    Hi everyone! I know these videos have taken a little longer to come out so thank you for waiting. This ended up being my longest video ever so if you want to skip through please at least make sure you see the clip of it rolling at 54:05. I'm really proud of how this effect came out and this was basically 3 weeks of work for only a few seconds of video 😂
    Based on your feedback I decided to leave everything in and give you the option to watch as much as you want. I know some of you just like having something to help you fall asleep to haha.

      I love these long episodes! And your ride looks sick! The deep dishes up fron and the aero's out back look amazing together!
      EDIT: Hmmm... maybe you're right and the aero's should go in the front... I don't know... both look cool!

    • @TofuAutoWorks
      @TofuAutoWorks  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@akumabito2008 Cheers man. Function wise you'll always see turbo fans on the front because those are the brakes that are doing the most work and so you want to keep them cool.
      But that would probably be the only functional consideration I've made on this whole car so I'm tempted to do the opposite and keep them on the rear just to mess with people. Like my air vent that leads straight into a filler cap but it's fine because the cap is fake and there's nothing behind it.

    • @nintenjo64
      @nintenjo64 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great work as ever!! Keep it up.. I think it looks a bit too low on the rears compared to the front, I’d raise it about 20mm would help balance the look and also help those rear wheels fit within the arches.. but that’s just my opinion 😅

    Maybe instead of the squishy you use, a spike roller might work a little better to prevent all those small carbon parts to move or slide away on such a smooth surface as glass. At the end it worked out still so nice work!

    • @TofuAutoWorks
      @TofuAutoWorks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'll have to buy a bristle roller and give this a go. I actually used one of my regular barrel rollers on it that I use for fiberglass as well but I think the main issue was I went too wet with the epoxy and so the layer of carbon was just floating above it instead of sticking to the pieces underneath.

    awesome results, dude! I just have one thing to comment: we do a lot of carbon work for our universities formula student team and have found that electric power tools and carbon dust are not friends at all (coal brush damage, sparks etc.). If you intend to do more carbon in the future maybe consider buying an air powered tool set.

    • @TofuAutoWorks
      @TofuAutoWorks  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks mate. And yeah I did sort of know that the dust from carbon can be pretty bad but if I'm honest, I don't really think I'll be doing much carbon work. The price point for carbon parts are just so much higher and that's not really what I'm about. I prefer showing people how to do things that are cheap and easy to get into so I'll generally just stick with fiberglass and polyester resin.

    I saw that when spreading the epoxy with the scraper, the carbon got dragged out unevenly. You should try a roller instead, as it is less likely to disturb the pattern:)

    Why didnt you make the wheel decals the same greenish-yellow color as the sides and rear? It makes it look disjointed.samesame

    I think next time, you should put the peel-ply on first, then use a roller on it. I was kind of yelling at the TV, asking why, lol 😂
