Every type NEEDS the criticism. The internet is an echo chamber of fluffy, sugar-coated ideas about the types, and no one can grow with that.

I've noticed as an INFJ I seem to enjoy being around those people everyone else sees as "unworthy". They are too crazy, too weird. Well, I love them and I've come to realize they are the ENFPs. Their weirdness, to me is quite refreshing. I feel like I don't have to prove myself to them or prove to them I'm "normal". We just imediately understand each other which saves a ton of time and awkwardsness. This makes me miss my dear ENFP, long time friend, I think I need to go visit him. Thanks for making me aware of that.

Idec about mbti, if you're weird, you're my buddy from this day on. Whether they're enfp, entp, intp, estp, istp, esfp, etc., as long as they're respectful, and weird, they're welcomed into my arms!!

I dated an enfp once. She was way too extraverted for me. I just wanted to spend time with her, but all she wanted to do was to get me to spend time with her in a group. I guess she wanted to show me off in a way because she cares about status. She would try to get me to join group video calls with a bunch of people I have never met all the time. It was just exhausting. For some reason I just didn't like her in a romantic way. Kinda wierd considering it's supposed to be the golden pair for me and the affection relationship, which is something I want the most out of a relationship.

It shouldn't be a mystery why INFJ, INTJ, INTP etc have the largest presence for MBTI typing/content.
They are the rarest types, of all people? They constantly are reminded by the world at large of how different they are. On top of that they're internally focused. So where the outward focused and less rare crowds constantly see themselves represented in the world around them? Thus not needing to figure out "why they are different" or anything?
The rarer and internally focused types do. And they find eachother online. What, you expected a bunch of extroverts to sit at their computer, alone in their room, researching MBTI? When they would rather be going out and interacting with other people who are like them?

  • @susmateja
    @susmateja ปีที่แล้ว +12

ENFP - omg, I like you so much!!
INTJ - plenty of topics to discuss, but can't help finding your intentions suspicious
ISTP - please teach me stuff!
ISFP - the more I know you, the less I understand you
ENTJ - why would I ever do this to myself...
ISFJ - there is such a thing as too nice... but very helpful!
ISTJ - first impression: great, interesting, funny; second impression: coward
ENTP - somehow you make me do things I would never do (or even entertain the idea of it) otherwise
INFJ - always nice to meet a fellow delusionist, you're basically me 10 years ago
ESTJ - don't know how to act around you exactly, but I don't dislike you
ESFJ - you're my friend, I want to help you see your needs for once
ESTP - stay at a distance please
INTP - you're smart, but seem inaccessible
ESFP - first impression: over the top; second impression: like you a lot in the absence of a group
INFP - 1 hour together: very enjoyable; more than 1 hour: no
ENFJ - would gladly be your friend, but refuse to serve as your audience
update a year later: I got to know more intps-s and fell in love with an intp, had no idea they were so awesome!

LOVE you C.S. for cutting the "infj magical unicorn" - crap! Thank you for calling us thinkers :) As what goes for my experience on connection with NFP types, I observe the same dynamics develop over time: The relationship seem intriguing in the beginning, in the longer run I end up being exhausted by counseling their chronic feeling process. Even more frustrating is that they seem to project a similar feeling process on to me. My preferred types are definitely the NTs - with their ability to think out of the box - with logos :)

I'm super grateful that you pointed out that a Camaraderie romance can work! I've been burned BAD by INFP and ENFP relationships. Yes, those relationships were super easy to start--but they crashed and burned in incredibly painful ways (FP's are masters at making INFJ's feel guilty). I'm currently in a romantic relationship with an Enfj, and I love the stability of it. She's not as "exciting" as as the ENFP dream girl in my head--but she's LOYAL. She's REAL. And she tells me that I'm the answer to her prayers (perfect way to stroke an INFJ ego!). Also, she loves having me improve her! Everyone else hates it when I try to improve them, but my girlfriend just drinks it up! It was really hard for us to be interested in each other at first--but after a few years, we finally discovered how awesome we are for each other ❤️

