That’s my hope! It makes perfect sense for the SE to live on as a smaller form factor with updated specs. The current SE with a home button and big bezels is hopefully getting phased out as I don’t see that staying long term however I hope they continue the tradition of the SE being smaller than the mainline phones.
Folks who aren't driving the 13 mini don't know what their missing. This baby is a little dynamo, and I wouldn't trade mine for anything on the market today.
I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini. Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible. It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
Checking in from the iPhone 12 Mini. I love this phone and intend to use it until it flat out dies. If there’s no new Mini later (one can dream) I will switch to the 13 Mini. It’s perfect for everything.
It really is the perfect size and I mean it when I say it’s my favorite phone ever. I love this phone and sincerely hope they bring back a Mini iPhone in the future or even better, start to do the new SE’s in the form factor of an iPhone 12 or 13 mini!
@@joeblow5037 iphone 13 mini has longer battery. even when that goes below 80% performance you can replace it at an apple store for 90 bucks. I'd rather do that than pay $1000 for a new iphone that requires two hands to operate and won't fit in your pocket
Best phone ever made! I’m so happy with mine. People don’t realize how big of a advantage i could be to use a smaller Phone until they get one. It was my best purchase since years of wasted money.
I switched from SE 3 to the 13 mini. I totally agree with everything you stated in this video. Every day I am learning new functions. Besides the power off my next issue was how do I return to my phone call screen when I go to safari. Once I figured that out, I was like that was an interesting experience. I have the original SE which I totally love the size of that phone and how easy it is to hold. I have that's same feeling with the 13 mini. I am hoping this phone last until they decide to make a new mini. Thanks for an informative video.
I just replaced my 1st gen SE (2016) with an iPhone 13 mini and this video was informative. I'm such a believer in small phones that I can securely operate one handed, that I bought the 13 mini from a different service provider that still had new stock (TMobile) even though I'm an ATT customer. After I've satisfied the 40 day on-network requirement, I'll be getting it unlocked and moving it over to my ATT account. That might be extreme for some, or not. For me, it was the only way I could get one and it means that much to me to have a smaller phone.
I love my 12 mini I’ll be buying a 13 mini on refurbished Apple Store once they are available I hope the lineup comes back soon again I do not need or want a huge phone
Great assessment of the 13 mini. Mine is performing flawlessly after about a year and a half. I actually looked for another one yesterday to purchase a spare but can't locate another 512 gb memory. I'll use it for as long as I can, possibly repair the battery when it inevitably dies. My first Apple and first small phone and it's been great!
Nice! Yeah it’s such a good and powerful little phone. It still feels weird for me to refer to it as “little” since the screen is so large on it. Glad you’ve enjoyed yours!
I recently upgraded from Samsung S20 FE to 13 mini. I was super shocked at how small the phone was, maybe because I'm used to big phones. But I think performance wise, it's definitely a good phone. I must admit the size is so much better and lighter since I have small hands. I agree with the power button being used to access Siri instead of shutting down the phone, is not a good feature. The same thing happens with my Samsung. However, the 13 mini overall is a great upgrade. I'm sure I'll get used to the size in no time.
I purchased the 13 mini when it was released and returned it because the battery drained fast and I felt I could not rely on the phone when out and about. I replaced the iPhone mini with the iPhone 13 Pro for the battery and telephoto lens. After nearly two years with the Pro, I can say it has served me well but I do not like the weight and hand cramping. So, I watched TH-cam videos from people that used the mini to get their experience since I missed the small phone. Based on so many positive reviews of the mini, I decided to purchase the mini again since I worried that Apple would not offer the 13 mini again, or upgrade it in future line ups. So, let me say that Apple clearly did some work on the software for the 13 mini as the battery life is greatly improved and I can safely say I get a full days use before it needs charging. I am so delighted with the phone that I am considering returning the 256gb for 512gb to extend the life of the phone for future use. I also bought several MagSafe cases in the event they become hard to find. I also have iPad mini 6. Great combo.
I love my 13 mini. It’s all around the best phone I’ve ever had. My other favorite was the 6s. I’m going to keep this until it doesn’t work and hopefully be able to buy a new SE in this form factor.
