    Happy and excited to say that I've finally (after almost a year of deliberating) pulled the trigger on my $3500 build! Because of this video, I went with the enthoo primo. Can't wait to get all my pieces in tomorrow and bring the beast to life!

    I love that you give honest reviews and point out everything that you find faulty with your products. A lot of other tech channels that I watch are more than happy to overhype or flat out skip over problems to keep a good relationship with the vendors. Keep up the great work!

    I am still rocking this case. Planning on changing up from watercooled 9900k and 3080 to a 7800x3d and 4090 in a few weeks. Same radiators as ever (420 up top, 280 at bottom with the XPSC 170 reservoir/pump combo) still going strong. This case is a legend.

      Knight Templar Generally speaking.... Corsair has been the main company to offer cases that offers the best water-cooling up till this point. I own a 900D Just recently downsized to another Corsair Case .. Personally, both this and the 900D are mainly meant for water Cooling, but if someone was a Die hard Air Cooling person... I'd recommend the 900D... Water Cooling this is the case.

    I'm not into custom WC stuff, but this case have a lot of nice features that most of us would want to see in a ATX/Mid ATX case. Great review as always, and thanks for being aware of my previous comment about plugging the power cables in the video card, you´re the best =)

    This is the most flexible case I have seen lately as well. The slots instead of holes for fans is much needed in the top is much needed. I personally think there may have been to many 5.25" bays? I only use two at most for a reservoir but because this case has so many places for other reservoirs as well I almost fell like they could take them out all together. Great review and will definitely be looking into this case for a future build!

    Man ! Your reviews are AWESOME . So many details, so many good shots... and I like how you took my critique for using word "so" too many times in video and improved.
    As for the case - I love how it looks, but it is a bit overkill for me, as I do not plan water cooling. Though I can't wait for something as standard full tower from them with silence and full set of features in mind. Price is not an issue, as long as I get everything exactly how i want it. I hope they make more cases

    Outstanding case to build system! Push pull setup no problem! Outstanding balance and case for the money hands down!

    Just to give you an idea of size, I am running 3 x 1080ti's in this setup(not for gaming before you freak out, for rendering with octane gpu renderer) and with a water-cooled cpu, and two corsair 850w psu. This thing is a beast, and very versatile. I friggin love this case... best looking case I have ever owned with a rog z370 - e led motherboard and corsair rgb fans on top and back over the radiators. Seriously sick.
    My fellow Canadian's review complaint about not having room for long cards because of the reservoir cover is not a problem as it is removable in about 1 min, I am not kidding either, designed with large thumbscrews you don't even need a screwdriver for. one of my cards i am using is a msi aero (really long founders type version, but seriously longer then any gpu card I have ever seen), and it fits fine once you remove the extra cover for the reservoir which is optional to help hide it, but not needed. My other two cards are zotac 1080ti amped cards.
    Seriously, best case i have ever seen for not insane price. Considering the competing cases that Iooked at that could also pull of 3 1080ti's and 2 psu were about 1000 dollars, or at least $500 or more USD. I don't think I could have asked for a better case for my particular setup. Just forget about it fitting under most desks, it is a monolith of a case.

    you can also have a 280mm rad in the front with out removing the bottom HD cage (u can have a 280mm rad in the front with out removing either with a little cutting) just have to have the Hard drive cage back/not close to the intake fans.

      Fuck Enthoo Primo, I've been waiting for the white version for months now and still it's not available, also a percentage of those who got their hands on it complain about poor quality and reaching them with broken tips and other defections, and to add to that the price of the black one just sky rocketed on Amazon.com.
      I'm done, I'll just get my ass a white NZXT H630 or Phantom.

    • @lutbv
      @lutbv 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      *****
      Yeah i relized corsair is not all its cracked up to be. Even their PSU's are not as competativbe with EVGA's g2 lineup. Their cases all have lots of plastic, with the acception of some older obsidian cases. Silverstone beats them at cases, as does phanteks.

    • @TomHartill
      @TomHartill 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** I did the same. You will love the Phantek case. Its so smart and sleek and the cable management is brilliant, best I have seen I think.

    • @TomHartill
      @TomHartill 10 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      ***** The Phanteks case wont stop you spending money on compressed air. It does not matter what case you have, you will still need to clean it out. All the dust filters in the world do not really stop dust. My old corsair obsidian had dust filters and it was still a dust magnet.
      The best thing you can do is just have lots of positive air pressure.
      BTW it may be cheaper for you to buy your own air compressor.

