The facial expression of Rudy when he saw the dagger Nanahoshi had with her was so perfect. He immediatly remembered the beginning of season 2 when he wanted to kill himself with a very similar looking dagger. After seeing her break down and her empty face, he knew right away what Nanahoshi was up to.
Nanahoshi’s failure and breakdown is an important moment for her character. She used to be a loner who shuns people (other than Rudy) and do research on her own. Through this setback she finds herself working with others and succeeding in the end. Nanahoshi making genuine connections with people is like her own Turning Point. It changes the trajectory of her character story. Nanahoshi looks so happy at the celebration party and even ends up singing for the group. That becomes the Special ED for this episode and the song in question is Tsubasa by Under Graph, which was used in one of the Idolmaster anime/game. That bit of info also lets you date where Nanahoshi belongs in real life, either 2004 if she likes Under Graph, or 2015 if she likes Idolmaster. A side note, at the beginning of the episode, during Paul’s letter where he explained he entrusted his daughters to Rujerd, Roxy looks nervous throughout the scene. Remember she is deathly afraid of the Superd. Attention to little details like this put Cour 2 way above Cour 1. I am very happy with the new director.
Oh ya. I thought Roxy is just being scared or worried about the kids moving or her going to another dangerous land. I figured it was ruijerd especially because I know that marking on the hand but I didnt connect that with roxys fear. (Looks like shes getting less scared even if a bit)
Man I felt so sad/bad for Nanahoshi. I am just glad she got help to get her back on track. Rudy is a good man. Now she got one step down. Hope she progress further to get home soon. And it’s nice to see the little sisters. And glad to see Ruijerd. Looking forward to the next episode.
The anime really did fair to Nanahoshi’s breakdown, and also love the special ED of her covering the song Tsubasa by UNDER GRAPH, the same song she was humming on episode 9 of the season when she was properly introduced.
The reason i love Mushoko is for its characters, the show can be slow and concentrate on every character and i love that , yup i love action sequences but i am just so invested in this world i just love watching each second of it. That's why i decided to read the light novel as i want to know more about these characters , what are they thinking and more
I got u dude! I have never loved the mayority of characters from a show since mushoku, and when s2 firt cour enden i sarted reading LN up to volume 9, god i love this story so much
YEAAAAHH!! THE BALD DEMON GOAT IS BACK!! But also man,I feel bad for Nanahoshi…she must feel so isolated in this world and every time she got a sliver of hope to go back reality would crash down on her again. So happy they got the circle to work,It’s just for a bottle for now,but that’s still a step on the right direction.
That really was such an authentic and genuine portrayal of despair and DEFEAT!! And to later see Nanahoshi **smiling and dancing** ..... I was genuinely OVERJOYED at the sight of it!! 🥲🥲
Funny thing about Nanahoshi's remark that magic circles are like circuit boards, she doesn't realize how correct she is. I know that modern microchip construction can involve layers of circuits and daughterboards are also a thing. Had she studied computer engineering, built custom PCs, or repaired computers she might have hit upon going 3D by herself.
This is only the beginning of this cour. You are NOT prepared for what happens in the final 3 episodes. Trust me, regardless of what you think/reasonably infer is going to happen, YOU ARE NOT prepared! MT is the best isekai of ALL times! There is a reason why I keep saying this.
What I like about this anime is that we see not only the MC grow up, but other characters as well. This is what I call the pinnacle of human interactions.
Some LN Extra Details ( The ED of this episode is actually a real song "Tsubasa by Under Graph" sang by Nanahoshi in karaoke style during their celebration
Man i feel bad about mask girl when she fail at another summoning circle I get frustration that all she want to go back home but I glad Rudy decided to help and his friends to finish her work .
well the anime basicallly skipped it but in the teleportation incident there were 5 different colored rings that formed before they were yeeted across the world. So in order to copy that making layered summoning circles made a lot of sense. And pretty big miss step from Nanahoshi.
Poor Nanahoshi i just wanted to give her a hug, glad they all help her at the end. Also i just notice the song they use for the ending it's the same nanahoshi was humming in episode 9 when shylphie mentioned her to rudeus at the library
Nanahoshi is the exact opposite of Rudy. Rud has left a life he hated and is living a new life, and from birth, not from the age of 10 and is becoming more and more a great man. On the other hand, Nanahoshi doesn't even age! She has been living with the same body since she was summoned. Even if she wanted, it's even harder for her to start anew. The feeling of being stuck in the wrong place must be unbearable.