That’s my hope for the next generation SE! Would love to see future SE’s in this smaller but full screen footprint. I loved that 6S when it came out too, huge improvement over the 6.
Understandable! If you’re a heavier phone user or don’t have easy access to conveniently get a mid day charge, the 13 mini just can’t meet those needs.
@@michalholecek4736 Absolutely. The battery upgrade and optimization of the A15 is significant. I felt it from day 1. Of course the battery life will depend on your use case and utilization. It’ll get you through a typical 8 hour working day if all you’re doing is taking calls, texting, and occasionally email. I believe though once you’ve owned a mini, you’ll adapt to it. If you’re a heavy user, the good news is the MagSafe battery is pretty small. Even if you need to plug it in to charge, it takes fairly quickly to charge. The form factor of course is the primary reason why I chose the mini.
I did the same as you, SE to 13 mini , about 3 weeks ago. Love it also and hope Apple comes to their senses and brings it back at some point in the future. I’m sure my 13 mini won’t last forever!
I’ve done this too, I’d always used Nexus/Pixel before, but the steadily increasing size wasn’t workable, so I bought a second hand SE to try out, before buying a 13 mini
I upgraded from the SE 2020 to the 13 Mini. It's a huge upgrade. The phone is great, but for me, I'd really like to see a 5.8" screen with minimal bezels, which would not be much larger than the Mini. But for now, I like this phone as it's very portable and easy to use one handed. 99.5% of people don't need the Pro features and they pay for features they don't need and will never use. With my SE 2020 trade in, this phone only cost me $450, which I think is a great deal.
I agree, massive upgrade from that SE. There are so many people with Pro models that don’t take advantage of most of those upgraded features. $450 is a great deal for this phone after your trade in!
Going from 14 Plus to 13 mini. I like the big battery and the light weight of the 14 plus compared to the Pro max, but still too big, right now i am enjoying my 13 mini in onehanded use. It is what a Phone should be.
My fav too. Bought one 6 months ago and LOVE it! It is not a small screen and is much nicer to carry than my 12 6.1 inch iPhone. I so wish it would reappear as a pro model.
Good, honest review. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Personally, I’m one of those (apparently) rare users who loves the brand, but hates the ‘size creep’. If they’d made a full screen version of the original, small SE, I’d have be delighted. Guess I’ll just have to get a 13 mini - or get bigger pockets !
Thank you for the kind words! Yes, the size creep is real and many companies are only making their phones bigger and bigger as time goes on. A full screen SE would be a dream.
I recently upgraded from the iPhone SE 2020 to the 13 mini as well, as I LOVE the 13 mini for all the reasons you stated in your video. I hate huge smartphone and think Apple needs to seriously reconsider eliminating the mini from its future iPhones. My only con with the mini is no more Touch ID. It prefer it over Face ID. Regardless, I plan on keeping mine for years to come. Thanks for a fair review.
The 12 mini got me to switch from Android to iPhone. I would love a new Mini but I'd happily go to the 13 Mini in case this year doesn't see it's triumphant return!
That’s awesome! I would love to see the mini return! I personally think it would be a perfect fit for the next generation SE model. Welcome to the Apple side! Anything in particular you miss from Android?
Meanwhile, one year later, … I upgraded from the XS to a mint condition Product Red 13 Mini back in January. I knew I was swapping my XS this year, as i thought it was about to lose the latest iOS, but its battery health (or lack of it) hastened the upgrade. Using a bumper and MagSafe grip - not a fan of full cases - and have got myself quite a few MagSafe accessories. These include a portable charging stand that I can use on the go, and to trigger Standby Mode when l'm home. Strange to think that this 'Mini' iPhone has the same footprint as my iPhone 7. How times have changed. Thanks, as always, for the content!
Also very disappointed that they removed it from the lineup. If they don't bring it back, my next phone will be an android again, since the mini factor is the only thing keeping me with ios. Shoutout to the s10e featured! Still my favourite phone and I miss it dearly!
Nicely done video sir. Also a fan of the 13 mini and feel it's the best iPhone I've ever used. Came from iPhoneX to this model last year. Biggest thing for me was being abke to do so much one handed. Along with the fact that even in a rugged case it still fits into a t-shirt pocket.
