    Depending on the wood, I sometimes halve the power, double the speed and run it twice. It helps to lower any smoke smudging. The machine is so fast it hardly matters.

    I use my F1 much more than the D1 Pro simply because it is so quick to setup small jobs. I liked how you centered the "butter". Thanks for all of your content, informative and entertaining!

      It is very simple for smaller things. Thanks, you learn to adapt to the conditions... lol

    Great demo. Just got my F1. Thinking you might have popped the base plate out for the butter board and set the F1 on top, but once again you did an awesome job! Thanks for the demo!

      That would have required me to mark the location for alignment. I was just cheating by sliding it over... lol

    I think the Butter one is a lid for the Butter Container, which is why the smaller side is on the bottom, it fits inside the container.

      Makes sense…lol. I was thinking it has a glass cover over the top…lol

    It's nice to have different tools to fit varied jobs.

    Hittin' the galvo's pretty hard. I like this machine. It was between it and the Laser Pecker 4 for me. Went with LP4 for the slightly larger engraving area. Very similar otherwise.

      Galvo machines do bring some advantages.

    Another great video! I always learn new stuff with your videos (even though I don’t have the F1).

    I am hoping you’ll understand what I see in the F1. The extension bed is a work of genius. I’ve had no need of the rotary yet but I need to practice.

    Acacia wood engraves really nicely but the tranaition on glued boards can alter the darkness a bit. I try to avoid engraving on sapwood and heartwood with the same graphic

      PS the reason it moved so much on vertical and horizontal allign is becauase you changed the text size after you centered it. Still i dont trust the nodes blindly

      Yea, when it offers to snap in different locations, that is a clue... lol. I always double check, can't bring it back.

    I use my F1 more than my D1 Pro and MonPort 40 put together. I’ve used it so much that the filter box needs to be replaced. Since I don’t have the money to buy a new one. I went to Menards and purchased a big pad filter and charcoal filter and left them folded up and put the charcoal on the bottom and the white filter on the top. I don’t smell anything but the white filter has been used quite a bit. I will be using these filters until I can get a new box filter.
    If you can come up with any ideas for the F1. I’ll be happy to purchase a few more designs.
    The smallest pieces I have engraved could in no way be done with any other engraver other than those with the use of a camera. I’ve engraved as small as 1/8” wide. I love being able to engrave small pieces.

      Question. You say you have done tons of projects, yet you can't afford to change out a part. Can you turn a profit using these machines after paying your overhead?

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@michaelmcclellan9422 I don’t recall saying that I can’t AFFORD to replace it. Increase profits by reducing costs.

      @@TheClackShack I was commenting on Daballoon guy. He said he didn't have the money to replace the filter box.

      Daballoon guy indicated he had at least 3 machines and had made lots of things. It made me wonder if he charges enough or if he does it as a hobby. If he has 3 machines running full time and can't afford maintenance, it concerns me if this is a viable business.

    Im thinking one of these would be nice for doing custom stuff at shows.

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It would be for the smaller engraves. You can sit on on an item and engrave through the bottom if needed.

    Great Content, just getting into the Laser Engravers so I appreciate seeing how you do the overview setups and seeing the finished products. How does the xTool F1 compare to the Longer Nano Pro that you reviewed?

    • @TheClackShack
      @TheClackShack  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The blue laser is similar, the F1 does have the IR also. The F1 may be a bit higher resolution