BRO YES i have a watch a few reaction and your the first to make the connection between nanahoshi concealing a dagger probably planning to end her life and the time when rudy felt so defeated and hopeless that he tried to take his own life Imo when Sylvie gives rudy the dagger he has a mini flash back to when someone stopped him from making that mistake, so in a way he wanted to do the same for nanahoshi that was done for him in his time of need This show JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER EVERY EPISODE

I mean Roxys facial expression should have gave it away immediately. watching Cliff and nanohoshi arguing was a nice touch. this episode felt like it was only 5 minutes.
It'll be interesting to see Rudeus acting like a big brother and how the siblings will interact with one another. I'm glad to see Ruijerd again, considering how much he wishes to protect children it is very fitting of him to guard the sisters. Seeing Nanahoshi that broken because she thought she had no way to return home was so sad, if left alone she definitely was going to take her life so I'm glad Rudeus was still close enough to hear her mental breakdown and took care of her. It was nice to see them work all together to help her with her research and I'm glad they reaped success from it.
@@iraklimgeladze5223 I would say never aging is cool but If I cant use magic I better be at an age where I can easily build my strength. Else I would be too small and weak or too old and slow.

@reignmans That's way too specific of a defect, and I think it would have been said in the show or even a cut content. Even then she could still check. Like yes there isn't technology like xrays or ultra sounds, but she can still use magic, just not use it on her own. And she was with one of the strongest characters for a time, pretty sure he would be able to tell or at least get help to investigate.
@reignmans The only reason it would not be cool ( and in a logical way) is simply because of the immortality part. Not seeing your loved ones in the old world and losing everyone you know and could love in the new world.
I think my favorite part of the breakdown of Miss Seven Stars, Nanahoshi, has to be how raw and uncomfortable that scene made me. I wanted to turn away, I didn’t want to see her suffer, I emphasized greatly with seeing her breakdown and it was so uncomfortable. And I loved it. It invoked these intimate emotions that only the viewer would ever know, as everyone feels very differently upon seeing such a scene. The discomfort was amazing, and I’m glad that I didn’t want to see more of that, and it popped up again with the knife because the hopelessness in both scenes were so palpable and relatable. The many times I’ve been discomforted by Jobless Reincarnation makes it one of the many reasons I absolutely love this series. It’s so visceral, so intense, you know deep down that this is not a thing that you should go through. Not everyone will find it relatable, whether they’re fortunate or not for that is a matter of debate. Scenes like these should make you feel these kinds of emotions that you may feel, as an emotional breakdown is very much a real thing that one may experience in their life. Either theirselves or dealing with another, I think the emotions you may feel now may be a small portion of how you feel in that moment in your life, should it ever come. I hope that whoever may be reading this, that you have overcame a tribulation like a breakdown or will be able to overcome one in the future.
There is a scene while Paul is writing the letter and Roxy is seen in the back, and she is scared. I already know who Paul is referring as to guide his siblings; Roxy is really scared of Ruijerd kind.
The episode was so well written and animated it actually made me worried for nanahoshi. The despair and sadness actually felt heavy, like it will just take one small further push for her to do something bad.
Nanahoshi seriously wants to go home and after what she had a mental breakdown from her failed circles. I understand why she's been isekaid to an unknown world. finally a character who wants to go home.
The incident that lead to Nanahoshi being summoned to that world is also devastating man, it's such a cycle of pain and suffering for all these people :(
It's one of the most, I can't say relatable in the sense no one could honestly relate to her exact cercumstances, but relateable in the levels of despair that followed all the hard work just to be met by complete failure that's painfully relateable with the scene, Rudy's honestly felt a little extreme in comparison, like I can't relate with his cercumstances either, but, it was VERY "in the heat of the moment", I know there are those that can relate to rash decisions being made in bad situations, but it just felt way too quick to me, he was getting over the Eris curve ball just to be hit with that, but honestly how fast was their "relationship" moving? Seemed too fast, meaing it was more about sexual attraction than "love", something I think Rudy could say he felt about Eris after their journey, so why was it so impactful when she threw back the dagger? Yes, paintful, ontop of his realization he has ED at (in comparison to his new body) such a very young age, but, to just "oh, fuck it, Sara doesn't like me right now, I'mma kill myself lol" just felt off, he was at a MUCH lower point in his original life and he never offed himself, so why instantly try and do that now that he's had his second chance for what is, for the most part, obviously traumatizing things happened, but, over all, a much better life than his previous one?