Hi, yes a very bold big yes for the apple iPhone 13 mini and honestly love it day and night! I also have no problems about Batterie times because got the batterie save charger from apple and the dual charger for the Apple Watch too. Altogether I am so happy. Thanks for your nice video too!
I had a 13 mini and sold it for a 12 pro. I honestly miss the mini. The 13 mini was the most underrated phone when it came out. That extra camera wasn’t worth it lol 😂. Only thing that would worry me about this phone is the lack of accessories and how fast the battery degradation might happen. If you want a small phone this is the best one out.
I’d feel the same way if I did that too, sorry to hear about your experience with the 12 pro! I’m hoping the mini form factor comes out again in some way in the future
I painted my bedroom the same color green that I’m seeing on your walls. And I have the same blackout curtains! That was back in 2016. I haven’t changed a single thing since! It’s kinda tripping me out watching your video 😂. I highly approve of your design choices. 👍
I love my 13 Mini, the absolute best iPhone ever made. I stupidly purchased a 14 Plus and kept it past my return window so now my 14 Plus is just being used as a video camera. I’ve owned almost every size and model of iPhone ever made since day one and have upgraded every single year. I will not be getting a iPhone 15 unless Apple brings back the Mini !!!!! Apple made a BIG mistake getting rid of the MINI.
@@anthonyt425 what made me get the 14 Plus is that I upgrade every year with Apple and since the Mini got discontinued I figured I would give the Plus a shot, getting the 14 Plus was curiosity and stupidity on my part. I thought I would adjust to the size difference from the Mini as I had always done with the MAX IPhones I’ve owned in the past but after owning the Mini I totally fell in love with the size. On the positive side the 14 Plus is great video camera which is its only use now for me. And I’m definitely glad I kept my 13 Mini and didn’t sell it.
The fact that Apple still sells this phone in their store. I got mine about two days ago. I came from a Pro Max and I love this phone.. maybe it’s the form factor but everything that it’s programmed with compliments it’s efficient small body.
Yeah, definitely intend to get a 13 mini before the next IPhone drops and keep it for several years. I have the 11 Pro and compact usability is just too good.
This was a good review. I’ve watched many for the 13 mini and this video had multiple tidbits of info I hadn’t heard yet. I appreciate the “nit picky” cons. That’s the kind of info I’ve been looking for when evaluating my next phone. Thanks!
That’s awesome thank you! I’m glad it brought value to you! Surprised my cons haven’t been widely talked about as much but I’m glad this review brings something different to the table
Yea I got a green 13 mini 256 GB and I didn’t realize how much I missed the normal phone size. These phones now a days aren’t normal they are laptops exploding pockets lol. I came from a iPhone XS.
I also have a iPhone mini and I am really happy with it I find it really a shame that they won’t continue with the mini I love the size of is I had a iPhone 7 before I updated to the 13 mini it’s smaller but the screen is bigger
I love it as not a fan of any of the larger phones and not needing a large model as I already hav3 an I pad pro and an IPad mini for travel so only really use the phone for basic use and banking etc and of course the camera and I don’t game either. So not sure how I am going to manage when this one fails 🤔🤪☹️😡
I'm switching from a SE 128GB 1st generation to the 13-Mini 256GB. One of the things I loved about the SE was the accessories. In particular, the Mophie line. Everything from Juice Packs battery cases to table and car chargers holders (ll of which were dirt cheap to the phones age). The SE never let me down and was easy to use. Verizon offered me a deal of a $518 loyal user discount so I got the 13-Mini with 256GB for $180. I couldn't pass it up. After getting the phone I set out to find a battery backup case with Magsafe so I could use all the Magsafe accessories. To my dismay, I could not find a single battery case that had Magsafe magnets for the Desktop and Car accessories. No problem for the standard 6.1", but nothing for the Mini 5.4" :-( I looked everywhere with no success. I'm hoping the battery life of the phone itself will be sufficient for my daily use. If so, I could use a Magsafe battery pack for an extra boost, but like the Mophie Juice Pack, I would have preferred an integrated battery backup rather than carry another device. Anyone know of a battery case for the Mini that will also work (attach) to a Magsafe accessory? A fellow on an Amazon review said he had found one, but he gave no link or name of the device. After SEVERAL hours of looking for one, I've finally given up. HELP.
