I loved this video. So many shows and videos show the high end activities which are of course, the most expensive. It's nice to see something a bit more basic which has the added bonus of seeing how the bulk of the local people live. Thanks Ethan.

The people are so nice and and there is so much to see. 2 years ago i went to Bangkok for a couple of days and then flew to Ragnong (Spelling) then took a boat to a little island called Ko Phyam and stayed the cutest little hut on the water that had a hammock In the trees that i could takes naps in. On the way home I had a layover in Shanghai china and was able to explore the mall and water front. Love it!!!

My massage in the San Francisco Bay area would cost me $75 USD per "hour" , and their hour meant 45 minutes. Here I get a 2-hour massage for $12 USD, and it is a full 120 minutes. 🥰 Getting these every two weeks keeps the body supple and energized capable of dealing with almost anything. 💖

I've been to Bangkok several times, but don't like the crowded streets, the heavy traffic, and pollution. Plus, it's always HOT! However, I've ventured to such places as Pattaya and Phuket and enjoyed those immensely. I do love the massages. I'd switch from one day getting a foot massage with a basic arm, neck, shoulders massage added on and then the next day I'd get a body massage. I've tried the Thai massage, but that was always so painful, so I switched to the slightly more expensive oil massage. Yes, I'd have to take my clothes off but they always had a shower room where I could wash all the oil off and feel doubly refreshed afterward.

My favorite thai dishes are pad moo krob (stir fried pork belly and chinese broccoli) and pad kee mao (drunken noodles - like pad see ew but spicy). Oooh and som tom pla ra (fermented crab papaya salad). Street food is def the way to go. Once I got an iced tea at the mall and it was like 250 baht and im like gahhh dayum. Grab is also a great way to order takeout and allows you to google translate before hand if you don't speak thai very good.
