i’m gen Z and i hate how some people say “oh i was born in the wrong generation i wish i grew up in the 80s” because they think life was just mom jeans and turtle necks. bad things happened back then, bad things are happening now. but we are SO lucky to live in a time where life expectancy is high, technology is aiding a better standard of life, and more energy efficient machines are being made. appreciate your time because you don’t get very long.
The white ppl at my school say that and I'm just like"oh no, I don't wish it was the 80s again cause with apartheid and shit my ass would be restricted asf" but they won't get it cause nothing would really change for them.
Life expectancy now is the same as it was in the 80s. Life is the same always. You aren’t special and neither were they. There’s still a hell of a lot of evil in the world and there is no end it seems
Alessandra Santamaría the millennials in your country till the soil, mine coal from open cast, fish for crocodile with only snake for bait. Not interesting enough for TH-cam. thank you for playing.
One thing that grinds my gears is how over half of jobs today require some sort of certification or degree that you have to pay for on your own. half or less of buisnesses only require a high school diploma and offer on the job training. That number was much higher when my dad was 18! Most places only needed a high school diploma and they offered on the job training with other sweet benefits, like a competitive high wage, oppurtunities to get promotions, dental and health coverage, 401(k)s... everything you would need to succeed and thrive in life! Now companies are less and less investing in their employees, and expecting employees to invest in them, to shell out tens of thousands of dollars just to qualify for the job! Let alone the fact that many other people all want the same type job, so you could potentially not even get the job of your dreams! Wasting all those tens of thousands of dollars, even for just an associates degree! That's not how I'm gonna roll. Luckily since I live in michigan alot of buisnesses are old school due to trades being still popular due to Ford and steelmills, along with construction. I'm happy those jobs still exist. ☺
Bi11y What really gets me is the Boomers that act like the country hasn’t changed since they were our age, and they didn’t get where they are through hard work alone, but in large part via programs they subsequently gutted. The Boomers are the real entitled snowflakes. They just weren’t coddled by parents pants shittingly terrified of statistically irrelevant tragedies by 24/7/365 cable news.
Look at Angie's List. You can do most of those jobs with no certifications. Boomers were successful because they were goal driven, not because of any special programs. They were also not enslaved to electronic gadgets so were free to focus on getting things done.
@@architecture.w boomers were successful in handing the successes of FDR and the WWII generation to billionaires. Other than that, they did Jack squat aside from polluting and refusing to adapt. Learn your history
Bi11y You might stand a better chance of employment if you knew how to spell *either* "business" *or* "opportunity". Just pick one, we're not *too* demanding.
TheTrashAvenger 200?? Echt so viel? Das ist das zehnfache was wir hier in Finnland bezahlen. Aber bald sieht es bei euch auch schon besser aus, ich halte meine Daumen gedrückt!
felpel102 Because he said he was from Germany. But you're right, maybe I shouldn't comment in German when the video is in English. I was just amazed when I heard that people in Germany pay ten times as much as people in Finland do for the same service. Guess I was just ignorant, and I am grateful that I learned not to take something for granted. Here's to hoping that one day we'll all have unlimited access to a free internet, regardless of our location and financial situation :)
Being born in 2000 I suppose I fall between Gen Z and Millennials - (According to some figures I'm a millennial and to others I am a member of Gen Z) but I'd like to point out that the oldest of them is now reaching about 35 and they make up a large sum of the working population. Their working traits have actually been described by many as perfectionism and a study has shown that they're actually the most likely to not question a manager when given an order they don't agree with. I'm not even really a Millennial and I'm sick of the unoriginal jokes about how lazy and unable to function they are. Furthermore, I'm not American and even I am tired of how they are perceived. Higher Education and housing is made financially unattainable to them. Yet they're mocked by the generations that lead the world to shit? That's the peak of irony. Millennials according to many studies are even the most charitable among the generations, despite not having the same amount of money. Human nature is amazing. The younger generation will consistently be mocked by the older one and this extends back to historical times. It's not funny anymore, people are just still hopping on the bandwagon to make a cheap reused joke.