Omg! You described my romantic life just perfectly. Married an ENFP - divorced 8 years later, too egoistic and punishing and guilt manipulated me a lot. Then...comes "the love of my life" the INFP...magnetism, soul connection, deep discutions, everything perfect until it wasn't. Manipulative behaviour, in need of healing (i naively thought my "unconditional" love will save him)...broke my heart into million pieces. Now comes my beautiful down to earth ENFJ...he is also a dreamer but in a practical way. Also says i am the woman of his dreams (my infj ego stroke, great!), also is happy to learn from me...he is my best supporter. In a relationship for a year allready, never ever had a single serious fight. I love the stability and the healthy relationship we created together. An ENFJ man is heaven for an INFJ woman. And i stand my point!

I'm an INFJ woman and my husband is and ENFP. We've been together 20 years, since we were 18, married 17 years, and we have 6 children. You described our relationship SO well. It's not always easy, but we always say that we've been very blessed to have found each other. We encourage and push each other to grow. I laughed at the point where you stated that the INFJ aren't good/don't like making plans, but they are good at executing them. This is where I'm so glad my ENFP husband loves making plans for trips/activities. Once he makes the plans, I'm in charge of getting everything ready and implementing.

We had an immediate connection and although i'm very sensitive and deep and he is a little more surfaced and aggressive and opinionated, I feel that we share so much in common and can meet on all grounds and the communication Is wonderful even if we have a minor argument we are always able to squash it rather quick. But at the same time I have cried many nights reading about the bad experiences some INFJs have had with their ESTJs.. I dont know what to do and what to believe? Is it possible that this could work if we both are mature enough or should I just run away before I go too far..? What's your opinion and would you have any tips for your fellow INFJ 🙂? Hugs

@@mermaidmary1332 Hi! I will tell you about my experience (Infj) with my current boyfriend (estj).
I, too, was very unsure about the relationship since almost everyone seems to see it as doomed from the start. That the ESTJ is too aggressive, too harsh, too unempathetic, and so on. I have doubted my own feelings, thought it was only working because I adapted to him too much or was playing a role that wasn't myself - only because of some mbti-statements. But I trust C.S. Joseph very much in his judgments! This video was such a relief for me and now it makes sense why I love my relationship so so so much.
The ESTJ makes me feel secure, sane, and loved. Never EVER have I doubted his loyalty, he never gave me a reason to believe that he could be cheating on me. He is so healthy, productive, and successful in life that I immediately improved for the better as well. Although I will not always follow his rules, I like to follow his routine, his tips for studying, his healthy diet. He listens very closely to my judgments about his co-workers, friends, and family and comes to me for advice if someone is sharing their feelings with him. And he is very eager to work on the relationship when I communicate problems. Overall I can just state that we are improving and helping each other nonstop.
Yes, we do have difficulties and if that interests you, I will tell you more about it. But please do not mistrust your intuition when you feel like you love your ESTJ partner.

I wish there were more information out there about how pleasant the ESTJ/ INFJ relationship can be. The nice thing about my ESTJ hubby is that his love and loyalty has grown deeper by the day. It’s been five years and we are still passionate towards each other. We love being close. I love to listen to him tell stories about growing up. He is so animated! • @klarawinterain6101
      @klarawinterain6101 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Give future INFJs a chance! Until they/we are more at ease with ourselves it also happens a lot that people say they want to know this and that and all kinds of advice and then they actually didn't want it and then "we" see how they saw it as a personal mean attack and that hurts us because it means we're getting misjudged and the connection/friendship is severely harmed. Then we (even though it's difficult because we were actually being misjudged) try to restore the peace and go back to zero with this friend and... then they think we're not only mean but also weak and us being kind after the fight is a confirmation of us being wrong to such friends. And yes, friends. Even though I had to leave a few close friends behind due to this, they're still friends, just not compatible I would say. At least when the misunderstandings were that extreme and a regular thing. Now the more mature wiser thing is to pick up on people's belief systems right from the start and to understand which not so true truths they need in their lives to stay sane. But that's more implicit/intuitive. Not a thinking process and so I'm naturally not letting such people so close and/or they are not intrigued by me anymore. But it's good to read how that is like on the other end. Thx for being so open.