  • @Gizfreek
    @Gizfreek 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    i thought about a 750D for my next build including watercooling for the first time, but this case is just so much better in any way except for the price, but i think if i'm going for a custom watercooling loop and things like sleeved cables, the difference of 60€ (in Austria) isn't that much

  • @DieselCat18
    @DieselCat18 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    If I were to build a full tower water cooling PC I would buy this case in a heartbeat. For what it offers, $250 is a steal....thxxx for another great review !

  • @BreitheNua
    @BreitheNua 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Would you recommend this for an air-cooled modern build? Friend of mine wants to build a monster of a PC and I'm wondering if I should even bother recommending this case to him. It looks like the quality means it will be reusable for years, but my main concern is just cooling. He refuses to consider water-cooling due to maintenance concerns and possibility of leaking, etc, which is fair.

  • @supersayianz
    @supersayianz 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thought its released in 2013, I have to say its one of the sturdiest full tower cases to date with so many fan mount options everywhere. Recent cases always have structural issues and even quality control problems.
    One might argue that the price point is ridiculous etc, but if you were to compare with a 900D I would say this is a much better value full tower even in 2016.

  • @ApostolisTympakianakis

    I admit this is overkill for my needs, but damn this is an impressive case and indeed Phanteks has included almost everything an enthusiast needs/wants. I agree that I also cannot wait for more cases from those guys. Truly amazing effort for a first case...

  • @cristianpogolsha3999
    @cristianpogolsha3999 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Quick question. How did the balance of the case feel? Was it sturdy or did it easily wobble? It looks like it's centre of mass is high enough that it could easily tilt sideways or maybe it's just me!

  • @daj246
    @daj246 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Another thing I'm curious about is the quality of the fans included with case. Do they create enough cooling and static pressure? Are they quiet? And will it help overall cooling performance if I replace fans with SP120s, 140s or cougar Vortex 120s/140s ???

  • @Skooteh
    @Skooteh 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    I really like what this case has done, unlike many other similarly sized cases I am always painfully annoyed by the amount of empty space present (caselabs...) but this seems like an excellently designed case. given that this case is cheaper and comes with 5 140mm fans included I cannot see any value in getting a 900d at this point.
    my favourite cases are still the ingeniously tiny small form factor cases that manage to still be really good. (I've personally come up with a design for an atx case with a lower overall volume than the bitfenix prodigy)

    Is the Led on the plain black version just blue or does it change colors like the Luxe. I really like the all black primo but I have a red and black color scheme and the red/black version of the Primo has too much red inside the chassis imo. I was hoping the Primo has color shifting like other Phanteks cases.

    This case is amazing! Expensive, but amazing! Can you review more cases in the sub $75(USD) market? There is a ton of competition there and I would like to hear your take on them. Your coverage is way different from most other reviewers, as you ALWAYS find something negative to point out (there is no such thing as perfection, though that is a goal case manufacturers should strive for). Are all cases in the sub $50 market the same? Care to find out?

I will be biased on every other case because the case just screams at me to get and I want to! That 249$ price is nothing compared to what you get, just simply an amazing deal and competitive price.

    Biggest complaint of owning this case is the Res mount and cable cover. That 10.5 inches makes me sad when my cards are 11.5 inches. Another complaint would be the LED strip included, as it is only blue, but I modded that along with the power button to match my build. Still amazing
    On another note, 11 fans can be installed on the standard hub. 5 of the ports can be split fan 1 needs to be single cable only.

      Does the side fan bracket support 140 fans? Official specs say yes, but looking at 7:13 it doesn't seem so to me?

    I wish the led was RGB.

    Yup, case of the year. They really put themselves in the shoes of the user while building this case. And unlike the Air540 (which I do like), there's no wasted space at all.
    Putting enthusiasts first, Enthoo Primo indeed! Well done Phanteks!
    Looking forward to what else they come up with

    Nice review, but I think the dimensions at 00:59" are wrong. Please check up again, cause at oficial Phanteks website are listed as 600mm x 650mm x 250mm (DxHxW).

    I don't really like the look of the case personally, but it's really well designed and well thought! I wish more cases had all these features!

    I think most users prefer a FRONT MOUNTED control section (USB ports, on/off/reset switches, power/disk LED and Fire Wire port. Also, having such a control section on the case's front panel as opposed to the top or the top-side (as in this case), certainly puts less stress on the cables and they will probably last longer to boot. P.S. Your lighting and camera work are outstanding, allowing the viewers to clearly see everything. :-)

      I think it depends on placement. With such a large case, I'd put it on the floor so that wouldn't be an issue. With smaller cases I wholeheartedly agree, as if I decided to put one on my desk, I'd definitely prefer to have I/O on the front.