Great. I make a comment about how lazy, unfounded and unfunny the joke is, but sure chalk it down to me being offended. Honestly, I'm just tired of the exact same joke being so re-used that there are actual people who believe it. Satire is great- you know, when it's proper comedy. (i.e. Just to let you know, satire in particular is generally clever behind the crudeness and rather ironic.) All I'm saying is that 'lazy millennials' is just an opinion really. It doesn't have a real foundation when you look at financial and social stats together. It's older people's way of trying to generalise an entire generation of people that currently extends from teenagers to people in their thirties. That's a pretty impossible thing to do. Sure, ruin the economy, the environment and then actively shit on the people that are going to have to clean up the mess. Never mind, of course, that's obviously genius, absolutely hilarious. (Actually- look at that, I found the irony: older people's hypocrisy 🙄)
Listen, if your youtube recommendations mostly consist of bad millennial jokes, then I can understand why it makes you so salty. I'm pretty sure it's not a very common theme to laugh about. But hey, let's replace "lazy millennial jokes" with "dum radio music" and I'll jump in your boat!
Try looking at news articles, media and facebook, it's pretty common. TH-cam, certainly is not the worst, but if you looked I bet there's videos that are practically the same as this one. I mean, I'm not even a Millennial. I just think the joke is really stale. Nobody seems to have any positive things to say, despite that there's plenty of positive things about them. Can't say I can relate too much to being angry about dumb radio music, I use a Bluetooth stereo to suit my own tastes.😂
I'm a millennial, I'm a programmer, I work roughly 50 hours per week, I get paid well and have over 8 years experience and my shortest stint with one company was 1 year 9 months. I don't like instagram or snap chat. I use Facebook as a medium to keep in contact with friends, and I post an update maybe once per month. Other millenials I know, as in my friends, are similar and I probably wouldn't want a close friend who insists on taking photos of every dinner I share with them, so they can splurge it on instagram. Maybe I am the exception, but I just feel normal and I genuinely value personal contact over getting a like on a social media platform.
I am a millenial. I absolutely love the fact of being original. I check social media every day... But I don't do it because of the numbers. I check instagram to see if there is a photographer that can inspire me to do something better than what I am doing. I check facebook to see if there is information on current controversial topics that I can share in order to make people wake up. I check youtube to learn new skills, watch useful content or just to chill a bit. After an hour, I feel like I lost a day. I like to tell my friends in person what I am doing in life and try not to post shit about every thing I eat. Maybe it is my crazy brain trying to make sense in this empty world, but I just love to be an exception, my friend. Welcome to the club.
Millennials were born between roughly 1980-1995. I don't know why people keep claiming that millennials are some sort of teenage generation - they aren't. There literally aren't any teenage millennials alive anymore.
I am a millennial, I like to work and I am very consistent person, and YES I use internet all the time, cuz allows me to interact and know this world, and this dosen’t make impossible to have a quality time with people and appreciate personal contact. YES and YES I am worried about the planet as others millennials and also Gen Z, not because we want to posted on Instagram and have plenty likes, but because we are taking conscience of the situation thanks to all the Info that is in social media (very different than the previous Generations). They make fun of us but doing that are helping us to keep pointing what we want to be pointed! Millennials are very polemic because we are the first generation that grow up with INTERNET...and when we grow up we found a very messy world. It is the fist generation that has different foundations. Old generation analyze us with their own perspectives!!!
This is just a stereotype. I am a Millennial and I wake up early in the morning. I have been working hard whilst attending University, because I can't afford waking up at noon, taking pictures of my meals and having social media. I know what responsibility and sacrifice mean. To be afraid of losing your home, to see your parents struggle and no matter how much you work and study, it's not that easy. I am not special, I am an *ordinary* Millennial just like MANY others. You can bash us however you want, just like the previous generations did the same to you, and then you'll realize that we are the generation of acceptance, tolerance, love for every single being and for our planet. We refuse the legacy of pollution, violence and racism you left behind, that's why we are like this. Of course, I can't deny that many of us can't live without technology and social media, but I am an optimist person and I hope that we will find a balance someday.
By the way, you are (quote) so fucking brave (quote) for insulting people on the Internet. Yeah go get a life man, and maybe some anger management course.
Did I hurt your feelings? I am really sorry then... What are you talking about? Anger management? xD That got me af. You are about as smart as a 3 year old. Just an ordinary millenial :)
Teodor Kuběna Not at all, you were the one saying "fuck you" as if I hurt *your* feelings. I have been on the Internet long enough not to be bothered by people like you, and you yourself keep on addressing insults based on... what? Assumptions? Why should I be offended? Do I know you? Do you know me? Is it true what you're saying about me? Does it matter? Do I care? I may be an ordinary Millennial, but you are one of many many people that I will cross paths in my life very briefly and then forget a few seconds right afterwards, so no, I am not hurt. I am not going to comment any further as this conversation leads to nothing but a waste of time, and yes, I suggest you to reconsider how to spend *your* time in a more productive manner. Bye.