I had a iphone 12 mini...I gave it to my dad because his iphone 6s (32 gb) got no more space available and I bought a iphone 14 pro max for myself, I really loved the 12 mini for myself, everything was really good except one thing: the battery. the problem (at least for me) is that apple batteries really degrade very fast.
Have recently purchased the 13mini almost 2 month ago. Although I must say it’s a great phone it’s just too small for my taste. Also , certain data is not visible on some sites as the screen is too small. I’ll update to the one 15 by year end. My opinion.
Last year, I went from the iPhone 7 to the XS, while my kids went from the X to the 13 Pro. I'm really not a fan of the weight of their phone. I'll probably stay with XS until Apple stops giving it the latest iOS, at which point I'm seriously considering swapping to a 13 Mini. It'll most likely be 2nd hand, but I really can't see Apple reintroducing a Mini - unless the next SE uses the discontinued size. Thanks for the vid!
I really love the size of the iPhone 13 Mini. Simply great for minimal one bag carry on travel. (Plus a small sling bag). I pack my 5th Gen iPad Min also. The MacBook Air stays home. The iPhone and iPad do everything I need. 👏🏼👍🏼👏🏼👍🏼👏🏼🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴
Thank you for a well presented and informed review! Couldn't decide between the iphone 13 mini or max pro for my particular use case and this video really helped me reach a decision. Thanks so much!
While I’m very hopeful for a 15 mini, I personally doubt it will come since the next SE (the current smallest offering) is rumored to take the body of the current 14 and would have made the most sense in my opinion to have that take the body of the 13 mini instead of the regular main size in the 14. Still holding out hope though!
That home bottom is the deal breaker to me,i still cant let go of the home botton, for me its still most efficient and very user friendly rather than the gesture thing, still hoping for the 4th gen SE
Home button was absolutely more user friendly for pretty much everyone compared to gestures. We posted about what the 4th gen SE will most likely be like. Spoiler alert: probably won’t have a home button
I have iphone 7, but I am thinking about upgrading, I love small size phones like iphone 13 mini, but I heard a lot complains about battery life, as well as, iphone 13 pro has 3 cameras and it make me hard to decide, because I don’t like iphone 13 pro for his size
Thanks for watching! I hear you on that, tough choice. For me, I didn’t need the 3 cameras on the pro and I preferred the overall smaller size. For the battery life on the mini, I’ve had a good experience with it and I always have access to a charger either at work, at home, in my car, etc. I usually go through the whole day and end up needing to charge around 8 or 9 pm. Hope that helps make your decision!
the iphone 13 lineup as a whole, are imo, the greatest iphones ever produced...the 13 pro max(what i have now) easily being by far the best iphone available right now for the price
I had a 2016 SE as well, then got a 2020 SE. I felt that huge size difference as well. The 13 and 12 minis are both right in the sweet spot of not being too big but having great screen sizes for their shapes.
A few contributions. The battery life is the only thing that sucks, but carrying around a charger or an external battery solves this quite well. The fact that its a small battery also means that it charges very quickly so with 10min of charging you can get a decent charge. Shop around for original apple silicone cases. There are a few color and color combinations that work incredibly well. I have a dark blue iPhone and rock it with a clear blue case or a soft orange case. I get compliments on it all the time. People find themselves picking up my phone and playing around with it naturally. The bad thing about the silicone cases is that they age very quickly but its worth it for me. If you shop around you can get them for 10 usd. I have stocked up on them. This phone for me is hands down the most comfortable and good looking phone. iPhones were meant for one handed use. Every other phone that you try to one hand manage it will give you cramps in your thumb.
