Not spoilers since it's LN content. The thing about concubines being "inferior" is mostly a thing in the Millis religion & continent where Aisha was living, most of the world don't care. A wife is a wife.
The way they resolved this issue in a mature manner is proof of the fact that the writer KNOW S. The writer knows how to write a good story, how to avoid clichés, how to make things actually more pleasant to watch, as opposed to cringeworthy - unlike how countless anime do it. I love the writer, and the studio for animating this masterpiece. If this misunderstanding happened in literally any other anime, the MC would have gotten in trouble, would have been reprimanded, punished, etc. But nope. Everyone in this story actually has a working functional BRAIN, and utilises COMMON SENSE in order to resolve these issues in the most direct and conflict-free way.
If you haven't read the source material, you have NO IDEA how insanely good this story is going to get! If you're already impressed by this....oh boy. Get ready! 😁

@actionvids35 I remember after watching season 1 I got really invested in the story and couldn't wait for season 2 so I started reading the novel. It's still the best fantasy story I've ever seen by far.
yeah, the first time i read the beastgirls menace i already braced myself for annoying missunderstanding trope but no. The princess befitting to her title and being a student council actually have a good functioning brain.
People need to understand that Mushoku Tensei is *NOT* a shounen series, or a series that came from Shonen Jump. This anime is not all about action, it's all about conflict, trials and tribulation from all those flawed characters to take time to develop.
Yes, I understand, almost everyone loves action and doesn't understand the beautiful work of art in storytelling 🤦♂️.
Who knew marriage life would mature Rudy this much? From putting patsu on his head to returning a sack of them, while feeling ashamed he was caught in his underlings mess.
The School arc matured him a lot. He did learn some valuable lessons on his journey from he end from Season 1 until he arrived at the School.
The interaction with new friends and his interactions with Fitts made him really mature. (No, i don't mean the sex) He was able to overcome Eris to some degree and accepted that there are new people who are important to him in his life now.
No. Ruddy began to really mature in that northern town where he met Sara. Both Ruddy and Slyphie have grown up even before they met again
Rifujin makes some very interesting, but controverial setups with his characters in the beginning, but he does handle them in a VERY intelligent way. The people, who STILL are sh*tting on MT will have a very rude awakening, if they don't finally start admitting, that they were wrong about:
- MT being a generic isekai
- MT being a power fantasy
- MT just being pdf-file bait
- ....you know all the stuff they've been claiming. They'll soon look like the IDIOTS they are. 😈

I really got emotional after seeing Ruijerd. I literally cried when he left Rudeus in S1. I missed him so much. Glad to know that he is doing okay now.
That’s how amazing the character writing in this show is. I felt the same after not seeing for such a long time.
He will be gone for long time. Propably wont be seeing him until season 4 or 5 by my estimation. But it was quite nice to see him again after such a long time.

Ruijerd is such a calming presence in the show. Stomping conflicts before they can happen by just giving some words of advice. Guy is too powerful of a therapist for the series to keep around for long, hence why they have to keep him traveling to let drama/conflict happen.
The reason i love Mushoku is how the world and story builds but also due so well written characters, eagerly waiting for next episode . PS- The dynamics of Norn and Rudeus relationship is one my fav i enjoyed reading it. And with Aisha she literally was taught be Lillia from the moment she was born that her only purpose is to serve Rudeus despite being so talented like him.
Norm is one of my favorite character in the story because she has the same development her brother had specially in his past life
If Silphiette still got her green hair, I know someone will have been super happy about it.
This is how you write a truly captivating story. I mean this episode felt like 5 mins to me and it always sucks that I have to wait another week for such greatness. Indeed the characters are what bring this world to life and this is something you rarely get to see in anime today❤
For me linia & pursena are my favorite characters from season 2 but gosh dang it those 2 sometimes I swear…..
As for the sisters, it’s nice to see what life with them is like and I honestly can’t wait to see more
considering the fact that Rudy literally save both Aisha and her mother from possible death and suffering is easy to see why Aisha thinks so highly of Rudy, while Norn only saw the perverted and woman swamping and Rudy did beat the shit of his dad , though they did make up in the end, Norn hasn't seen the more mature side of Rudy that other characters have up to this point. I'm looking forward to next weeks episode, judging by the title I'm assuming Rudy's going to attempt to cheer up Norn so that she knows that she's not alone like he helped many other characters in his journey so far. Always painful waiting an entire week for the next episode. hahahaha
Think about it - Norn is effectively in danger of becoming who Rudeus was before he reincarnated (sans the kiddie porn crap). Rudy sees it and it's why he's so worried for her.
My guess with the next episode title is, that Rudeus will figure it out that Norn is acting like he did in his previous live and will try to stop her from becoming a shut in. And that will probably encounter its own obstacles making his feelings more known to both his sisters.
Ruijerd GIGACHAD! i miss him already. What i love about this episode besides the Norn, and Aisha relationship and how they behave wich is great, I'ts that we can see more of how Rudy has mature since all this years, he is trying his best to be a respectfull adult and trying to be the best husband and brother possible.
I just love this series so much!
next weeks episode the beast girls will redeem themselves in the eyes of the boss! Looking forward to it. Poor Norn though. She is feeling kinda lost. And in true Greyrat tradition. Fails to communicate her feelings. Damn I love this series so much. Glad to see it in anime format.
I'm a bit concerned that Norn is behaving a bit like old school Rudeus, but hopefully she'll be able to start making her life soon. I am still really curious as to the past between Ruijerd and Badi Gadi, glad nothing went down.
God I love Mushoku Tensei. Every character has their own feelings, struggles and flaws. And they all have their own character development.
1:51 Aisha complaining about Norn's request being accepted stems from the condition that Aisha had to ace the exam to get her reward of being a maid. Norn was barely average and she "got rewarded" with living at the dorms. She, at surface level, interprets Rudy's actions as favoritism in spite of her efforts to ace the test.
I didn't like how Aisha reacted there.