I used to feel and think that way too about my 9 to 5 jobs. Then I started working overnight shifts, and I thought more about suicide than anything else. So I switched back to day work, and now 9-5 jobs don’t seem as terrible anymore.
I work with another millenial, from home on a 9-5 schedule, but some days I don't have tasks and just enjoy life. I worked at a boomer firm last year and he didn't pay my salary and didn't sign a work contract, with me being a LEGAL advisor...a complete disaster. Just every single time I came across a boomer, I have suffered in some way.
@@oananeghina3344 boomers have a tendency to be ultra rigid least flexible people I know and of they stick to certain idiotic rules like as if life depended on them.
Divine Hazard It's not like there's a definitive age, but generally millennials are in their 20s and 30s. Not yet middle aged, but some are getting close.
they are angry with Millenials because we realized that you are what you eat, and cheap fast foods and diners don't work on us. A whole industry is going down :)
Nothing. Eat what you like. I really don't care. Where it starts to become an issue is when I see posting every other day about horrible a person I am for not eating as you do. (Not literally you, but I do so a lot of posts that basically say that anyone who is not a vegan is basically a terrible person).
That and everyone is a introvert..over used word. Just cause they saw that Alyssa cara video everyone wants to be that alone person with the beanie and chucks on lol.
The bias of this video lays in the very intro when it says "Millennials have been shaped by technology". that's the only thing about each generation. It's just shaped by the environment of the era. if you live in the industrial age, you would be described as hardworking and resilient. If you live in the digital age, you will be described as addicted to technology, because you work with technology.
Alex HDMA does that somehow change the mentally damaging behavior of us Millenials, the seek for cheap thrills and insta-gratification? Cuz I think not... 🤷🏼♂️
Seems the older generations convinced you to believe your generation are bad and useless you just a bad apple in the mid of good apples so speak about yourself only
Millennials Pop Culture Sorry I decided who I am and didn't let others do that for me and then started to cry about how I have no choice and it's the elders fault... because it's not... at least not completely. Self-reflection makes us humans the only animal to change it's behavior to how it wants to be, we can constantly improve if we want to. My generation doesn't want that, it's always the fault of others.
Wrong There are those millenials who work with technology as in DEVELOP IT, MAKE IT BETTER, REASEARCH AND DEVELOP, just like the older generation, hard worker and resilient And there are those zombies who can't get there heads out of their phone screen who only snap, blog, post, hashtag and all this idiocy
Sassy The Sasquatch boomer is fixed: 1946-1964; gen x is from 1965 to anywhere from 1979 to 1983; millennial is anywhere from 1980-1983 all the way down to 1999-2000. After that is gen z, which ends this year. Then, we have gen alpha
I’m 21 years old, I am a senior in college. I received no scholarships when I entered. I worked 35 hours a week during school and 50-60 hours a week during the summer. I paid my way through with some help from my parents and with $20,500 of student loans and will become a teacher of mathematics. I didn’t do all that cause I’m “special” I did all that because my parents told me if I don’t bust my ass from day 1, I’m on my own for everything. Good parents aren’t afraid to be tough. Good parents tell their kids they can’t have whatever they want, they need to work to make something for themselves. I love my parents and I am forever in their debt for them telling me I’m not special. Remember this: no matter where you work, and no matter how much your manager may think you’re amazing, when you clock in and clock out, you do it using a number you were assigned in their system. You are a number in a system in the work force.
Well if Baby boomers and gen x didn't destroy the world in the first place we wouldn't have to be saving it! Give us some time we're still in our twenties and early thirties.
justin case Read "think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill. The book was written almost a hundred years ago and it still looked at men in their twenties and thirties as useless. However its mistakes that you make in those years make you a more wise person in your forties and beyond. Imo millennials in their forties would be criticizing younger generations as has always been done.
justin case th-cam.com/video/EFhkdzj-x80/w-d-xo.html You probably heard this already but isn't it so similar to what you're telling me? That men at that time took things for granted and so would end up living an unfullfilled life and broke by the time they're 65? What baby boomers and gen x criticize Mills for, they were criticized the same way by older generations. Also your last sentence is proof of immaturity and unwillingness to accept that changing time means changing circumstances for a younger generation. Why should we go work in a coal mine when there is no need for it. And FYI the platform you're using to talk to me through and other tech you use everyday is being run predominantly by Mills. Of course there are the ones that party all night and sleep all day but didn't you guys have Woodstock or some shit?