In the LN that Nanahoshi scene is so much more visceral. She screams, starts clawing her face, then starts hitting her face on the wall and finally goes into that almost dead like state. truly heart wrenching. Nanahoshi is there for about 6 years.... If we take notice she is literally the other side of the coin of previous Rudeus, the antithesis. She has connections to her original world. She has loved ones there, she was loved there, she has dreams and plans for her life. When she got teleported in the 6 sided world she became a recluse, she is avoiding contact, she eats trash, she even wears a mask to avoid connection. She became what Rudeus was in his previous life. Rudeus had no connections in his previous life, he was a recluse(due to being abused + trauma but... still) and when he died and got reincarnated in the six sided world he started anew, has loved ones, he is truly loved and admired by alot of people, has aspirations, dreams and plans. When Rudeus Zanoba and Julie are in their way to get Nanahoshi to Rudeus mansion, they completely gloss over/skip the small inner dialogue that Rudeus has about Nanahoshi and especially Julie and the reasons why he picked her up. The direction in season 2(both cours) is taking a lot of shortcuts and skipping some very integral character traits. I dont care about the animation drop in quality as much as direction taking a lot of bad shortcuts that would amount in a couple of minutes tops (which they decided to give to the opening and ending that werent there in the first season to begin with).
One of my favorite things I've been seeing in alot of fantasy/isekai anime lately is how they treat their magic system like it's a science. I can't get enough of that stuff.
Its the same with Subaru from Re zero,He was about run away and give up but Rem give one of the best confision, and in the season 2 like the echidna trial stuff he saw hes parents even thought its fake hes still greatfull and he know that he cant go back to hes past world,so he accepts it and says goodbye
Loved the epiosde, I also realy like seeing how rudy isn´t just the allknowing protagnist that pulls everything out of his ass, but how they worked to together to solve it. Sure that the Golem, that convienently was his house, is the missing clue is lucky, but a little bit of luck is realistic.
to be fair, this used to be more common. It was actually pretty irritating for a lot of readers. No matter the circumstances, no matter how bad their old life was, it was always about going back. It was hard to enjoy being there when the mc is constantly talking about how they don't want to be there. That's also why it works here. It's not the mc so it's not a constant disregard of the 'now' in favor of the 'past' being shown to the reader who's looking for a fantasy.
Some people got the easy way out. The dude from the familiar of zero figured at the end of season 4 to world jump. And the girl from saving 80000 gold coins to retire can world jump on command.
As i say if someone asks me if MT is worth watching or reading, "Go into it for flawed characters, character development, world building and a good story, also if you question certain things, think of the time and setting, they are normal. "
Attention: You can keep doing that Old trend of Isekai were the MC suddenly doesn't care BUT, sometimes give them thoughts or memories of the past, like something in the Isekai reminds them of their past lives or something
I have seen a couple series where the character does want to go home with that being the goal. I mean, I'm pretty sure that's Digimon to a T. Could say Sonic X is also a good example.
Isekai have been so samey in recent years that I love it when it does something different like this, showing the dichotemy with the MC Rudeus as the cliché shut-in loner who loves his new life, while you also having side character Nanahoshi who desperately wants to go home in the same anime. Rudy even said to himself after Nanahoshi's breakdown that he could have ended up like her if things were different for him, showing that the idea of going back to his old world can get to him even while living his best life.
Indeed, what really lacks in isekai genre is the relationship the MC has with his or her previous world. I mean, every MC accepts the new world eventually, like "starting a new life", mostly because they had no family or a shitty life. But what if the MC has parents they want to see again ? Heck, what if they have young children they were providing for ? What if they were living their best life, with friends, a good job, things they were passionate about and suddenly all of that is ripped away and they find the new world dull. And wouldn't it be interresting to see the point of view of their friends and family who stayed in the previous world, trying hard to find the missing person and to understand what the heck happened ? I'd love to see something going down this way.
And some fans called out of her being "weak" comparing her with other characters from shows they watched and how weak she is compared to them. Some asked how can people feel sorry for her as she will cause another teleportation disaster on earth. Never imagine putting themselves in her shoes.
Kinda like season 1 of sao. Alot of people adapted to the new world, some went crazy and rip to the one guy that found out his team got killed on the one mission he didn't join in then later he just jumped off a cliff and ended it all .
Don't forget this. She said that she appeared after the mana disaster happened and that was when Rudy was 10. Fast forward, Rudy is now 16 or 17 meaning that she has been in this world for 6+ years and she just witnessed someone from her own world got married recently too and with how she talked about having someone she loved. When you looked at her face on this experiment, she looked happy and hopeful even that she didn't wear a mask. So yeah. Oh by the way, even though I'm a WN/LN reader, I could tell who it was from lookong at Roxy's expression, now that's detailed!
