature also have inbuilt control circuit to prevent overcharging to dangerous voltage levels. The control IC on the buck converter can actually recognise the device and set the optimal charging voltage