They also brought you computers, the internet, electric everything, nuclear power, capitalism, and democracy - all of which make today's snobby stale heartbleeding liberal hipster lifestyle possible today.
I know they just are trying to have fun...But there's a serious reason I'm tired of this. I am a Millennial. I suffer from major depressive disorder (MDD) as well as severe social anxiety. I'm really struggling to stand on my own two feet. The most humiliating and painful part of my life is that I cannot seem to become self sufficient. Sometimes I have just felt so useless I've wished I could die. When I see things like this, I know people just lump me together with this stereotype. It makes my anxiety worse and I have more trouble getting out of the house. It makes me feel like everyone everywhere hates me, magnifying my social anxiety. It takes a low level of intelligence to criticize but a high level to problem solve. If the older generation is concerned with the younger generation, instead of immaturely bullying and stereotyping them, perhaps they should help. My depression is real and I only wish every day that I was better than I am. I already feel worthless, that's a symptom of depression. So what are they trying to prove? Most of my friends from college, by the way, have perfectly successful lives. I really am tired of this joke.
Valorie Broderick I want you to know that , no matter where you are in life ... no matter how low you have sunk ...no matter how bleak your situation...this is NOT THE END 🙂
Yes Val you and every other Millineal is suffering! Back in my parents day they sucked it up and went on with themselves. Now everything has a diagnosis and traumatic outcome!
A very narcissistic video by David Suzuki. Every generation inflates their ego's by dismissing their children as laggers, that's always been the case within capitalism, especially since deindustrialisation. But going back to original myth of Narcissus, he didn't fall in love with own image, he thought it was somebody else - and the same with the older generation when it comes to their critique of millennials and technology. The idea that a few trophies scarred them for life is absurd, when for example, even this channel is being made socially sensitized and procrastrinized on an hour basis with hundreds of digital trophies - thumbs up, comments, quantified follower and view counts - it's like blaming a pea shooter for an atomic bomb.
The video was educational/"funny", certainly not judging but serious nonetheless. I'm quite sure there are also millennials that see what they lack in basic skills and knowledge. I could also imagine that this channel would agree that a majority of their staff consists out of millennials. So you could call that "ironic" maybe. Most certainly a conscious irony.
Millennials aren't in high school anymore. Millennials are _at least_ past their teenage years, and some of them are almost 40 years old. You are thinking of Generation Z, which is the _actual_ "young" generation today.
I’m so tired of people assuming that Millennials/Gen Z need internet to survive. Like if there’s no wifi available in the shop, it’s not the end of the world!
I am millennial, I need internet to survive, I see nothing wrong with that when all my contact, my school, my work are up there!! Why acuessing people doing something you are not able to do? Just Grab a computer and learn, it's fun and we millennial won't judge.
Why is it that the generalization of millenials is that we had parents who gave us oh so much attention, told us we were special, had everything handed to us, had so much unconditional love, and never were disciplined? Are people that stupid and ignorant that they dont understand the psychology of people? One of the main reasons all of these young people feel the need to post their whole life on social media, dress inappropriately, or act like airheads is because they did NOT get attention or love growing up, nor were they properly taught anything important about life. With that said, it really isn't as dramatic as what was portrayed in this video, lmao. It's not really about the generations, it's more about the parents paired with the mentality of the kids. That's it. Glad I'm not like most of the people on this planet. Holy crow.
the big secret is the younger generation and the older generation will always be at odds with each other citing the same exact things over and over. the older generation will blame the younger for (among other things) being lazy and entitled. the younger will blame the older for (among other things) never having any fun and handing off a broken world. the scariest thing is eventually we become our parents. its inevitable. it comes from decades of exhausting ourselves working while making stupid mistakes. i cant even begin to tell you how many times in life i've said to myself "geez my parents were right!" when slapped in the face with some reality i did not prepare myself for. Personally what i don't like is seeing people play into the stereo types. i've seen so many kids close themselves off from learning or experiencing something great simply because they view it as something that belonged to the older generations...but as i stated those realizations come with time and growing old.
wait that is more than the no. of humans on earth, wait u gonna include animals, plants, birds and insects too? cause even after including them we will need some alien races. I can imagine a cyberpunk feminist saying this deodar tree identifies as deodar gender and his pronouns are de and do
I don’t know about saving the world, but I know that you can help the world by taking care of those around you, and by taking care of yourself too while you’re here.
