Don't forget to find your local rescue group. I run a network of volunteer-based off-road recovery groups on Facebook. Search your state's name with 4X4 RESCUE at the end.
If you don't use Facebook go to offroadportal.org and they can network on your behalf.
Lastly, show some love to another TH-cam channel called Alpine Redneck Rescue. He's also a Rhino Ambassador.
I just want to say that this community is awesome!
I found this video the other day when trying to figure out how to get my vehicle unstuck (made it much worse 😅) & when I saw that there are local FB groups I went & found mine. Within an hour of posting my predicament there were 2 couples that came out & helped me get out. Seriously such a breath of fresh air. So kind, so generous.
When I had posted the same thing in my local community’s FB group I was just mocked & the comments were mean - after dozens of comments not a single person offered to help.
So thank you so much to the 4x4 Rescue group 🙏🏼 We need more people like this. So glad to know some people still have a sense of community ❤
Awesome
Love this. This channel can blow up like matts off road recovery. We need a west coast channel!
You guys are life savers !!! I use to work for a tow company in Chicago and I loved helping people sometimes we’d work for 2 days straight no sleep, and our guys never over charged of course this was their livelihoods so the had to charge but never overcharged like several would do during a crisis. Keep up the awesome work and the great videos !!! 👍❤️☃️
But any charge more than 0 is a overcharge vs this channel.
Helping people is fun!
I live in Placerville. But I used to live out that way. I loved wheeling up there and getting folks unstuck. GPS has screwed over so many people out that way. lol. You guys have beautiful rigs. We are more rock crawling guys.
They use to have a sign at the bottom by the lake saying “Your GPS is Wrong” closed road. But city slickers would still drive around it and get stuck. They don’t plow Mormon immigrant and the snow is at least 10 feet deep right now.
Just bought your RHINO kinetic recovery rope a few months back. Will also be using it for roadside rescue as the snow starts to fall here in Indy!
I know you're doing a nice thing and helping people, but it also looks like fun!
Looks like my kind of weather. I grew up in Buffalo, NY. I liked this video because you demonstrated how a winch can come in handy. When I was in the Army we did a course with Rod Hall off-road racing school and they showed us all kinds of vehicle recovery techniques. We also did a 1000 miles in our GMV's on the southern border.
Awesome job Wes. Y'all had/have your hands full with all that snow mayhem.
Funny, there’s a neighborhood just 2 miles from where you are. Locals have no problem, but the locals have the correct tires and or vehicles. 👍
This is the stuff I love doing, I live in Colorado and after snow storm love driving around pulling out vehicles. I just wish I had the money for a winch and all that stuff to make it easier, one day I'll afford that stuff and do bigger recoveries
Little by little 👍
Incredible… I watch your videos from Argentina…
Wes I am a subscriber to both channels I love your videos snow wheeling is always fun to watch you guys are the best
I need to put out an RC video soon, just been busy with all this crazy weather
Super cool of you guys, nice rigs too. ✌️🇺🇸
Your rescue are great .Your green jeep is the best
I love the snow wheeling but it's very unpredictable fun though.
Great recovery!
Nice recovery
Always love watchinfg the vids. Keep it up
Appreciate it!
i know that blue jeep license plate gives it away every time he used to come out with our subaru groups all the time he used to have the same one but red a while back
Yup, I tagged along on one of those runs a few years ago. Was it the mountaintroo group?
@@4x4rescue74 yes srrr was it the jolly boys run??
It was a signal peak run
@@4x4rescue74 I was there the night trip right I almost got blown off the mountain
I have the 4x4 rescue sticker on the back of my commander!
I would have pulled the white truck backwards so you didn't have to pull thru all the snow built up in front of him and you could have done that without closing the road.
I had them tires on my Tahoe! They were hot ass !
Looks fun!
I drive garbage truck for a living and with the tire the company puts on the truck blizzards like that gives me anxiety😂
Seatbelt! 🤣
When you use your winch, do you just have your transmission in park? Seems like a lot of force for that.
Usually in park or neutral with my foot on the brake and ebrake on. Most of the time I use an anchor so there’s no pressure on the trans
Do your tyres have sipes and studs? And off road tyres. Would non studded Blizzaks work in this weather?
They would work on the roads but not when it’s 2-6’ deep. At that point you need larger and wider tires that are aired down low. You have to float and stay on top. But yeah, if it’s just on icy roads studs would help
@@4x4rescue74 See that's interesting here in Europe they say thin tyres like a Fiat Panda 4x4 is the best not wide sports tyres. In the world rally they use thin tyres for snow. I understand tyre pressures low like 5psi like Matt's off road recovery I visited him and Ed
Wow your buddy was stuck stuck lol
Which camera yall use?
CJ3A
Missed footage
Boo
I know it, didn’t get any unfortunately
Looks like that Tahoe is rear wheel drive only?
He literally says it in the video
Stopla syndrome is alive and well thirty years later!
You need the rope that matt offroad used !
We make our own ropes…lol
Bo how do u put it on a controll rm
Great video! Looks like you're having way too much fun playing in the snow. Do you air down when driving on snow-covered paved roads and, if so, how low would you recommend on non-bead lock tires?
We usually air down, depends on the weight of the vehicle and brand of the tire. Most of the time 10-12 is ideal for non bead locks
@@4x4rescue74
I haven't seen you use chocks. Do you use them? What if you've got nothing to anchor to on a heavy pull?
How do you like these bf goodrich tire in snow?
They’re solid
What strobes are in your jeeps wheel wells? They look blue and red from the camera
Redeemed LED, I can run 4 different colors and sequences at the same time
Why is nobody use tier chains?
why control arm wouldn't that bend it or damage it why not the frame
I’ve never had an issues with control arms
what type of tires do u run?
37” BFG KM3
@@4x4rescue74In your experience do you think an m/t such as a km3 provides better winter traction than a snow flake rated tire like the falken wildpeak? I’m want to set my trd Tacoma offroad to do recoveries soon. Just want the best setup I can get
What tires are you running ?
In this video they’re 37” BFG KM3
how do you get paid if you rescue vehicles for free? does the local council or government pay you?
We just do it for fun. After years and years I figured out a way to cover my expenses and still not charge the person.
Is this in texas?
Northern California
1st.
Don’t let people run over your winch line.
Where is this?
Pollock Pines, just under Lake Tahoe in Northern California
👍
You guys help those all car & suv for free please let me know
Yea
Guys please do not jerk on a tow straps as it is Dangerous tobe used that way - Buy A Kinetic Tow Rope - 3/4" inch dia or bigger - Line up as straight as you can each time to transfer all the momentum/power.
Dude.. that’s a kinetic rope..lol
@@4x4rescue74the white f150 you pulled with a kinetic rope before winching?? There’s no way
Shit happens😜
wtf dude is revving it in neutral trying to get out. Some pro
I absolutely love this! I try and do my best whenever I'm out wheeling to help anyone. Have you guys heard of or checked out the Gambler500? Your guys skills could be wildly useful with them!
We sponsor some of their events with Rhino gear
@@4x4rescue74 that's awesome!
Helping foreigners that are taking American jobs.
Should've done your Patriotic duty and helped them down the mountain the fast way.
😝🤨🥳😱👎
everyone is a copy cat
Hope you’re not talking about me? I’ve been doing recoveries longer than most. I started my first Facebook rescue group over 10 years ago. Been wheeling and getting stuck since I was knee high.
