debating between Shez, Felix and Dedue who I should have put for the intense love. but i think the description suits dedue the most. Dimitri literally went mad when he lost Dedue...and the new game shows even more proof of how even deeper their bond is.
this had been in my WIPs for so long so now I got new dedue cutscenes, I could finish it.

Right now, I think Im at the unconditional love stage. I’ve been with my partner for 3 years now (July 11th 2022). As of this day, Im at the time of my life where nothing feels right. Im working an 8 hour job, exposing myself constantly to covid. Wearing my mask, getting up at early hours to try and make money for college and things I want. I live in a home where Im constantly resented (my partner and I are not able to live together at this time due to a group home they live in and I have to become their main caretaker). I always SOMEHOW take my anger and resentment out on my partner even though I have other ways of dealing with it. You know what though? My partner just smiles and hugs me, every time. We always talk it out and when I get the help I need and I’m able to get the right amount of money. Even if our relationship gets outlawed again, I will give them the wedding of their dreams.

They did Dimileth dirty in the new game ngl. Really wish we had romance options or at least supports between the lords and Byleth if recruited.
I think choosing Dedue for intense love was right.

I'd go with Felix for 2nd. I feel like Dedue is too much of a stable presence - with Felix it would go from the highest of the high to the lowest of the low and cause so much pain. With Dedue it only works if Dimitri thinks he died, with Felix that's just how their relationship is for the longest time.
But still, this is fantastic and fits Dimitri so well!
I get what you're saying. Dedue can still turn himself into a Demonic Beast in CF though, if he's not defeated him in time.

I love how they looks to each other, dudue and dimitri had a moment of respect , edelgard and dimitri had a very sweet moment
Edelgard being Dimitri’s “puppy love” fits my head canon. Dimitri clearly had some sort of romantic feelings for Edelgard, so I don’t think they should be dismissed. Then we see that love fade over time due to absence and the knowledge that she was his step-sister, and it vanishes for good once his image of her shatters and he becomes horribly disillusioned. Edelgard may have been his first love, but back when he didn’t know any better. It didn’t last and was never meant to be permanent. Byleth showed him what *real* love is like.
I mean, it's not true of everyone, to be sure, but I can definitely see that being true for many.
I imagine this wasn't intentional; the voice was kind of strange. Still, I think every moment was fitting.

I don’t really think of she’s being dimitris love interest but more of a friend Dimileth and Dimitri and dedue had more chemistry