Things that I didn't like when I tried the 12 mini. 1-Swipe down for Spotlight search and not getting to notifications. Wish I could change this, as I didn't like how apple handled notifications. 2-Swiping on the lock screen to get to camera and not being able turn this off. I ended up turning on the camera enough times it became a nuisance. 3-Turning on the flashlight randomly at regular intervals and not being able to change this. 4-Not being able to have Google maps track in the background. I really like this Google feature, but iPhone shuts off Google maps ability to do this. Other than that, great phone. Camera, battery life, build quality, long term support, all awesome.
Those are some big understandable frustrations with the software! I remember being frustrated with those on my previous iPhone. By the time I got to this phone I was used to them but definitely still frustrating and a lot of them are fixable with a software update if they would just do that
@@ardentlytech I understand that with any phone you get used the little quirks of the software. Android isn't free of these either, so its not just iphone. Though I have to say I ended up turning on the flashlight so much with my iphone that it was more than just an annoyance. My wife has the phone now and she doesn't have that problem, so just the way I handle the phones I guess.
Appreciate it bro! Unfortunately it doesn’t let me do what I want it to do. I would want the side button to just turn off the phone like it always has, the only option it has is to activate Siri, Voice Control, or not have a function at all. Just a minor thing but still pretty annoying
Super high quality, enjoyable video. With videos like these you will easily make it to 100k and even 1M subs. Also, the 13 mini may be the best compact phone of all time. I can’t believe the minis were discontinued 😭😭
I even saw iPhone 13 mini is just to small for me in size. I did want an iPhone 13 in pink. I waited for an iPhone 14 in purple on Black Friday 2022. I really liked the size of 13 or 14. I still have my iPhone SE(2) in white as backup. My SE is still working good. I even still have an iPhone 8 in silver grey. The 8 and SE looked almost the same except for the color. I do liked iPhone 14. It is a little bigger than the SE(2). When I saw the mini and said it was just a little bit too small for me. Getting the 14 is a big upgrade for me. It was my 3rd one in 2022. My 1st was getting a 2020 Ford Escape SE back in mid March 2022. My 2nd was getting an Apple Watch SE in space grey at Target last April just after using series 2 Apple Watch for almost 2 years.
how is the battery life for the mini? i'm thinkin' of getting the 13 mini next month when i upgrade. i don't do a whole lot just text and gaming. i play mario kart tour with a friend for about a half hour to almost and hour.
Not a major issue for me! I usually get through a day with relatively light use (texting, TH-cam vids, and light gaming) sometimes I have to recharge around 6 or 7 to get enough juice till night but not bad at all considering I have a charger near me almost all the time. I think you’ll enjoy it with that kind of usage!
I also had the SE 2020 and went to the 13M but the 128GB. Before Xmas 2022, I traded my 13M for a 256GB 13M. I plan on keeping it for the long haul. So far, Apple isn’t showing me any reason to give it up.
Yeah, retired and in 2020 ditched ANdroid/Windows for the new 2nd gen SE plus iPadPro for both the wife and I and haven't looked back. I do miss some of the Win compute ability sometimes but never Android. My SE had a critical failure 2 months ago and I also switched to the 13mini after determining 3rd gen SE was only more of the same. Zero regrets. I hope Apple turns out this form factor at least on a semi-regular basis - I don't want a big phone but I want the features a more high end phone has. I doubt any future SE will be a good path for those wanting to upgrade their phone...
I completely agree. I hope to see more mini’s down the road. Not everyone wants a large phone that blurs the line between phone and tablet. Great for those that want that but also would be good to have the smaller option for variety. Maybe instead of a new mini model every year, maybe it could be every other year to keep help costs down and keep it sustainable. I just want mini’s to survive.
I was looking at this renewed phone and a SE 2022 and found your video you told me things that I would not like about it so I think I will go to the SE 2022 renewed maybe new as I never had a new phone.
I got a 800 credit to give up my 12 Mini for a 14 Pro but I miss the light weight and easy one hand use of the Mini, the Pro is definitely in another league when it comes to battery life but I didn’t need that. I only used my phone for talk, text, pics and occasional web browsing. I have iPads and a laptop for serious browsing, I intended to keep that Mini for a long time but it’s hard to refuse 800$ to trade in something you only paid 700$ for. I guess I was intrigued by having a 3x zoom camera on a phone for the first time
Yes I can, I’m just not a fan of the floating button being onscreen all the time. It’s really obtrusive. I still prefer androids ability for the buttons to go away when scrolling or watching a video and can be easily pulled up at any time in a consistent spot. Minor nitpick.