The people who have the highest ability to make a difference are 60 and up. Congress, large tech company owners, large corporations such as Walmart. They do the bare minimum because they are filled with greed. I actually worked at Walmart and they throw away at least 50 gallons of food a month at one store because they won’t discount it early or give it away. Congress could control things a little better than they do but they are so old they don’t know what the heck is going on.
I'm a millennial and this is hilarious to me. The man doing the voiceover is fantastic. There are many relevant things that relate to our generation, but not all can be applied to all of us. I don't think it's insulting, but it was just made to poke fun of our quirks and habits. Now I gotta make my avocado toast.
Exactly, it's such bullshit that we get this much flack. We're gonna have more trouble because of missing school and that will influence our grades which will affect what jobs we get. Millennials and Gen Z are straight up fucked at this point
That's why they're called stereotypes. Its a joke. Generation bashing has been around for as long as bullies and governments corrupt to the point of insanity that generally fall apart in violent bloody civil war. Life. Sometimes its nice. And sometimes is sucks ass. And sometimes its a disgusting joke that we're the brunt.
Sofia B as a millennial this is inaccurate. . . for some and accurate for others. The problem with stereotypes is over-generalizations and the lack of nuance.
I’m a millennial. I spent my adulthood with a back injury, no healthcare, picking up pop bottles and change from the ground, sold all of my assets, moved 20 times, have 30 different jobs, have a degree, no crimes or violence on record, and I still get shit from older people. Older people who went to the grocery store and got a simple job, and that was enough to buy a home and support a family.
As a Father of 2 Millennials (Daughter 34 & Son 29) I find that both have very strong characteristics of the stereotypical type of Millennial portrayed in this satirical video. So whilst it may be a sweeping generalization to suggest that all of this generation fit into one particular category, there are a lot of truths in the overall depiction of this younger generation. Having said that, maybe we 'baby-boomers' need to look at ourselves & possibly conclude that our offspring are a creation of our own well-intended actions in making life as good/comfortable as possible for them right from an early age. Most of us born in the UK came into the world with the remnants of WW2 as a backdrop to our early lives. Growing up in inner-city Liverpool back in the early 60's I remember vividly how tough it was for everyone regarding work, the lack of social housing etc. But as time progressed things gradually improved, & so did our lives. We were encouraged to work hard to reap the benefits that hard work provided. & for most of us that's always been our mantra, along with making sacrifices when needed such as doing without things whilst saving up a deposit for a house etc. Because a lot of us made life easier for our kids, they never had to go through the tough stage of life in order to enjoy the nice things that life can provide. When you take an awful lot for granted, it's very difficult to be appreciative when something good happens in your life because most of your life has consisted of good things. Again I'm not generalizing, but I find a lot of other Mum's & Dad's of our age nod in agreement when we discuss the overall attitudes of our respective creations.
Michael Robins my Boomer parents on the other hand were born in the US, into newfound affluence for both families, a country affected (both negatively and extremely positively) but untorn structurally by war. I don’t think they had the same experience as someone whose city had been bombed out by the Germans, at all....
I love when people compare Millennials and Baby Boomers as if they experienced the same living conditions. “Millennials aren’t hard workers like Baby Boomers.” Sure, Millennials aren’t working in factories and farms, but that’s because they don’t have to. It’s like calling Baby Boomers stupid, because they don’t know how to connect WiFi or walk and text. It’s not stupidity. The two generations are simply good at different things.
I never thought about this until now. When I was growing up in Austin, Texas in a small tract home in a subdivision in the 1970’s, my dad would get me and my brother up for school and feed us waffles or scrambled eggs at the breakfast table while he sat at the table smoking a couple of Marlboro’s, drinking black Folger’s or Maryland Club coffee from the Mr. Coffee maker, and read the newspaper. Then he’d get ready for work in a suit while we waited for the bus. In 2018, imagine being a parent smoking cigarettes indoors in front of their kids, reading the paper, and going to work in a suit. How often does this happen now? And our neighbors around us wore suits to work and some got their hands dirty everyday and came home dirty and sweaty. This was the American dream then whether you were a businessman or skilled tradesman, many lived in the same middle-class neighborhoods.