RavishingTwinkle I can’t stand the ISTJ Te, it makes an ISTJ friend I have insist upon me to show my work (or inner thought process) for THEIR Te, I can’t stand doing it, however; to make things move along I oblige. It’s really silly, I’m smarter than him but still have to show my work around him or he just thinks I’m stupid. Has no idea that I think internally. And holy cowt the lack of empathy is annoying on top of their Si-Te focus. Very cancerous to Ni-Fe-Ti. I’m future looking he looks at the past more. I can understand his way of thinking, but he just doesn’t want to see my way and it sucks because we have soo much to learn from each other. Well developed ISTJ can really help us INFJ grow because we're very different and they have things we don't. If you want an ISTJ that empathizes just keep it simple and find an ISFJ. Me and my ISFJ work buddy perceive things totally different, but after we’re done collecting our information, we process with Fe-Ti and usually get matching answers. It’s sooo awesome to learn and strengthen my weaknesses through ISFJ friendship. ISTJs, yall need to understand that Te is such a drag and annoyance for Ti. ISFJ and ISTJ have poor intuition and it's readily apparent; my ISTJ buddy doesn’t even realize that in himself. He clearly attaches to me because I have gifts he wants, to fill his weaknesses, but because he’s such a shitty person I don’t let him have what I have to make him better. ISTJs can go screw themselves

I actually dated an ESTP years ago for about 10 years. We never actually got seriously mad at each other, but it was like constantly dueling. He was constantly delegating all the responsibilities to me to fix all the messes he got himself into. I never accused him of cheating but it turned out that he did end up cheating and living double lives with 2 families. He always thought I was dumb about physical work and fixing things and I always saw him as clueless when it comes to life decisions and priorities. The two best relationships I've had were actually ENFPs. It was like they'd know how I felt and how to treat me just looking at me at that moment.

You’d be surprised how well an INFJ gets along with an ISTJ. Before, I was advised to avoid close ISTJ relationships, but it’s not difficult to get along with them. A good portion of what the popular TH-camr INFJs say is not accurate or not even relevant to functions, which I am now realizing.

Clicked with an ENFP (INFJ) recently and came directly to these videos on compatibility. Just so there are any skeptics or newbies. This content is brilliant, dependable, and accurate.
It's so cool to learn that we do not all have to "click" naturally we are drawn to specific types based on our own psyche, that removes the burden of accommodating certain types.

I've just seen a couple of your videos and I'm truly amazed by your knowledge, not only concerning my type (INFJ) but all of them. It's fairly often spot on, and the examples are fun on top, I laughed a lot watching the videos.
You really got me when you mentioned the Ghost in the Shell song Inner Universe - I've always wondered why I'd love this trilingual cyberpunk song so much. Well, it's probably... my mind in the form of music... I guess :-) I love to play it at full blast, just letting my mind float in it...
Thank you for all of this content. As someone who has discovered the MBTI quite recently (in my early 40s), I find it truly useful, sometimes tough, but eye-opening really.

im an infj in love with an istp... i think it works bc i was with an infp for a long time and essentially got that out of my system lol, so i dont need him to be metaphysical with me, i figured it all out and now it feels so fresh to absorb extraverted sensing energy... i can learn how to improve my most inferior function by being around him, and help him sort out his emotional issues he has no clue how to work through. also, the combination of my insight and idealism and his productivity in the present moment is the perfect formula for making amazing things happen. im the artist, hes the artisan/handyman/inventor, basically he helps me implement my ideas!