@@ardentlytechI have 13 mini n pixel 6a. 13m is my daily driver but navigation, notifications n speech recognition is amazing on 6A. iOS is great but some of their ui decisions r baffling.
I’m a light user and this is a two day phone for me. If I start my day at 100% It’ll be at 40% at the end of the day. By light user I mean Texting and calling, note taking, and couple hours of TH-cam. I did optimize my phone to maximize battery life though, so I use dark mode, turned off background refresh, turned off location services for almost everything, and basically disabled everything that uses battery that I don’t use myself. So yeah, unless you’re a phone addict you’ll be fine.
Depending on your usage, you should be able to at least get through the day before charging, I personally have to go out of my way to kill the battery in one day. You can also get a magsafe portable charger if you need to juice up on the go 🔌
Keep in mind true “gesture navigation” is the same on android, your preferred method is just button navigation; actually, I think the only time you swipe to access the buttons is when the phone is in landscape mode. There is also the “zone swiping” mode I call it, where you swipe in specific areas at the bottom for certain navigation, but I don’t think that’s what you were talking about. Does iOS not have a button navigation option at all? Interesting if so-forcing you into gestures. Also, is there no way to reprogram the power button/turn off Siri activation? I’ve never used an iPhone really, so excuse my ignorance lol
Great questions, unfortunately iOS does not offer an option to re-program the power/side button. For the button navigation, iOS does offer a “virtual” home button but it’s an obtrusive floating button that stays on screen and hovers over every app you use. You can move the button to sit in any corner you want but you’ll constantly by moving it since it has to stay on screen all the time. Hope that makes sense, hard to explain especially if you haven’t really been on iOS before.
@@ardentlytech interestingly enough, I checked recently on my iPad and iPadOS has an option to just disable Siri activation outright, although that’s all it does and it still won’t let you use only the power button to power off. lol
It would be a big upgrade from the 8! You won’t be disappointed and the price is a great value considering how powerful the phone is without being obnoxiously big.
Yes, very sad. When I purchased the 13 mini I realized what a great decision I had made. I was always the pro max person with all the bells and whistles. I didn’t like the pro maxes colors and being that I’m a pink lover I was here for it. Love my 13 mini and I don’t miss the pro maxes at all.
They are nice. I just upgraded to a 12 mini from a se 2. Went with the 12 over 13 as it was $100 cheaper through Verizon vs the 13 mini for the same storage and the a14 is more than I need, I’d be fine with an a11 or up with what I do and the battery is great for my usage.
Yes! You would see a huge difference, basically the same things I saw with a full size screen, comfortable size, dual cameras, etc. you won’t regret the switch
Yes, very disappointed in Apple discontinuing the Mini. Hopefully the Mini will become the SE in the future if they don’t make it a flagship iPhone.
Absolutely 🙌🏽 nothing beats having a powerful phone that actually fits in my pockets!
Yes, until the took a picture
Didn’t like it tbh, returned it for a 13 Pro BUT it really sucks Apple has decided not to make Minis after the 13 for those who like that form factor
am a proud owner..i bought this just for it's size..First iphone

Same here
Had my 12 mini almost a year, and am still at 98% battery.
WHEN I have to replace it will be a 13 mini or similiar
@@joeblow5037 iphone 13 mini has longer battery. even when that goes below 80% performance you can replace it at an apple store for 90 bucks. I'd rather do that than pay $1000 for a new iphone that requires two hands to operate and won't fit in your pocket
Best phone ever made!
I’m so happy with mine. People don’t realize how big of a advantage i could be to use a smaller Phone until they get one. It was my best purchase since years of wasted money.
I agree 100%! It’s such a great value. Tiny footprint but powerful and capable phone!
I switched from SE 3 to the 13 mini. I totally agree with everything you stated in this video. Every day I am learning new functions. I remember having to adjust to that phone call issue too! Glad you’re enjoying the Mini overall Phyllis!
