After my showroom review of the all new 2021 Ford Territory Titanium, Ford Philippines reached out to me and gave me an opportunity to drive the Ford Territory for the long weekend. In this test drive, I got to take the car around the metro, and I'm able to provide you with an in depth feel of what it's like to drive and own a 2021 Ford Territory Titanium. Unlike my other Filipino car review, here you get to ride in the passenger seat of the Territory Titanium as we go around the metro and discuss important stuff like the acceleration, handling, comfort, and fuel economy.
The Territory truly looks like a Range Rover Evoque, and has gotten a lot of stares during the 5 days it was with me. The tech features of the Ford territory truly made it easy for me to drive it around. The crossover is so comfortable, my miata felt so unrefined after the drive. The instrument panel and the layout is similar to the Mercedes Benz and Lexus crossovers, which is fantastic especially for it's 1.3M peso asking price.

I guess Chinese car manufacturers are breaking the rules. Putting all the car tech that usually the japanese and german car manufacturers reserved for their luxury cars. Panoramic sunroof, heated/cooled seats, 360 camera, 10" screen to name a few in a 1.299M car? While toyota sells us with a 2.3M fortuner with no back up camera and a downgraded infotaiment system. And their allies in car reviewing industry are trying to make the Ford Territory look bad just because it manages to put all the good thigs in a less expensive car. Japanese automakers should wake up & elevate their game.

I normally like how Reygan makes his reviews, except on this one. He seemed to be reviewing with a different car in mind. Instead of focusing on a family cross-over vehicle, he mentioned more and compared its performance against sports cars. Quite an odd choice of comparison between a family-oriented vehicle against a sports vehicle. He must not be in his right mind while doing this review. His review gave so much injustice to a very wonderful, feature-packed, well-priced Ford Territory. None can compete against it in its class, considering everything.
Very much true indeed, he even said it was more of a “female” car because the steering wheel is so light. I think this is a perfect car for city driving and occasional trip.
Another great review as always man! One of our members in the FT group posted this and I think this will help the people think twice about the CVT issue. And knowing you man, if you say it is ok, I believe you. Kudos to you as always! 👍

Is the 360 camera footage retrievable (to serve as video evidence) in case of traffic mishaps? For example another vehicle or motorbike accidenfaly hits your vehicle from the side or behind during a red light.
From what I saw from the other reviews, it does not record, but there is a power supply behind the rear view mirror so you can easily install a dash cam.

The titos would appreciate it if they start putting back 6-cd changers back in the cars. More than enough space in that trunk.
Nice comprehensive review sir. How was this car’s headlight performance at night? I’m used to performance hid projector retrofits. Funny but this is an important factor for me. More power to your channel!
It's as bright as HIDs, being LEDs. I use HIDs on my own cars as well and they are comparable.

Will be buying this soon for my parents as a gift but I am still sceptical on Ford's maintenace (reliability has been a long term rumor for Ford). Would you recommend this car?
The concern with Ford service before was parts cost, since most parts are sourced fron the US. However, region units (Everest, Ecosport, Ranger, Territory) would have parts sourced from the region and may be a bit cheaper.
Hi, Thanks for the review. I was hoping that you would actually test all the safety features the territory comes with. Namely the anti-colision system and adaptive cruise system.
It's tough to replicate the emergency braking feature, and I couldn't find a willing pedestrian volunteer.😄
@@ReygansRides balloons could work.. tall grass even triggers my smart city brake..unless ford has a different way of triggering it compared to mazda..
@@dornierserctajon8094 Thanks, I was informed that it may not trigger depending on the situation, so we decided against testing to due to lack of proper test venue.
@@ReygansRides i don't know with ford, but mazda safety is pretty consistent.. based on my experience so far.. it trigger this evening when i was backing to perform a 3 point turn.. i saw the motorcycle stopped(in the mirror) so i proceeded to back up only to find out he just stopped for a bit and proceeded to drive at the space behind me.. it really helps in real world driving.. you will only realize it when it actually works in your daily drive..