I’m so happy for you! My experience was different, Chase was on point regarding my situation,
I’m an INFJ who was in a long distance relationship with an ISTP for 3 years.. I was fascinated by his Ti/Se. He was attracted to me physically, spiritually and mentally. Unfortunately, he became extremely paranoid and was always accusing me of cheating.
He didn’t want me to put on makeup ,dress up or go out after dark. He said that he didn’t understand why pretty women needed all that extra attention.
He said that he was always on me because I was one of the good girls and he didn’t want me to change into something bad. I loved him so much and tried to do everything he asked of me to a certain degree. Even so, he would be nice one moment and then flip out all of a sudden. I knew I was being stupid for allowing him to bring such turbulence into my life but I still kept trying to figure out a plan that would make things better.
He started noticing that my SE was not something that I could have on all the time. I’d naturally flow into Ni. He would tell me to stop staring at him. He’d say, watch where you’re going, and you need to be more aware of your surroundings!
It was such a stressful relationship. He always called me a liar and would do pop up visits to try to catch me in a lie.
One time he accused me of going to see a movie with another guy because I predicted certain parts that were going to happen when we were at the theater.
.By the way, he is a cop who enjoys riding a motorcycle and driving big trucks. I like his masculine vibe. I was fascinated with the things he tried teaching me such as holding a weapon and other skills cops used to catch bad guys. I like hearing his stories. My curiosity kept me interested in what more I could learn from him.
I kept idealizing the relationship while he kept trying to control me. We yelled at each other so much that I was always crying.
I’ always explained to myself that I was in a great relationship that I could learn from.
To be honest, he is the one that ended up breaking up with me and it broke my heart, That’s how messed up I was, I just kept trying to make him comfortable and telling myself that things would get better. After he left me, I saw the light and allowed my friends to come back into my life that he’d convinced me to get rid of. They all knew that he was terrible for me and he didn’t want me hearing what they had to say,
For awhile I asked him to come back reminding him that he was supposed to be my friend for life. He said that people can change their minds. I said okay and finally let go. I door slammed him and moved on to better things. He tried to come back into my life afterwards but easily, I blocked his tail, He will never be able to come into my life again. I can attest that what Chase said has validity.
If I had known that I was an INFJ at that time, I would have had an idea why things were not working. It took me the longest to learn my true type,
It’s nice to know that you’re getting what you need out of your ISTP/ INFJ romance but please know, that some of the things that Chase said about this relationship is spot on. Plus when you add the fact that narcissists somehow find a way to us INFJs, we gotta be super careful. All the best!

I enjoy your videos, I can learn so many different things from it, from the "actual lecture" to the quotes, idioms, music recommendations and philosophical talks, and you're quite funny.
I feel like when the INFJ gets familiar with the cognitive functions, they're the best at identifying which type is actually the best for them. we're idealists and we do a good job in projecting ourselves and the people around us in the future, so we do know who we will love and grow with forever, or more accurately, for the most time.

Love those first 10mins. And I’ll just put my 2 pennies here on that:
The type grid is fantastic. Very logical and sensible. One can make some simple observations on themselves or another person and quite quickly work out where the cognitive functions sit in the stack and then work out what type they are.
That said, it’s not just knowing the grid, it’s learning the functions and the attitudes of each of the cognitive spectra.
Yeah I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately.
The MBTI tests are total bs. I mean, I’ve tested a bunch of times and I’ve come out INFP, ENFP, INTP... and, these results have been TOTALLY worthless in practical terms.
Like Chase says, your 4 letters are just a title. The title has a whole lot of information encoded in it - BINGE ON THESE LECTURES.

Cognitive function wise, I agree with everything so far! I like to make things work and learn from others though so that I can get the most out of my interactions. I am proud to say that my friend group includes INFJ (me+another!), ENFP, INTP ENFJ, INFP, ESTP, ISTP and it gives this equilibrium of chaotic, fun, and sweet at the same time :-D My INFP friend is such a huge reason to why I developed healthier mindsets and strategies when it came to Ni-Ti loops etc, because talking to him really made me feel super embarrassed whenever he seemed so cool and positive when I vented to him, that eventually his words always ingrained in my mind and talking to others (especially ISTPs) was so much easier. The support of my ENTP brother is also why I'm able to be more communicative and confrontational at a cool and rational perspective. Because of my many and important friends, I have grown so much so quickly since the first days I've met them, that frequently I'll get the compliment of being inspirational and overall they tell me they are proud of me :-)

