I love Canada - by far the best country I've ever been to. The metric thing made me laugh - we have a similar problem in the UK. Speeds are all in MPH but distances could be in miles or km depending on who you're talking to! Our temperatures are in Celsius unless you're of the older generation who talk in Fahrenheit, human weight in usually stone (but never just pounds!), weight of everything else seems to be equally kilos or pounds! Canadian spelling is also a mishmash of American and British: "Tire Centre" being a perfect example I saw in Toronto. What's up with that, eh? :) (P.S. Looking forward to Whistler video!!!)
Try the coastal regions. If you're into big cities, the ones bordering the Great Lakes are probably your best bet (Vancouver if you're not sticking around; housing prices are absurd). Coastal BC is pretty awesome if you're into hiking or mountain biking. Victoria's also pretty cool to visit.
I think technically all of our spelling is properly the British spelling - American spelling is a simplification of the rules of the language they formally adopted way back. Thing is, we're so close to the US that a lot of their stuff gets adopted. Most big name businesses want to operate in both countries, so they tend to use American spelling (If you're going to rile up the grammar nazis, you annoy the ones who don't legally own combat rifles.) And in terms of media, we get a lot of our literature, TV/movies, and other such forms of entertainment from down south, so there's a pretty strong American influence Canada in general. We just pick and choose the things we actually want. Consider Trump for an example - we're fine with him investing heavily in construction projects up here (though since the campaign began even that's been an issue), but we're not willing to put up with all the crap that comes with it. All that said, our media, literature and products go into the US just as much. It's just that with only a tenth of their population, it's generally assumed to be American unless they make a point of making it obviously Canadian.
Yeah I think so, the newspapers also mentioned something about a Chocolate Chill doctorate too. Wow, Hortons is a great prime minister, isn't he? Also, what are your thoughts on the cafe Justin Trudeaus? Don't they serve great Cabinet Gender Equality?
You forgot that us Canadians invented basketball. It was invented by Canadian proud James.A.Naismith but the first basketball game was played in a university in the US so that's why Americans say that they invented basketball
No it wasn’t the fact it was played in America first- it’s the fact that “Canadian” man made it in America. He was also an American since he had citizenship. So technically both created it: a Canadian-American.

Okay you need, I repeat NEED to know the Canadian Anthem.
Oh Canada!
The land of the maple leeeafff!
Fuck national anthems.
Patriotism is for sheep.
toronto is its own region lmaaooooo
Yeah
Maddy Quail nobody lives in the rest of Ontario (excluding Ottawa and Niagara Falls)
Canada would be perfect if it wasnt for all that snow
Most areas of Canada aren't that cold, mainly just the Territories and the Eastern Provinces
The Eastern provinces???!! Pretty sure the Prairies get pretty cold too
Try the coastal regions.
It's just that with only a tenth of their population, it's generally assumed to be American unless they make a point of making it obviously Canadian.
i felt that when the kid at the end said their was no gravy on his poutine
No gravy on poutine is a crime against humanity
Too many cheese curds is even worse
I think I'm probably the only Canadian here.

How long has Tim Hortons been prime minister for?
Just got elected, he's a feminist too.. quite sad really.
Since he received his honorary Double Double degree.
Angela Bi He finally got it? is that with milk or cream? And a minor in Boston Cream no?
Yeah I think so, the newspapers also mentioned something about a Chocolate Chill doctorate too. Wow, Hortons is a great prime minister, isn't he? Also, what are your thoughts on the cafe Justin Trudeaus? Don't they serve great Cabinet Gender Equality?
I disagree actually, Mr. Sub was much better - at least he didn't throw billions of timbits willy-nilly at whoever wanted some.
I moved to Canada 5 months ago and its amazing here, Canadians are so nice and cool ❤

+Eva James ones in Ottawa, and the other is in a mall
I loved it :(
Oh my god. When she held up the Pathways textbook I was sold.
You forgot that us Canadians invented basketball. It was invented by Canadian proud James.A.Naismith but the first basketball game was played in a university in the US so that's why Americans say that they invented basketball
And baseball hockey lacrosse etc.
Yall still suck at it lol
James A Naismith was my great uncle :D
No it wasn’t the fact it was played in America first- it’s the fact that “Canadian” man made it in America. He was also an American since he had citizenship. So technically both created it: a Canadian-American.
James Naismith is a great great uncle of me, something off to the side. I do have some of that american in my dna so you do have a point
2:25 yeah that’s the same social studies textbook that I used!
A formal complaint! God I love this country.
In Australia we also wear poppies for our soldiers
Yeah, but do bleed for them ?
Same as America
defuk is a "poo tin" its pronounced POO TEEN
lol ok now i get it but im still not used to these fancy ass french names
Yeah the sound is longer in "teen" compared to the second part of "Poutine" in French, which would indeed sound more like "tin"
LOL POO TIN
I love having Putin in my mouth.
Ever since I saw him shirtless on a bear.
No it's poutin if your French and pouteeeeen if you're English. I'm French Canadian so...