The whole "you watch/play this, so you want to do things like in this" never made sense to me. People playing FIFA soccer or NFL games on playstation dont tackle people in the streets, nor do they play the sports irl in general either 😂
Ruijerd is back, yes...! Who could do a better job at escorts Rudeus' lil sis than him 😌 Nanahoshi's mental breakdown already hit me hard when I read the manga adaption.... 😢 But the EGG FIRM staff and her VA make it even more better and painful 😭 All my thanks to their amazing job! Fortunately that our boy Rudy, Cliff, Zanoba & the others were there to help her resolve the magic circle' problems! Another reason to add in my list of why I absolutely love Mushoku Tensei 😤😁
Why was Got so popular? Well for a certain amount of time it portrayed what a real persons reaction would be. Same with MT. I guess the biggest difference would be that no one in GoT was Isekaied. Rudius was born into the world and at least had a bit of understanding, Nanahoshi was just dropped there.
there's manwha that depicts the horror of being a hero, he was summoned to another world to be a hero and after defeating the demon lord he was able to return to only find his mom die while handing out flyers of him missing and his dad commited suicide because of what happened and his uncle blame him because his sister died manwha is super dark
yeah I agree with the ED part cause people really laugh out about it but in reality, it's actually one of the worst mental illness out there and its hard especially to rudeus who just got his first taste of experience and then on the next girl he couldn't do it and was ridiculed, that must've hurt like A LOT as a man.
Anyone else kinda bummed that Rudy's character seems to be sticking with that little kid voice / voice actress despite him being old enough at this point to start sounding like his inner voice? It's also why prefer I Goku's English voice.
Moushoku Tensei basically a double face lore. Most of the other Anime plot is just too scripted and organize which is all of the happening is basically in front of us viewer and we know what gonna happened next. Mushoku Tensei striking our blindspots which is they intentionally hidden to us then reveal it with out without then you gonna thought to your self, "why did I not notice this.". But this one is kinda heavy to digest unlike the past Frieren which is the entire story is denouement.
@@user-zl1vf4me1p season one cut a lot of content from the light novels. In order to dive deeper into the scenes and not rush them. Eris joining the sword god temple, meeting Gal Farion, Having Nina Farion try to kidnap Rudius, Rudius meeting his aunt back in millis, Travelling through the dragon country after leaving Millis. etc. It was all done so they wouldn't have to rush from one scene to next without stopping to breathe. Which is far more intellectual way of doing adaption. SO no they didin't just do what they had to do. And calling it a good choise is laugable at best.
Can't adapt all the material from the sources material sadly. That's the fate of adaptation (even the best often have necessary changes done to fit it within the timeframe). Either way, the anime is also just to promote the Light Novels though so its a win win.
I think most people are going to be stuck on the fact that it was a female that mental breakdown like even I am at fault for not batting an eye at Rudy’s breakdown because it’s so common and when it does happen it’s always a dude this is the first time I’ve seen a female have a breakdown in anime 9/10times any female is just fan service to the point where I start judging the covers and going one dude and rest are girl it’s a boring herrem again and I have been wrong a few time but for the most part that and I finde it sad. Little off topic I think my point is how female characters are almost always give power for no work at all so I love that she is struggling it make the episode the best that I’ve seen in a long time

That scream was chilling huge respect to the VA who did this ❤
Her VA also had a similar screaming breakdown in Lycoris Recoil.
It's not the mc so it's not a constant disregard of the 'now' in favor of the 'past' being shown to the reader who's looking for a fantasy.
hearing her song at the end is really comforting
Some people got the easy way out. The dude from the familiar of zero figured at the end of season 4 to world jump. And the girl from saving 80000 gold coins to retire can world jump on command.
Norn the best character and most real in the entire LN is here
Ruijerd was hinted at in the scene due to the fear Roxy was showing in the gathering
Please Try: As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World

As i say if someone asks me if MT is worth watching or reading, "Go into it for flawed characters, character development, world building and a good story, also if you question certain things, think of the time and setting, they are normal. "
Attention: You can keep doing that Old trend of Isekai were the MC suddenly doesn't care
BUT, sometimes give them thoughts or memories of the past, like something in the Isekai reminds them of their past lives or something
Nanahoshi was doing her best depressed Pim imitation this episode.
The manga is the manga but... "Can't go home" is very visceral
The ONE THING I'm looking forward to this season and many MT fans also praying is they won't fucked up Norms perspective
I'd love to see something going down this way.
it was the best episode untill now, i always was interrested for her character.
