I remember in my younger years I wanted the biggest case I could possibly get.. just because. There's no way I'd have been able to afford half of the hardware that could go inside it, but I was sat there drooling over the CM Cosmos and a bit later the Obsidian 1000D. Now I have an NZXT H1 and couldn't be happier with having such a small system. Times change :)

That's funny, since I'm the opposite. When I was younger I wanted smaller cases, so I could carry them to LANs easier. Now I want the biggest case I can get, so I can work in there easier without constantly cutting my hand on stuff. The HAF X and O11 XL have been amazing for building computers.

personally not had any issues with the FP on mine yet and it is using the same flip up design, I completely understand where jay is coming from however I dont think that is something the target audience would experience very often if at all, jay made the point of some wireless adapters are a little larger but even then most of the time you would want those in the back of the case unless you move around a lot and have separate systems with only one set of peripherals but even that is going to be few and far between, my point is that phanteks is unlikely to change this as it takes away from the very clean face of the cases and I think that that is the type of audience they are targeting, people who care more about aesthetics than the usability as minor as it may be.

    Hi Jay,
Just thought I'd add my scenario that I am currently in for the dual systems one case.
My partner and I share the office space, and we don't have a lot of space in the room for two computers full of hard drives. So to cut down on space, I use a dual system case for our rigs.

"What would you do with this case?"
Well since i host most games for my friends and the party size varies often from 4+ to 12+ we pretty often require our own server.
so within reason having a second system already running dedicated servers acting like a DIY mini server with something like Linux running on it would be pretty handy.
Beyond that you could potentially just connect 1 single monitor and have both inputs send to the same monitor and with a switch in between its simply a flick of a button and you'd switching back and forth. The benefits would be near equal playing field for everyone because both system although they are next to each other the connect would first end up at the router and then return again thus still creating a bit of latency.
As example, If people out there ever played Pummel party 8+ and you'd host a game you'd literally have no latency as host, thus your reaction times are much better then your friends which would technically be a unfair advantage. But you can always negate that by simply saying "Get gud bro".

I got a corsair 1000D and the second system is mainly used for game servers, its also used for couch gaming in another room and a racing sim because my main system lacks enough outputs for everything I want. Playing on the couch is fine in 1080p for the games I play and racing games are fairly light so don't require a beast of a video card. But 99% of the time its either a server or just media streaming to the tv.

got something like that running in the enthoo 719 but you have to realise before setting up something like that that itx mobo's usually only contain 2 ram slots and a lot of gameservers are pretty ram heavy to run. which means you'd only ever run one dedi ar at best 2 at any given time (saving up for a 2u rackmounted server now to replace my itx server for that reason).

I've been having a battle in my head for years - Is my next rig a Gaming machine or a Solidworks Machine?! I guess if we are playing fantasy, I'd build a machine with ATX Area as a Solidworks Rig, and the ITX as a Gaming Rig. Both would be linked to a trio of 16:10 monitors for maximum productivity or maximum immersion. You could easily YOLO this further but I've decided to stay somewhat realistsic... £5000 realistic, excluding any Watercooling.
    ATX Rig - CAD/Solidworks
    CPU: Ryzen 9 3900X
Cooler (Air): be quiet! dark Rock Pro 4
Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero ATX
    Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3200 (4x16GB)
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 1TB & Western Digital Black 4TB (RAID'd as required)
    GPU: Quadro RTX 5000
(So you can put a Waterblock on it if need be.)
    PSU: Silverstone Strider Titanium 700W
    ITX Rig - Gaming
    CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
    Cooler (Air): Noctua NH-L9a-AM4 Chromax.Black
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-I Gaming Mini ITX
    Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 3200 (2x16GB)
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 2TB & Western Digital Black 4TB (RAID'd as required)
GPU: RTX 2080 Super Gigabyte Windforce OC
    PSU: Revolt Pro PH-P850GC
(Seems you need this specific one for the second system!)
I've spec'd air coolers as any Water Loop would be custom and that not an area I'm familiar with. You could have two loops, one per system, or, so long as you had the same blocks, have one parralel loop for the two systems. I'd try and network the ITX Rig via a high speed network card on the ATX rig, so there was no need for WiFi.

