The dual density design was only for the pre-production version. The sponge that they ended up selling is the exact same foam on both sides. Its 2 different colors to help you keep track of where you've been.
Good video. Replaced my waffle weaves with the liquid8r and like it better. They’ve now been downgraded to inside window towels as they’ve lost their absorbency.
@@BelLavoroAutoSpa Thanks for the reply! Typically I use 6 -8 mf towels when doing rinseless. What's the difference of washing 6 towels or 12, for me it means nothing...
@@hartlanddetailer5670Personally I found that microfibers get super annoying to use when soaked in solution. They don't want to stay folded and turn into a ball, for that method I'd rather an autofiber flip.
I'm looking for a new sprayer, every youtube seem to recommend the IK sprayer. I've had it for a year and the inner pump tube is already clogged. I saw that youre using a itisll pump, how do you like it and have you tried their 1 gal pump sprayers? I'm thinking about giving those a try just for spraying down the car just to apply the rinseless wash.
It's a cheap sprayer and does the job. I've had this for almost 4 years now. I only see a point in spending money on foamers. I have the IK Foam Pro 12+ for that. For a 1 gallon sprayer I have a battery powered ryobi.
I'm not sure how I feel about DIY Rinseless yet. I was using P&S Absolute before and have only used DIY a few times so far. It doesn't feel as slick and doesn't have that slickness and shine that Absolute does.

yea nick filled me in
Dude! This just made me
So happy to know I can now foam with my rinseless.

"just like if you're washing your car..cause you are":) close enough
good vid...ive been contemplating that sponge or the gold mckees version
I love the DIY rinseless, amazing cleaning power!
I’m hoping their legacy sponge is in stock for Black Friday sale
FYI, to get the most out of the solution, I like to use the Garry Dean Method when using a rinseless. Thanks for the video...
That is a popular choice, I just don't like having to go through so many towels so quickly. I used to use the mitt, but the sponge works very well!

@@hartlanddetailer5670 Just for sake of not using too much detergent or raising my water bill by using towels and having to wash them so frequently.

is the legacy really any better then the ultra black? or just Yvan's way to sell the same thing under the DIY detail brand?
I think they are very similar
Does it feel slick when wiping dry? I'd imagine drying aids would still be much slicker.
It feels slick but yes drying aids would make things slicker
DIY is not slick.
Is this method good on ceramic coated cars?
Yes it's even better when your car is coated

It cleans much better. My paint is highly polished and coated so shine can't get any better than that.
@@BelLavoroAutoSpa I def noticed it cleans better, just doesn’t feel as slick under the sponge to me.
@DerekNewyen yea maybe not, but it's still plenty slick and does the job well.
When I run out of my ONR, I am planning on buying Absolute?
DIY isn't the slickest. Absolute makes my car look more glossy than DIY. Try Carpro's ech20 its a great rinseless.