Nanahoshi far from hom
Nanahoshi no way home
I hope it ends with nanahoshi home coming
Don't forget this. She said that she appeared after the mana disaster happened and that was when Rudy was 10. Fast forward, Rudy is now 16 or 17 meaning that she has been in this world for 6+ years and she just witnessed someone from her own world got married recently too and with how she talked about having someone she loved. When you looked at her face on this experiment, she looked happy and hopeful even that she didn't wear a mask. So yeah. Oh by the way, even though I'm a WN/LN reader, I could tell who it was from lookong at Roxy's expression, now that's detailed!
the triple bros huddle and give hope to nanahoshi.
Nanahoshi is just like Rudy from previous world, a shutin where Rudy understand her circumstances.
The whole "you watch/play this, so you want to do things like in this" never made sense to me. People playing FIFA soccer or NFL games on playstation dont tackle people in the streets, nor do they play the sports irl in general either 😂
nanahoshi's breakdown reminded me of some scenes in re:zero tbh
Ruijerd is back, yes...! Who could do a better job at escorts Rudeus' lil sis than him 😌
Nanahoshi's mental breakdown already hit me hard when I read the manga adaption.... 😢
But the EGG FIRM staff and her VA make it even more better and painful 😭
All my thanks to their amazing job!
Rudius was born into the world and at least had a bit of understanding, Nanahoshi was just dropped there.
there's manwha that depicts the horror of being a hero, he was summoned to another world to be a hero and after defeating the demon lord he was able to return to only find his mom die while handing out flyers of him missing and his dad commited suicide because of what happened and his uncle blame him because his sister died manwha is super dark
what's the manhwa if I may ask? the plot seems interesting
See the title i thought rudy go to gym 😂😂😂
yeah I agree with the ED part cause people really laugh out about it but in reality, it's actually one of the worst mental illness out there and its hard especially to rudeus who just got his first taste of experience and then on the next girl he couldn't do it and was ridiculed, that must've hurt like A LOT as a man.
Is it just me or does anyone else have a sense of dread that something bad is about to happen?😬
Nanahoshi wants to meet shinohara
Thats why its the best isekai i have ever watched, no other isekai do something like this
I wouldn’t say the most realistic.. his reaction to the red head ghosting him was legit
MT is the only anime with many mixed genre
Anyone else kinda bummed that Rudy's character seems to be sticking with that little kid voice / voice actress despite him being old enough at this point to start sounding like his inner voice? It's also why prefer I Goku's English voice.
Finally someone that wants to return to Earth.
On who was escorting rudy sisters i was betting on roxy
Moushoku Tensei basically a double face lore. Most of the other Anime plot is just too scripted and organize which is all of the happening is basically in front of us viewer and we know what gonna happened next. Mushoku Tensei striking our blindspots which is they intentionally hidden to us then reveal it with out without then you gonna thought to your self, "why did I not notice this.". But this one is kinda heavy to digest unlike the past Frieren which is the entire story is denouement.
Man doesn't know that Norn is the best character in Mushoku Tensei yet.
Honestly it's worse he nanahoshi because she can't use magic. She got isekaid and can't rely do anything. That sucks balls
in my opinion they squeezed two episodes into one with really little screen time for each scene they were depicting. Not a fan.
They gotta do what they gotta do to get all withing 12 eps. It was good and a good choice this time, the episode flowed seamless
Either way, the anime is also just to promote the Light Novels though so its a win win.
the show builts on it self like why is he helping her and all this. she wants to go home and all that
tf are you even saying
I think most people are going to be stuck on the fact that it was a female that mental breakdown like even I am at fault for not batting an eye at Rudy’s breakdown because it’s so common and when it does happen it’s always a dude this is the first time I’ve seen a female have a breakdown in anime 9/10times any female is just fan service to the point where I start judging the covers and going one dude and rest are girl it’s a boring herrem again and I have been wrong a few time but for the most part that and I finde it sad.
Little off topic I think my point is how female characters are almost always give power for no work at all so I love that she is struggling it make the episode the best that I’ve seen in a long time
arifureta is one great isekai where the mc wants to go home with interesting story. not recommending the anime tho, but the LN is just GOOD
Depression is real no matter what anime you watch.
"Mushoku Tensei" is the greatest anime I've ever experienced.
Is Rudeus a good person? No. Him being a bad person is the point.
I have read light novel , you guys are not ready , for what is coming in coming up seasons
is this the first time we saw her face or I'm i tripping
You tripping bro, the episode when nanahoshi talked japanese was the first one
Hate watching is a real thing. I love this show though
I can't beleive i'm saying this but i'm actually starting to like Nanahoshi.
Spoiler Warning!!!!
Wonder if Orsted had a breakdown.
Mushoku Tensei haters are weird af just ignore all of them and enjoy the show.
Turning into a hentai no more enjoyable
You have no idea what that word means
