Yeah, I'm of the same opinion. SP for the expansion when shooting larger targets. Nice shooting, Michigan!

I had a .22 cal break action pellet rifle that put out about the same velocity as a .22lr. That was great for small game.

The fmj is used against 150-200lbs two legged "predators" that have a unique ability to keep up blood pressure after being hit. Works through speed and tumbling. Where I come from it's almost herecy to just mention it used for anything bigger than a roedeer (50lbs). To me(!) It seems somewhat contradicting advocating an expanding bullet on a bigger animal where depth is vital/lethal, and effect can be achieved via a tumbling through n through shot. But I know I go against the norm here.
Thx for your vid and your efforts and choice of nice place to film.
Btw, do you have fish in the stream? Seems like heaven

The stream is the north end of Michigan's Rouge River, a blue ribbon trout stream. It's a very nice area to fish for brown trout and rainbows. A lot of beaver around too.

Idk if I would wanna use that on small game personally. I mean it all depends on the animal.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Maybe coyote's and hogs, not rabbits and squirrels. Just a bit much I'd say. Lol

File the tip off of FMJ.
    Works great.

I’d rather use a 22lr or a pellet gun for rabbits and squirrels for the simple noise and cost factor.

Id rather save money and do it with one rifle