I appreciate your review. You are just telling your opinion that this car will make women not to release their hands in the steering wheel and fight for it. If we can have this, then this is for my wife and our Montero Gen 3 will just be mine.. hahaha
How's the drive experience during sunny days knowing that this has the moonroof? Nagiging super init ba sa loob? Just want to have insight on this one.
The moonroof cover is enough to keep the heat out. cabin gets cool pretty fast.
So texting while driving is dangerous and illegal but navigating through computer screen menus and adjusting climate control through infotainment system is the new trend. The irony is getting intense! 🤔
yeah.. they are just following the trend and not thinking about the practical use of those things.. people always asking for touch screens, well touch screens are NOT INTUITIVE.. you can't navigate thru the menus without looking at it.. tsk3.. and i think self parking is just too much of a gimmick.. i mean, if you got a driver's license then you should be able to park without any advanced tech involved.. if you can't park by yourself then you shouldn't be driving at all.. it worries me that there are people with driver's license that can't park properly.. tsk3.. this kind of tech are not error proof, it can malfunction anytime or read the parameters wrong..

@@glennnavz1327 1 more thing.. it doesn't mean that all vehicle who has emergency brake systems are as consistent or reliable as other.. they differ in how the systems trigger and etc.. you may want to see a youtube video in australia where a lot of SUVs of different brands were tested for they advanced safety tech.. keyword to search is Top safety SUV in australia.. You will be amazed how other well known brands for their safety didn't shine in the comparo

you're not really gonna use the infotainment system most of the time while driving.
It has adaptive cruise control too. But I'll stick with my Coolray.
How's the aftersales experience with Ford?
I beg to differ on the auto-hold feature. Both the Geely and Chery Tiggo 8 Lux EX does the same auto-hold --> gas process ;)

Hello, did you also notice the loud rev noise from the engine? Had an opportunity to test drive this car and it was the first thing i noticed even on normal drive mode(non-sport), the noise is as if the engine is having a hard time.
I didn't notice that, except for the auxilliary fan that remains on even after engine shutdown.

Is the parking assist optional or it automatically switch ons when your parking ng parallel or any kind of parking?
It's optional. You have to activate it to use.

I have a new territory. Less than a month old. Major engine problems and still with casa.
It may qualify for the Lemon Law. Hope you resolve the problem soon. 👍
@@ReygansRides thanks! I have officially requested a replacement. The unit is still with them, it has been 15 days. They originally diagnosed as normal operation but I had to take them for road test inside my village for them to finally see the issue. Still waiting for update.
Bought car on November 3 and it has been in Ford Alabang for 15 days.

The CVT lag... is it disturbing? I dont floor the accelerator pedal
Not as much as other cvts. Its quite good for a cvt, one of the better ones I've tested.

That remains to be seen, though resale value is also affected by other factors like vehicle condition, parts availability, and market forces.
Base Territory vs coolray sport?
Geely is DCT Transmission too cost if there is a problem, Territory is VCT is less expensive
After 5 yrs its half the price, then I will buy 😊
No vehicle close to its size and price is as wide...over 76inches...for that reason a man looks good in it too. A Coolray Sport is faster but 10 inches shorter and 6 inches narrower. Easier for a woman to drive. I'm a 6 ft tall American and think that the Territory is a better car for me.

'Tsong - walang "freeway" sa 'Pinas. Expressway (at tolled pa) meron at parami ng parami but do not call those "freeways" tsif.... Sadly - Pinas has ZERO freeways, ALL limited access roadways are TOLL Roads. If they build tolled expressways from Mega Manila to say Tuguegarao or Matnog Sorsogon - it will probably cost you THOUSANDS in toll fees that it will likely be cheaper to FLY by then...
Thank you, I appreciate the input. Freeways, expressways, and tollways are different words describing the same thing: A highway where you can go fast. Even some freeways in the US/EU have toll fees. Depends on what you're used to calling them. I drive in the US a lot hence me calling highways as 'freeway.' It is creative freedom, my friend.

@@ReygansRides i agree with your take on the performance with the cvt of the territory.
But from my very short test drive, i find it hard to predict when will the boost will kick in(i find it too boosty, i gently tapped the accelerator). When i test driven the geely coolray, i didnt experience that problem.
@@ArcherArios22 yes, the coolray has a surprisingly good dct transmission. Its predictable even at low speed, no jerkiness felt and no lag as well. Tuning truly plays a big role.