I am an infj (or at least I think so) and I totally agree. I always know someone is an enfp in the first few minutes of meeting them because it just automatically feels easy, natural, and fun to interact with them. That being said, my best friend is an isfp. Though it is one of the most meaningful relationships in my life, it has not been and is not easy or natural. It has taken a ton of work on my end and it feels like he is frequently unintentionally beating at my insecurities (I often have to remind myself that he's probably not doing it on purpose, even if that's what my brain is telling me), so it was interesting to see how low isfps are on your compatibility chart. I'd love a video that delves into the interaction of those two types.

Interesting, going to have to think about this one! Online high Fi users drive me bonkers. I know it’s unfair of me, but I can’t shake viewing many as selfish, hypocritical & overly sensitive. However that doesn’t hold true IRL. I have an INFP friend & I adore her, we get along so well. I’m generally pretty upbeat but when I’m not, it actually makes her giddy & she encourages me to embrace my grump like a Sith Lord trying to get me to the dark side AND I LOVE IT. I don’t ever feel guilty for having emotions around her. On the flip, she is always so worried about being a weirdo & I love encouraging her that her quirks are faaantastic.❤️ I get along very well with an ENFP too, her Fi doesn’t bug me at all. Maybe it’s just age as we’re all in our 30’s.
Overall, my favorites are high T users. I think I learn & grow the most from them.

I'm quite surprised that INTJ and INFJ's are not more compatible socially, as well as INTPs and INFJs. I have a brother and a guy friend that are INTJs and there seems to be a commonality between us. I'm not saying this as being prideful, but I know i am a little more developed than most humans, so that could be the reason (meaning, i get along with everyone's perspectives and really dig down deep within myself to solve it if a fight ever occurs). But the reason i'm stating this is because when I talk to an INTJ we can talk for hours and hours on end. I'm not sure if anyone else has this experience with them as an INFJ. We are both 5W4 which could possibly be the reason, if anyone believes in the enneagram affecting your life. This video actually makes so much sense, so thank you for making it. On a different note, for the longest time i've been questioning why many ESTJ guys like me . Not only that, but why our communication is so good, since i was going based off of intuition versus sensing. I am now really excited to see the Work and Sexual compatibility with ESTJs because in the past (even though things ended well, as have all of my relationships) my ESTJ partners kind of made me feel trapped, like they wanted a family and to settle down, whilst feeling as though I needed freedom and fun times. Therefore, I'm unsure other than friendshipwise if the compatibility lingers based upon your structured perspective. Anyways, in my own opinion, people are so complex that most people maybe aren't right romantically. Sorry if my writing jumps to points, keep up the good and hard work!

This video made me really appreciate how intelligent you are. Your elaboration on your mentor experience shed some light on my one ENTP dating relationship. When you said that your entire life foundation was predicated upon lies, it hit me - that was exactly what was going on with my ENTP! So, maybe I've had the misfortune of encountering unhealthy/immature ENTPs? Cause, I gotta say, I'm kinda liking you in this video, sarcastic wit and all. I still think you should be a little gentler in the "Who are INFJs" video though. LOL ;-)
PS - Thank you for the incredibly thoughtful explanation of INFJ-ENFP. The closest person in my life is my cousin (an ENFP) and I in hers. It's been that way since childhood, even though we were apart for 20 years while we were each doing our thing and living life. When we got back together a couple of years ago, the relationship was as close as ever. That isn't to say that we don't frustrate each other from time to time - me with my Ti and her with her Fe? I'll have to ponder that more.

I find myself drawn to ISTJs for the mutual benefit we can bring each other. Dated an ESTP narcissist for 2.5 years and I have steeled myself. I seek growth from my romantic partners, and I value integrity and loyalty. My only fear with an ISTJ is that they will not be able to keep up with me after I mirror their workflow and become a literal force of nature.