God I don’t understand how people only like action… action… action. Episodes like this are gold and the pacing makes it so much better.
Mind you, Norn is the author's faourite character. She's a normal, completely average girl who had to grow up among geniuses.
Such a great anime I’m glad they are taking there time with this and it was great seeing ruidgerd again hopefully we will see best girl roxy soon

I'm keeping my mouth shut because I think next episode is Norn POV. So they will explain why norn is acting/disobidient.
What this author does is they show us how charcaters are behaving first and then their POV. Which makes character super likeable.
I wonder what Norn thinks when seeing Rudy hanging out with the Student Council President and also Pursena and Linia lol. Two completely different types of people. I hope that she starts to realize she can depend on the people who respect Rudy as well as Sylphie. Because right now it feels like she was ripped away from the two people she felt "safe" with and now she's alone.
This episode was very nice. Very tense moment for the siblings in the family honestly. I had my fair share of them. I am shocked to see how smart Aisha is. Perfect 100 is just wow to me especially at that age. Anyways. But I hope they get through this together. Nothing can solved unless both sides are willing to communicate which I hope it happens. Looking forward to next episode.
Ruijerd my man mvp saving Rudeus relationship with eris because yes she’s a terrible communicator lol so it probably was a misunderstanding “we the audience knows but now he’s thinking to now maybe she meant something else “ so giving her a chance to talk when they meet again one is good
I like Norn and will posibly love her after her character is more developed, hopfully. But i just luaghed when she said that rudy is untrustworthy, because he now has a different girl than he had when they first met. Like she knows that aisha is from a different Mother, though they probably never told Norn that Paul cheated and she still is a child, so she probably never questioned it. That still made me laugh and made me question her a little bit.
Also Aisha can probably learn more about magic from rudy, etiquett she probably learned from her Mother or slyphie can help. So yeah the school has nothing left to teach her.

Aisha needs to slow her roll and learn to be humble before she gets humbled. Norn seems like she's going to surprise us all with her development. this was a great episode.
You say that everyone in the show has flaws, and I would have agreed. I felt the same thing while watching the first season and then reading the light novels. But that changed when I read (and watched in the first cour of this season) the character of Suzanne. I know she's a small side character, but in the LN, even Timothy and Mimir had character flaws, but Suzanne was always supportive, kind and ready to give someone a push when necessary. There was the time when she got mad at Rudy for venturing into the blizzard alone to try to rescue Sarah, but I don't consider being worried about what could have happened to be a character flaw. That's just human.
So yeah. Everybody else in the story has flaws, but Suzanne is flawless.
100% --- If anything, a detail that probably is skipped over is I sort of blame Paul for the situation with Norn. She essentially had two bad introductions which the first one was completely on Paul. (Not that I'm hating on Paul or anything because he's ALSO human and messed up.) In the next episode after he sobered up, he was smart enough to go try and make amends with Rudy but completely forgot to try and do damage control on what he did to Norn. Just like he blamed Rudeus for not thinking in the moment he was teleported, Paul didn't think of Norn being messed up when he messed up Rudeus.
I don't understand why most people don't get that the reason aisha was mad was becuase she had to get perfect grades to get what she wanted whike not did way worse but still gotvwhat she wanted.
Kinda sad that the anime toned it down a bit, but they had very different experiences growing up, or rather Were always treated differently, it's been like that since they could walk. I haven't Seen Aisha wear anything that Isn't a maid outfit ever since she was 3years old, that fact alone should make her standing clear.
It's different because she was asking for something that will effect her badly whereas norn asked for something very normal that many other students may have asked or just had been given. But since Aisha requested it they still gave her a chance to get what she wanted. In fact the way she worded her words made it seem like norn was being given everything as if she wasn't trying her best.
It seems like this week and next episode will be more family relationship issues. Episodes like that make me rewatch Coco and sing "remember me."
It’s must be tough for Rudy how to be older brother to take care of his younger sisters especially Norn who can’t forgive him for hitting their dad hopefully they can get along.

