How healing and refreshing. I am a loyal fan of your channels and an admirer of you and Susie. My wife was in a near-fatal accident a month ago. Believe it our not, you have comforted me during this ordeal. Actually, I'm sure that's no news to you as there are many people in your YT world that feel the same. I love the sounds of rain! As far as I can remember from childhood, cloudy/rainy days were my favorite and the sounds of thunder soothes me.
My wife's caregiver walked into the study and immediately exclaimed how much she liked the image on the screen at the time: you had highlighted the oranges and blue atmosphere. I explained to her about your professional photography work. Well...I have enjoyed it for years.

It's weird how the sound of rain never changes. Whether under the tarp, in the tent, out walking, breaking camp, etc. it is the same speed, rhythm, and volume. It appears there has been a pre-recorded continuous stream of overlapping sound. Audio looping.
He had to fake it. The 2-3 second frame shots are important to the story.
Sounds more like wind to me 🤷♀️

Stella tent: I think the cross bar does not go on the very top at the center of spider poles. The big hook that connects the inner tent is placed on the lower pole at the center. Then you place the cross bar over the little hook that points upwards.

I have noticed in some of your more recent videos that you set up your tent away from your tarp setup. Just curious why you do that. seems to me, it would be better to have the extra cover under the tarp. Great videos, though.

Again, I don't understand why you don't put your tent under your tarp.
Because then he wouldn't be able to do a proper rain test on the tent in order to determine if it leaks for his gear, review videos on his other channel.

Agreed. Something has been going on with the red saturation in his color grades. I wonder if there is something off with his monitor.
@@BillSmithBSartist That level of color shift has to be intentional. It is very distracting.
@@jhlewis10 certainly are not “broadcast safe” reds. ;). Some of the videos show a warm tone to the skin. I can see how that can give a pleasing look at times. But these reds - esp in the tent - are clearly clipping. That’s why I’m thinking his calibration is off and he’s not seeing that.

If he does that, then he can't determine if the tent leaks or not. Which means you won't be able to give a proper review of the tent on his other channel.

What does ASMR mean
It's supposed to be similar to instrumental or easy listening.like a music channel that has nothing but nature sounds in the background. It's supposed to be relaxing and stress. Relieving, at least that's the intent.😅

Ok - I have to ask. Why do all of your recent videos have such a strange teal - blue / green colour cast in the greyscale and such a pronounced red orange bias in the foliage.
I realise it’s none of my business how you chose to grade your footage but it’s so far away from what the real world actually looks like, for me personally, it’s really jarring.
I was so happy when you started the second channel and was really looking forward to watching without dialog - a lot of the time I just can’t because of the colour.
I work with on screen colour professionally so if you think I’m being overly critical or opinionated I’ll fully own that but I just wanted to know whether it’s a deliberate choice or not ?

Allright. I have to say this. Why even bother to bring a tent if you aren't going to use it. Camping is your profession and how you do it your personal preference. It is so aggravating to see this, I will frequently just end the video. If you are tent testing, it can be understood.
If you acknowledge the camera you may as well start talking!