I have to say I am really impressed and loved the way you explained things in such a clear way that makes sense. I look forward to diving into your back catalog of videos now. It also explains why I have always felt an affinity for ESTJs despite the normal protests of how awful they are in INFJ groups.

I’m an INFJ who married an ISTP, ask me how that went… lol. I just couldn’t get out of the stupid zone with him or make him see me as competent even though I put in a lot of care and effort to go above and beyond to do a good job in everything I did for him. I was able to admire the ways he was different than me but I didn’t get the same respect for my beliefs and strengths. Idk why I tried so hard to prove my worth to someone when I am already worthy of being loved and appreciated. That was painful and exhausting to say the least.

Could not agree more about the tests, and the fact that the letters are merely a representation of something much more complicated. I spent a lot of time in social media MBTI groups, and can tell you most INFJ in said groups are either mistyped, or too busy being unicorns to care to be educated. They also suppose every good quality of every type into themselves. I suspect most are mistyped ISFP but they refuse to believe it due to "sensor bias." They also talk on about how their best relationship ever was with fellow INFJs, haha. Most groups focus largely on traits and behavior, and not functions. Also, I laughed at "Twilight Sparkle (is that even a legit Little Pony?)." You must have daughters.

But the reason I’m seeking this on the internet is for a reason you already know, and speak of, we feel, apparently, “exceptionally misunderstood” which feels genuinely, self absorbed to even type, even if there is some truth to it. And I am in no way a dainty flower, so I appreciate you mentioning this, because while it is true that I feel this genuine empathy, it isn’t the same as pity, or sympathy. Those two seem to bring out the dainty, flowery types. They are pushovers, in a sense. And I was a pushover as a child, but it affected me deeply, the way I felt about myself, and the way I felt that this type of person, or behavior is so dysfunctional for the person being pushed over, and the ones doing the pushing. People ask for what they get, and so did I. I think INFJs have a line, and when it is crossed, at least speaking for myself, I get what it is I’m dealing with and sort of act according to what’s best for both of us. It isn’t best for someone needy, to be enabled. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone to enable this in me when I was this way. It certainly didn’t help me. What helped me was to take responsibility for my own behavior, and practice what I preached. If others can get by, so can I.

I'm not sure why ISTP is not the most compatible with INFJ. I haven't seen much on that compatiblity. I know a few that I had initially mistaken for extroverted intuitives because they are so loud and direct but they really follow my To explainations better than most, but after watching the ISTP videos I'm certain they are definitely ISTP.
After studying their functions and our interactions I've noticed we understand each other's Ti and Ni reasoning. We can have great insightful conversations that I've noticed they don't seem to have with other types. I love learning from their Se parent and they learn from my Fe parent. They seem to respect my Ni and Ti and I get theirs too. It's kind of an amusing interaction with them. I hear others say they are jerks, but they seem to act differently with INFJs, it's like they know we have Ti and Ni too and often just give a smirk without saying anything and we get it. My Ni is full of ideas I want to create but have trouble figuring out how to physically create them in real life. The ISTPs I know love the challenge of trying to create or build things from my ideas. It's like I aspire to improve my Se and they love teaching Se. ISTPs can ay tines be oblivious of how others feel but somehow can tell what I'm feeling just by looking at me. I would often take them aside to explain to them how others seem to be feeling or they shouldn't say something that way and they seem to really appreciate when I tell them. It's like they like my Fe parent teaching them Fe. When we're hanging out together it's like we're both learning, having fun and reading each other easily. I wonder if other types have a compatiblity where the parent functions teach the 4th function and hero and child are reversed. I get along well with ENFPs but they really don't follow my Ti like ISTPs do. Another thing is the ISTPs I know seem to question their own intelligence because although you can give them a pile of junk metal and they'll turn it into a car and be driving it next week, they don't typically do well in school. INFJs recognize their Ti and Ni intelligence and really admire their Se. It's like we tend to see each other as incredibly smart and useful in different way. They have been my most loyal long time friends that have never done anything wrong to me and never disrespected me in any way. It's a very interesting compatibility.