Is this about rich kids who get up and noon or can quit a job after 3 weeks and then go on vacation? Nobody lives like this. And also millenials are more tolerant than other generations. Try to lead a healthier life style, and are more aware and against social injustice. I really don't know who made this video. It's alll wrong.
I am 17 years old and was born in 2001, so I am not quite a Milennial, yet even I am beyond tired of hearing the same over-used, over-done and frankly quite tired joke on how technology-obsessed and lazy ALL milennials are. I am not even going to go into how inaccurate and stigmatizing this long-running old-man-on-facebook joke is, but haven't all of us heard it a million times over? This is stupid, easy and boring comedy, and i bet you can find at least 500 videos on the exact same topic, with the exact same condescending, narcissistic older-generation imprint on them.
My homie is woke AF. 😂, I thought this video was hilarious satire on my generation. I was born in august 22,1999. I consider myself a millenial since I was born just before the start of this millenium. This video is too accurate of my generation tbh xD.
William Winkle It really isn't. Maybe in your circle of friends, but none of this applies to anyone I know. You also are not technically considered a millennial, though its an arbitrary division line. There are always going to be lazy entitled people, but nearly everyone I know in my generation has a job, home, is starting a family, has a degree, works hard to build a life in a time where that is difficult. Yeah, they use technology, and so does almost every other person on the planet. You are 18. You have not had time to see people for who they are because you are still in your teen fun phase. Which you should be, but your vision is myopic and you see the people around you who are probably the same age. You, and they are not the representation of the millennial generation. You haven't even had a chance to enter the real work force, so how can you know.
This is more like the nature of youtubers and instagram junkies

Life expectancy now is the same as it was in the 80s. Life is the same always. You aren’t special and neither were they. There’s still a hell of a lot of evil in the world and there is no end it seems
Those are rich, first world country millenials
that's the point. usualy they are showing us stereotypical USA millenials. STEREOTYPICAL.
yap!
Lol, were the rich kids of the world. Feels good.
Alessandra Santamaría the millennials in your country till the soil, mine coal from open cast, fish for crocodile with only snake for bait. Not interesting enough for TH-cam. thank you for playing.
Harith Sami what's wrong with Americans?
If you do not want to invest in your self why should a company invest in you. Especially when you are going to quit in 3 weeks anyway...?
There wouldn’t be that many people in that coffee shop if WiFi was down, let’s be real
Josh Leyva It's 2018, most people should have unlimited 4G/LTE by now
3ROS not in Germany. Unlimited LTE costs about 200€ a month here.
TheTrashAvenger 200?? Echt so viel? Das ist das zehnfache was wir hier in Finnland bezahlen. Aber bald sieht es bei euch auch schon besser aus, ich halte meine Daumen gedrückt!
Wieso du sprechen deutsch here
felpel102 Because he said he was from Germany.
Yeah, fuck satire! Let's ban it! It's offensive
IgorD I'll get the picket signs ready 🙄
Great. I make a comment about how lazy, unfounded and unfunny the joke is, but sure chalk it down to me being offended. Honestly, I'm just tired of the exact same joke being so re-used that there are actual people who believe it. Satire is great- you know, when it's proper comedy. (i.e. Just to let you know, satire in particular is generally clever behind the crudeness and rather ironic.)
All I'm saying is that 'lazy millennials' is just an opinion really.
That's super, Nathan. Would you like a ribbon?
That's great, Nathan, I don't think you know what splurge means though.
Cheers bro!
Teodor Kuběna Just as I said, I am an ordinary girl, so no thanks, I don't need any medal. Go learn how to read dipshit.
Bye.
That 9-5 job does suck tho 🙁
I used to feel and think that way too about my 9 to 5 jobs.
Then I started working overnight shifts, and I thought more about suicide than anything else.
So I switched back to day work, and now 9-5 jobs don’t seem as terrible anymore.
For Real!!
8-5 here
@@oananeghina3344 boomers have a tendency to be ultra rigid least flexible people I know and of they stick to certain idiotic rules like as if life depended on them.
