When I bought my iPhone 12 Mini, I was ready for the battery problems that I've heard from reviewers. It does suck in that department and took some time getting used too but it helped me stopped being on my phone most of the time. If I need to consume media, I use my iPad instead. I mainly used my mini for phone tasks like online banking, checking some emails, and messaging. Bringing it everywhere didn't feel like carrying a brick in your pocket. Its camera is superb as well so if you need to take a quick pic, you can pull out a decent camera. My mini is already 10 months old and it has 89% battery capacity. I think that frequent IOS updates made the battery deteriorate fast. Hopefully Apple manage to revive mini even in SE lineup. I love my iphone mini as it is a monstrous capable phone in small form factor.
I literally finished writing my own 12 Mini review 2 days before this came out lol. I’ve owned mine for a year now and my battery health is also at 85% The 12 Mini is a extremely great phone, but the battery holds it back from being perfect. Honestly I hope the next SE has a 5.8” like the iPhone X because that feels like the perfect smartphone size. Also the shots in this video were really good!
i have mini also. i have small hands im in philippines but its perfect for me coz i watch most media on ipad. so handy on small bag and hands. perfect with apple battery pack. no problem whole day =) nice informative vid
Been running on a iPhone SE 2016 for about 2 to 3 years now, moving 'back' to it from an iPhone 8 Plus, I just had it replaced by T-mobile. I love the size, but I understand that it will slowly be phased out, no more updates and I have noticed some sluggish network issues. So moving to the 12 mini over the older first gen SE would be good for me, as far as battery, the SE last me all day, but I do carry a battery pack designed for the iPhone. I think I will make the move to the 12 mini based on price, if I can find a 13 mini, better, definitely not moving to the 14, don't like the new SIM design. as silly as it sounds, I mainly use my iPhone for talk/text, for family, and use a Samsung 9+ for everything else as my public phone.
I am a new apple user and hence do not know much about apple support. Is it possible to replace battery in apple store? I have a 12 mini and if it is possible, I would rather replace battery in another 3 years to make it last a day like it does today
when u say bad battery what does it mean? ... i usually spend at least i did last week ..3 to 3.5h on my phone per day .. using twitter insta ..some msgs some music .. can this phone handle this kind of usage with out needing to charge twice in the day?
I find the pixel 7 to be a very good size phone. My issue has always been pulling the shade down and on iPhones you either have to use back tap, which sucks, or just reach up and pull the shade down with your other hand. On androids you can pull the shade down from the Home Screen from any point on the screen. For me, this is the crux of iOS vs Android. Also, developers for iOS seem to have stopped implementing the back swipe function in the user interface. Many of the apps I use I still have to reach up to the top left hand corner of the screen to go hit a back arrow to go back. On android, the back swipe is at a system level so swiping back always take you back a page. So now, instead of fixing this user interface annoyance, apple just made a small phone and yes, it feels easier to use as you can reach everywhere…but at the compromise of a much smaller and cramped screen. Hence a smaller phone fixes Apples refusal to fix their user interface. Android has fixed the user interface out of necessity because phone screens were getting larger.
That's true! It didn't bother me so much 'couse 12 mini is a small phone. But it definitely annoys me sometimes. I think that mobile (and desktop as well) UI have a longe way to be perfect
@@poweruser.official Yes. I have noticed that Apple is deliberately avoiding implementing the most normal and sensible aspects of modern user interface simply to avoid looking like android and windows. On macOS this would be apples refusal to implement proper window snapping and instead having this horrible spaces and new space with maximized windows. Now they again try to avoid copying windows by making “stage manager” which is an abomination. iOS we already spoke about, but it needs the ability to pull down the notification shade from the home screens and have a consistent swipe back feature. Ultimately, this is a huge problem for Apple. If a company avoids implementing sensible features into their products to avoid being like their competitors then what does the future hold? Windows and Android evolve and innovate when it comes to user interface so are we to assume apple will just ignore these evolutions and continue to make up silly workarounds? A company too proud to use a competitors superior method is a company doomed to fail.
@@poweruser.official Yes and no matter how ridiculous the user interface apple fans will say “actually it has improved my productivity and it just makes sense”. 🤢
Oh, I forgot. To have this kitty as your widget just download the reddit app 🐈😹

That's fantastic! Can't wait to see your video! I'm also curious about next SE, who knows what apple is planning there
👀
@@poweruser.official this is a great phone, it’s too bad that Apple got rid of it.
Love this phone. But then I'm not somebody who stares at my phone and puts 8 hours a day of screen on time.
Great Video. I’m aswell rocking the 12mini since launch day. It’s the perfect phone 📱 at least for me. 👍
This video opened my mind. I always wanted to buy this phone, but now i will buy a normal size phone, thanks a lot :)
No problem ;)

Nice review. I own an iPhone 12 mini however by no means haptic feedback is a futuristic feature 😂