An an ENFP the INFJ im with, we actually met once as kids and met each other only 2 years ago as adults and we both like knew/felt we've met before but couldnt figure out how or where to save our lives until a couple days ago! It was exciting, and sparks flew instantly, however we're both tuburlant people mostly due to our upbrings and personsl experiences, him more so than I in all honesty. He was deep into the corruption vice when we reconnected and honestly we both realized we shouldnt have waited longer to be in a intimate relationship but that didnt happen unfortunately. I was doing my best to get him to take care of his psychical body, aka stop drinking a bottle of vodka every single day, and i realize now he interpted that as me not listening properly and trying to change him in a negstive way! Tbh when we reconnected it was like we had swapped personality types at that time. He was always wanting to party and feel good in every sense of the word, while i was ready to move in together, get married, and have a family, work out together, etc. We got into a BAD psychical altercation bc of these factors and others that I am not at liberty say. I had to leave him completely for a week or so in order to lick my wounds and process and evluate wheter this relationship heading in a postive direction or not. And funnily enough after i took that break is when he cut drinking out of his life as well as other bad habits from his life and now hes wanting to do more in life than even i ever have! We met up yesterday and today and it was like reconnecting again, but properly this time! Which is the forunate/unforuante part of being an ENFP we really do inspire change in other people, which is something ive kindof always over looked as a child, cause i didnt really see it as a good thing per say. But now i can see it can be and it is refreshing to finally have a man in my life that had the willpower, respect, and love for me to get things into motion and help me improve myself without making it sound like hes attacking me! I love him to death ❤ and i want to grow even more bc of him too!

Swampy weird you pair centrist with INFJ, because idealism means you bend far left. I was born INFJ so naturally very radical liberal most of my life, but had to grow from that as that path is riddled with chaos and utopian foolishness. I prefer more order and calm to keep my Ni-Ti at peace. I’m definitely more INTJ these days with more Te and learning more Fi, but I can’t deny what I am deep down on the inside, a damn idealistic INFJ. I still have these crazy big dream ideas, it’s just that Te users have beaten into me that I need to be a tad bit realistic sometimes too.

  • @locamoca4344

I find these lectures always interesting. As an INFJ myself I think the reason why we always flock to MBTI stuff is because we either want to relate to INFJ related stuff or we want to understand other types better.
As for the first point of TH-cam or people always portraying INFJs as some mysterious rare sparkle unicorns (or something on the lines of that). It does get pretty annoying, they always forget about how bad corrupt INFJs can be, example of two of the worst are Hitler and Osama Bin Laden. Idealistic types can be dangerous if they are corrupted since their ideals may not be good for the world but they think they are and if they get into a leadership position all hell breaks loose.
Now for my own personal relationships and experiences I typically stay away from any sensing types except for my two ISFP friends who I get along with well, the only thing is I have a hard time keeping up a conversation with them. Even if we have similar interests I don't know why I can never keep a conversation up with them unless someone else is there.
One of my good friends is an INFJ and we get along together a majority of the time, whenever we get on debates about things like politics and it gets heated (who doesn't get heated during debates about politics tho let's be honest) we apologise and don't let it get in the way of our friendship.
For INFPs my best friend is an INFP and so is my grandmother who I am very close with and share everything with. The only thing is that with both my best friend and grandma is we debate A LOT. I wouldn't call it exactly arguments (that's more of with my INFJ friend) but we debate a lot about our views since we're both idealistic. Instead of just banging my head against a wall trying to get my INFJ friend to understand my point of view and her doing the same, I can take in the point of view of my grandmother and best friend and they can do so as well. We may not agree with eachother's point of view but we can understand where we're coming from and respect it.
As for ENFPs I don't believe I know any or I'm just not close enough to them to tell.
As for INFJs being thinkers I agree, we value other's feelings but we also believe the truth is important and should not be ignored because it hurts your feelings.