Norn still shows resentment toward rudy even after 2 years of not seeing him, and still does not trust Rudy even thought theyre siblings. Its because any child who sees their parent beaten by someone else in the family of course they'll hate them, it will be hard wired in their head knowing that person hurt my parent so i wont trust them. This is good writing for this story because it will take time to heal that part of the wound which Rudy left on Norn to gain that trust back
It's more than two years, he's in the academy for three years already. Not to mention the distance between Milis continent and the place where Eris was. Probably around 5 years since then?

@@mustofaakmal7493 he hasn't been in the university that long. Sylphie kept her secret for around 8 months. And they have been together for like a month at this point if I'm not mistaken. took 2 weeks to renovate the house. I am fairly sure he is still 16 years old. He is 18 when he meets paul.

Tbh, Aisha's frustrations were the ones I didn't understand. I'm sure she could have went to school and lived in the dorms like Norne, but she wanted to stay home and be a maid, so they both got what they wanted. I get the insecurities, but she's been so logical that I can't see why she felt slighted there. Other than that, great episode as always. I hope I can grow up to be like Ruijerd!

Aisha had to work hard and succeeded to get what she want. Norn failed but she still gets what she wants despite that. Norn is given more leeway than Aisha because norn is the real daughter and Aisha is just the step daughter.

Also, I originally didn't realize how mutual the inferiority complex was. She's just as insecure about being a mistress's child as Norne is about being a normy brain.

Whereas rudy had to consider norn's condition(her well being), those requests are two different things, I would have done the same thing if I was rudy.

I don't understand the people that say that Season 2 of Mushoku Tensei is Boring, I mean sure Season 2 is SLOWER compared to the first season but it isn't BORING and that's the key difference because of this series' wonderful sense of pacing, it never feels like things are moving too fast or too slow, everything feels just right.
Also, I wonder if what Ruijerd said about Eris foreshadows how Rudeus is gonna act when he see her again, instead of lashing out against her, he'll just talk things through with each other.
The slower it gets, the harder it will be when the man god or someone else will mess up his life again. Because it will happen, right? He's crossed paths with too many powerful beings to be allowed a quiet life.

Aisha despite her own confidence in her skills and granted she’s a very skilled child it’s sad that she has those insecurities of being look as the mistress’ child by other adults; and Norn not only being forced to interact with the brother she never met but being apparently below average in comparison to her genius siblings. The Greyrat sisters must be protected.

Eh its the king of isekaii plot maybe. I wouldn't say characterization just yet. Yeah Mushoku is pretty good but the dialogue is just standard anime stuff. The dialogue lacks Re Zero's poetic brilliance.
Rudeus doesnt deserve this kind of hatred! Norn is making it hard for herself, also Paul punched rudeus first. I get it that she has problems but she has a very shallow view on people.

he's not, he is Rudy's age as his mind is exactly the age of Rudy's body. he has memories of his old life but he mentally is where Rudy is at. that's the whole point of reincarnation
@@AHBrandonReviews his brain might be rudy's age (basicly fully developed), but his mind and his mental capacity is that of ~50yo. He might have not be very developed emotionaly in his previous life but even at that he is closer to that 50 then to "Rudy''s" sweet sixteen.
One could argue that by being reincarnated as infant he lost some of his mental capacity - due to transfer to not fully developed brain - but nothing in the story points to that as he since the episode one presents full consiousness of his previous life, all his memories and all his knowladge.