I love how most people don't realize that this is comedy😂😂😂
Weirdly enough I've seen a lot more middle aged people using the hoverboard than millennials.
Erik Bakker Yeah, young kids too.
Evija3000 millenials are middle aged.
Divine Hazard It's not like there's a definitive age, but generally millennials are in their 20s and 30s. Not yet middle aged, but some are getting close.
True

What is wrong with eating organic or vegan?
Its wrong that you dont vape nor crossfit.
Nothing, they're just salty as fuck that people get to choose their own diets. Eat whatever the fuck you want and leave us alone.
they are angry with Millenials because we realized that you are what you eat, and cheap fast foods and diners don't work on us.
La excesiva compulsión por expresar que se come orgánico y/o vegano, eso es lo malo.
The amount of people who don't realize this is satire is absolutely hilarious.
That's the stereotype, but I dunno. I've met so many millennials that don't fit that that I have a hard time believing it to be completely true.
Gavigg75 Because if you don't try, you will, by definition, fail.

Let's go to Thailand and start a travel vlog... I instantly thought of you lmao
Seems the older generations convinced you to believe your generation are bad and useless
you just a bad apple in the mid of good apples so speak about yourself only
Millennials Pop Culture Sorry I decided who I am and didn't let others do that for me and then started to cry about how I have no choice and it's the elders fault... because it's not... at least not completely.
Self-reflection makes us humans the only animal to change it's behavior to how it wants to be, we can constantly improve if we want to. My generation doesn't want that, it's always the fault of others.
Wrong
There are those millenials who work with technology as in DEVELOP IT, MAKE IT BETTER, REASEARCH AND DEVELOP, just like the older generation, hard worker and resilient
And there are those zombies who can't get there heads out of their phone screen who only snap, blog, post, hashtag and all this idiocy
The video is a joke! It’s made by millennials
"Millenial" is just a word old people use to talk about young people
We do it too. I've heard people complain about "boomers" the same way they complain about "Millennials"
@Sassy The Sasquatch Wrong idiot.Baby boomers are people born from 1946 to 1964.
So what is the word for gen x? Disco gen?
Sassy The Sasquatch boomer is fixed: 1946-1964; gen x is from 1965 to anywhere from 1979 to 1983; millennial is anywhere from 1980-1983 all the way down to 1999-2000. After that is gen z, which ends this year. Then, we have gen alpha

Millennial bashing is so over.
It'll be over when the food supply is gone and they become the food supply.
Once we run out of people to bash and eat, we will go extinct.
It’s just starting.
Oh no.....millenial bashing hasn't even BEGUN. There's ALWAYS MORE TO COME.
Nope...pussy generation
Lana Stewart Millenial bashing is getting pretty old but I think alot of us can't deny that this was pretty funny aaaand slightly true.
Feels dystopian doesn't it?
Are sure you're describing millennials or the average Vancouverite?

Well if Baby boomers and gen x didn't destroy the world in the first place we wouldn't have to be saving it! Give us some time we're still in our twenties and early thirties.
mid-twenties to late-thirties
Ya ok you're gonna save the world... LOL fuck off
justin case Read "think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill. The book was written almost a hundred years ago and it still looked at men in their twenties and thirties as useless. However its mistakes that you make in those years make you a more wise person in your forties and beyond. Imo millennials in their forties would be criticizing younger generations as has always been done.
beavis better to try to save it than don't give a shit aye wise elder?
justin case th-cam.com/video/EFhkdzj-x80/w-d-xo.html You probably heard this already but isn't it so similar to what you're telling me?
Yes, that hard working generation you told about brought us the wars, the environmental problems and so on ^^
They also brought you computers, the internet, electric everything, nuclear power, capitalism, and democracy - all of which make today's snobby stale heartbleeding liberal hipster lifestyle possible today.
Valorie Broderick 🙃

I'm 70% the entire vid was just a typical millennial satire joke thing, but I hope it is and not some repetitive "millennial-are-bad" shit
Yeah the truth hurts buddy. Get over it.
Transition21 Mate, it is a satire made by (probably) mainly millenials, and I'm pretty sure You missed the entire point.
Katrine Petersen proves the point of the easy offended millennial. :D
See, that's the magic of self consciousness - something everybody can develop.
I can't be the only person above 20 that doesn't feel like a millenial at all, except the wall outlet thing.
Millennials aren't in high school anymore.