This case is such a tempting upgrade from the original Enthoo that I have, partially because I find the dual system niche somewhat cool.
My dream config would be to use the main ATX area as my primary rig, and set up the ITX system as a catch-all machine, as a file/game server, or as a secondary machine for when guests are over (whether they use it directly or we use it for VR). Hopefully, I would also do a custom loop, but that simply depends on how much I might switch out hardware.

10:29 I don't think having a two PCs for streaming was about a performance hit to the game but a issues with the *STREAM* stuttering, pixelating, dropping frames, or lagging out, especially if you're streaming to more than one platform. Also a lot of people have multiple audio inputs and video inputs that necessitates having to manage it all on another "Streaming PC" so you can easily transitions or activate, with out having to pause the game, alt-tab out to OBS, to make any changes to the stream. It's also easier to trigger events like video clips when people follow or sub to your channel while you're streaming.

It mounts near the front, but it faces out the side, meaning that you need to open your case anytime you want to access the drives to insert a DVD disk or whatever. I'm not entirely sure how it affects the clearances with the radiators, but I would assume that you wouldn't be able to put a 480 radiator on the side or the front anymore.

The original Primo has 5 5.25 bays, kept mine through my last 3 builds now as there just isn't anything suitable on the market like it anymore. It's housing a 480 rad, 360 rad, 140 rad, Eatx mobo, bluray and dvd burner, 6x 3.5" drives, 2x 2.5" drives (can fit another 4), 2x HDD hot swap bays. My only problem with it is that the IO is on the top of the case which is super impractical due to it needing to live under a desk due to its size.

Can't justify it right now, being unemployed and all, but I will dream damnit! The dream is full custom loop shared between both systems going with a icey blue/black theme. Would try my best to do contrasting pieces, for example ram on 1 system might be white/icey blue but on the other system just a nice matte black. 1 everyday gaming system: ryzen 3950/16GB of high clock ram/2080TI and a monster workhorse: threadripper/128GB ram/titan.

    I have that case.
It works great, and I like the form-factor. With the addition of the second GPU, I have removed my USB-3 card, and two of the front plugs are not working, but I am upgrading the motherboard to one with two built-in USB-3 headers. The PCI real estate is less than I had hoped for, and many motherboards have one USB-3 header, and the case needs two. I originally bought the solid panel but upgraded to the glass side after I got an incredibly fantastic deal on my LED components (RAM, motherboard, pump, and fans). It all works, but my PCH (chipset) temps are around 78 degrees Celcius, but everything else is half of that or less. Z690 chips run hot, and the MSI rep said it could reach 90 under load while gaming or rendering.
I ordered everything from Newegg and assembled the beast over Christmas at my Uncle's house near 29 Stumps, California (I live in Arkansas).
He placed the radiator in the front, and we put 4 fans (all 120mm) on the side, 3 on top, 1 in the back, and 1 on the bottom. All of the fans suck air in, and the three fans on the radiator blow it out. The fan on the bottom blows out as well. The idea is to force air through the radiator and keep dust out through positive pressure. It is my first water-cooled system, and I prefer air-cooled, but my Uncle said that the case design and CPU would benefit from a water-cooler, and if I bought a pre-made system, the chance of leaking would be reduced considerably.
I am not much of a gamer, but I edit videos and audio, and I use R-Studio to work with large data sets (graduate political science - survey data). If I ever need to go to a full workstation and move to twin Xenon processors, this is the case for the job. Later, I might add the secondary system to run my emulators while waiting for the beast to process my data. I might play some FF6 while trying to study the voting habits of tall, one-lagged, evangelical plumbers in the Columbus, Ohio, area.
    System Specifications:
