    Cheers. Bought a used treadmill, thought it was stuffed, google search brought me here and with a short watch and a little patience it's running all good now. No-nonsense practical tips much appreciated.

    This videos is clutch, literally had my treadmill just sitting there for over a week thinking that i would have to deconstruct it then adjust the carpet before rebuilding it. Little did i know it would take me 20 seconds just turning a screw in the back. Thanks

    This is a nice solid treadmill for the price. It isn’t fancy but I mostly bought it for some nice brisk walking so it is perfect for that.

    Sir my belt is slipping only when I run on the "used" portion of the belt, i.e. the central part of the belt on both sides where I land most of the times, but it's risky to land off centre.
    Also slipping starts only on high speed after around 15 minutes.

    What do you do if you over calibrated the belt? I made the mistake of trying to straighten the belt on a new sole 80 because it was rubbing on one side. I did not make even turns and now it slips when I run on it. I wish I could start over again because sides were turned differently.

      Tighten up each side evenly until you get the right tension and then run it and adjust the alignment - easy just make sure the tension is correct though after aligning it and use small increments with the adjusting tool.

    No one seems to explain why a treadmill belt, when walking , sounds like it’s being dragged across sandy concrete, even when lubed.I’ve a new pre waxed deck. The belt I got had a liquid wax bottle included, w instructions to apply throughout the belt bottom before installing. Though I didn’t apply more than an ounce, I get this extremely irritating walking belt across sandy concrete sound!?! Any thoughts?

    Is it normal for a treaadmill belt to loosen up and require adjustment on a "regular" basis? Will I need to tighten it up often and is it because the belt is stretching? My treadmill is fairly new and "all of sudden" I started to feel some lipping while running.

      @orbitfitness  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hello, all treadmill belts will loosen over time but it should be quite a long time. We recommend checking lubrication and cleaning around every 3 months but the belt shouldn't need tightening regularly only when you feel it becoming an issue.

      Hello, just loosen the belt slightly and you should be fine.

  • @DopamineOverload

    Appreciate this vid!
    Regarding deviation---- Do the foot rail screws just "hang out" (on the end of the screw) through a loose/oval hole (just to keep them straight somewhat) or are they threaded at the end of the screw with a hole that fits the screw? I bought a cheap treadmill and we're having insane problems with it. The left foot rail has the "oval" hole (bigger than the screw itself), and the right foot rail is fully threaded. When I adjust the belt deviation, the right is damn near impossible to tighten (because it's already WAY tight) and the left can loosen or tighten easily. Something has to be wrong.
    Any help is appreciated, thank you!

    • @orbitfitness
      @orbitfitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris, as you're talking about a machine that we don't supple it's hard to give you specific advice as we would be unfamiliar with it. Both sides of the rear foot rails should have two screws, one to hold the cap and one to adjust the read roller. Generally you would need to adjust the rear roller adjustment, we'd suggest taking off the caps to view which screws attach to the rear roller and go from there.
      Hope this helps!

    My wifes black and decker treadmill is stalling out and ive cleaned the dirt and adjusted the tension on the belt to no avail. Is there any advice for home repairs? Also, on her model theres only one allen key hole, located on the left rear side of the mat. Can you provide any advice regarding why its stopping when she tries to run?

    • @orbitfitness
      @orbitfitness  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, we don't have access to a “black and decker” treadmill so without physically looking at the treadmill it is hard to diagnose the problem, but it sounds like it could be wear on the deck and the running belt.
      By stalling out do you mean the power was tripping or just slowing to a stop?
      The deck has a laminate type surface that should be lubricated regularly with silicon, the running belt backing could be a poly blend, cotton or some other fibre which wears over time and if the backing on your treadmill belt has worn it will cause the treadmill to stall or trip out the breaker because the driver board and/or motor will overload. This will also happen if the laminate on the deck has worn.
      We do carry spare mats and decks of various sizes, if we don’t have a deck to suit you can get a carpenter to cut laminated board to suit or go back to the retailer who supplied the treadmill and see if they can access these parts.
      Email service@orbitfitness.com.au with your name, location and contact number for one of our technicians to give you a call.

    What wrong if i make this mate overthight?

    • @orbitfitness
      @orbitfitness  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, if you over tighten the mat it can put too much pressure on the roller bearings causing them to wear prematurely.
      Also the mat itself if over stretched the fabric underneath will breakdown much quicker which will mean the mat will need replacing. Hope this helps.