Millennials are _at least_ past their teenage years, and some of them are almost 40 years old.
You are thinking of Generation Z, which is the _actual_ "young" generation today.
That’s true. We get confused for each other all the time. To the point where I don’t know who to be annoyed by.
I’m so tired of people assuming that Millennials/Gen Z need internet to survive. Like if there’s no wifi available in the shop, it’s not the end of the world!
Exactly. I've got data, even out the back of our farm in the middle of nowhere.
IT IS!
I am millennial, I need internet to survive, I see nothing wrong with that when all my contact, my school, my work are up there!!
Why acuessing people doing something you are not able to do? Just Grab a computer and learn, it's fun and we millennial won't judge.
this is only about unbelievably rich millennials
Holy crow.
Exactamundo.

the big secret is the younger generation and the older generation will always be at odds with each other citing the same exact things over and over. the older generation will blame the younger for (among other things) being lazy and entitled. the younger will blame the older for (among other things) never having any fun and handing off a broken world.
the scariest thing is eventually we become our parents. its inevitable. it comes from decades of exhausting ourselves working while making stupid mistakes.
i cant even begin to tell you how many times in life i've said to myself "geez my parents were right!" when slapped in the face with some reality i did not prepare myself for.
Personally what i don't like is seeing people play into the stereo types. i've seen so many kids close themselves off from learning or experiencing something great simply because they view it as something that belonged to the older generations...but as i stated those realizations come with time and growing old.
Millenials want to save the world...but they dont know how: yep, thats me
wait that is more than the no. of humans on earth, wait u gonna include animals, plants, birds and insects too? cause even after including them we will need some alien races. I can imagine a cyberpunk feminist saying this deodar tree identifies as deodar gender and his pronouns are de and do
I don’t know about saving the world, but I know that you can help the world by taking care of those around you, and by taking care of yourself too while you’re here.
We don’t have the power to do that anymore. They’ve been taken from the people and given to corporations.

Stereotypes do come from somewhere
let's make online petition on this and make it viral
Jeff Burt as a millennial this is accurate
Sofia B as a millennial this is inaccurate. . . for some and accurate for others. The problem with stereotypes is over-generalizations and the lack of nuance.
I love how clearly satire this is, lol
This is both funny and painful at the same time. "The mating habits of Millennials" was the funniest.
I keep getting labeled this way but don't readily see the connection. Everyone needs open power outlets.
Why are you taking the video seriously, it’s satire... The video is made by millennials
Sir this is a Wendy’s
I was only 30 seconds into this and I subscribed.
This has to be the best CBC video ever made.
And they're not bullshitting this time
As a Father of 2 Millennials (Daughter 34 & Son 29) I find that both have very strong characteristics of the stereotypical type of Millennial portrayed in this satirical video.
On the other hand Gen X can't even pronounce the word vegan correctly 😂
Where the hell you getting that from?
Vee -gun
Boomers dont understand the millennials and gen z correctly. I am a millennial and my dad is a boomer and he doesnt get the trend
This stereotype is basically covering all of LA
I feel personally attacked
sameee
Are you a millennial? If so, that might explain it.
You should have been called the Feelz generation 🤣

People realize that this comedy right?
No bc I'm a millennial... I didn't even watch. To a d.d. ... Just skipped to the comments 😁👍. At least I read today 😁👍
What original and fresh observational comedy!
Great to see Mr David Suzuki narrating.
Is this about rich kids who get up and noon or can quit a job after 3 weeks and then go on vacation? Nobody lives like this. And also millenials are more tolerant than other generations. Try to lead a healthier life style, and are more aware and against social injustice. I really don't know who made this video. It's alll wrong.
i watched the whole thing already is this the mendela effect
Your generation knows nothing of our generation.
Teenkitsune He is also millenial. Does he look like 40? You dumbass.
Teodor Kuběna Don't talk to me that way!
Oh, I am so sorry. Bitch..
Shred The Knar Knar Dique

Not a David Suzuki fan but that was hilarious and very very accurate!

If you're 17 years old right now, I think you would belong to Generation Z :) but love your points, you're right!
Marce Haberkorn very well put
You will never understand until you’ve actually hired one! This is completely accurate unfortunately!
Lol this was so accurate a little too accurate 🤣
This is so accurate 🤣🤣🤣. The irony being im on my bed at 4 pm browsing the web just like in the video
