Great comparison, and your conclusion hit the mark. Buy either one, you can't go wrong. I say buy both, and use both. Go through the entire bottle of each and see what works best for you and your situation. When its time to buy another, make your choice or keep switching it up.
I'm a one woman man, but variety is the spice of life. Marry your wife, not your detailing products. I was in a long term relationship with ONR, but I kept looking for different action on the side. Now I'm in that LTR with Absolute, but I'm still on the lookout for a chick that spices it up once in awhile.

Excellent. It looks DIY’s unique combo of polymers, emulsifiers, and surfactants does live up to the claims. Yvan has said it’s only been possible within the last year or 2 to have special surfactants available that can live happily with the polymers in solution. The surfactants are supposed to boost cleaning power over a traditional polymer-only rinseless washes.

My first rinseless was DIY’s and I love it, it changed my whole detailing process. A couple months ago I bought some Absolute and it works great I feel like it leaves a slicker feel but I think diy cleans a tad bit better. I will always have both on hand and use whichever one I feel like that day. Just ordered K.C’s Rapid rinseless and I’m super excited to try that once it arrives

With regard to absolute, given it’s only benefit over ONR is it’s slicker doesn’t win me over, it doesn’t mix as easily.
To counter that argument, ONR has a record of being safe and not scratching, why does it need to be slicker, so no real gains.
As for DIY detail, never tried it.

    • @Ecdetails

Absolute mixes just fine. It doesn’t completely dissolve, it’s not supposed to. It kind of hangs in suspension due to the chemistry. Just give it a good swirl and get into it. If there is a little floating it’s fine.

For Pro-Blend Proportioner Fans - Use the CarPro Measure Proportioner w/Absolute

Ur right both are awesome. I tried absolute first and was in love until I met DIY! I do think absolute is slicker but it’s hard to mix and is chunky. DIY is the knockout combo it cleans, pulls the dirt, and it’s slick! I love how it just disappears the dirt off my sponge and u can foam it?! That’s a BA rinseless! I do like to use absolute after a wash on my windshield. I don’t even need wipers with that stuff. Great video. Boss content and ur fun to listen too. Hope everything went ok with ur wife. Finally got around to trying Absolute and I'm not a fan. Slickness was good, but that was about it for me. It was kind of chunky coming out of the bottle. Reminded me of when I used my Duragloss rinseless after it had been sitting for a while. Difference is it was still a little chunky after swirling it around in the bucket. I still need to get my hands on DIY, but not in a rush. I have too many rinseless products to go through. Right now using the new version of Gloss Shop Sublime and really liking it. It's cleaning the salt off the car easily and I can also use it to clean the wheels at the same rinseless dilution. Makes it very economical as well. My all time favorite is still Feynlab rinseless. I use it at a 1:384 ratio and it cleans like crazy. Brake dust just melts off when it spray it on the wheels. It will even foam a little if you want that.

I tried a comparison again between the two... and my nutshell would be that DIY cleans better overall and Absolute is just a nice sensory experience, and is hyper slick, lots of gloss. The sponge i think does more of the work and Absolute is there just for cushion, where DIY breaks down dirt and oil better in combo with the wash media. Basically.... DIY if you really want to clean and a restore the original finish; Absolute if you want slickness and gloss but you're maintenance washing a protected car with light dirt/dust levels. DIY better all arounder, Absolute for special occasions. IF DIY was slicker than Absolute.... that's all I'd use.

      Decon/ tar
      Spray off
      Spray rinseless on and dry
      Or

I have a question about that proportioner you had on the diy gallon. When I go to pour it, making sure not to squeeze the bottle, it keeps filling and messes up my dilutions. Is that normal?

    • @Ecdetails

I feel with that type of comparison it would not be quite as unique and difficult to be able to see spots that might be missed.