When you said you were filming this video with the phone... i was so surprised! It looks so good. I'm glad you really made a point here. Thank you!
Haha thank you! I was so pleased with the camera quality! Now it’s my primary camera for my latest videos!
I came from iPhone SE 1st gen and upgraded to mini 13 so size doesn’t matter to me. Perfectly fit to my small hands
That’s dedication and I salute you! You’ll definitely enjoy it for years to come so I say it’s worth it 👍🏾
@@ardentlytech Thanks! I certainly hope to make it last as long as the SE did (8yrs!)
I have the iPhone 13mini and I love it!
You should definitely check out back market! They have a lot of 512 go memory iPhone options!
Just LURVE the facto that in parts of this video 🎥 you’re just sitting on side of bed ‼️ 🛏️
I’m sure that was a big adjustment! Glad you’re liking it so far!
I loved that 6S when it came out too, huge improvement over the 6.
i basically run my vlog using iphone 13 mini and i love it!
Nice! I’m switching to use the 13 mini as my main camera for the channel and I’m still impressed with its quality!
I traded my 13 mini in for the 14 pro because the battery on the mini did not get me through the day. I loved the size but the battery was terrible.
Understandable! If you’re a heavier phone user or don’t have easy access to conveniently get a mid day charge, the 13 mini just can’t meet those needs.
I love this form factor
I went from the 12 mini to 13 mini just because of the battery upgrade
Perfect size! So glad not much changed from the 12 mini to the 13 mini!
Was it worth it, in your opinion? Good battery upgrade?
I echo this completely! Really hoping the 13 mini is not the last of its kind forever. Perfect size for me and so many other people too.
$450 is a great deal for this phone after your trade in!
great video, just purchased the 13 mini a month ago and totally liking the experience so far
Awesome! Happy to hear that. I’m bummed this is the last mini but hopefully we get another in the future
Going from 14 Plus to 13 mini. I like the big battery and the light weight of the 14 plus compared to the Pro max, but still too big, right now i am enjoying my 13 mini in onehanded use. It is what a Phone should be.
I agree. Perfect size for one handed use
By the way, compliments on your presentation. Very well articulated and easy to listen too.
Thank you Hal! I really appreciate that. Glad my points came across clearly in the video.
My fav too. Bought one 6 months ago and LOVE it! It is not a small screen and is much nicer to carry than my 12 6.1 inch iPhone. I so wish it would reappear as a pro model.
I completely agree, it’s not a small screen at all! Would love for this size to come back in the future.
I got mine iPhone 13 mini when it first came out, and I’m very happy, it’s the best phone I’ve ever had.Nothing beat this phone in my honest opinion.
I agree! So happy you love yours!
Touch ID on this would be great!! On the side/power button like other manufacturers would be an easy thing to implement.
thankyouuuu for this review, gonna buy mini nextweek
Glad I could help! You’ll enjoy it!
Simple and straightforward. Got my sub. Love to see smaller channels grow in time. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it!
Bro... I got this phone today and it's AMAZING. perfect in every way
Dope! Glad you’re enjoying it!
Upgrading to an iPhone 13 Mini myself from my old XR hopefully this week
Awesome! Come back and let me know how you like it after the upgrade!
Meanwhile, one year later, …
I upgraded from the XS to a mint condition Product Red 13 Mini back in January.
Absolutely! It’s not bulky at all and slides in and out of my pocket easily!
Hi, yes a very bold big yes for the apple iPhone 13 mini and honestly love it day and night! I also have no problems about Batterie times because got the batterie save charger from apple and the dual charger for the Apple Watch too. Altogether I am so happy.
Thanks for your nice video too!
Thank you for watching! And I agree, I have very little problems with the battery life personally as well
I have the 13 mini and it’s my best iPhone yet and if this one breaks I will be buying another one, especially if apple arent making any more minis.
I agree! Mini’s are so good! Really hoping they come back in the future. There’s a lot of people that like these smaller phones
Haha that’s awesome! Small world! Definitely love me some darker earth tones 😂
Planning to buy this soon - an upgrade from my 12 mini
You will love it!
I had a choice between the mini and iPhone 14 pro and I chose the mini. The big screen is nice but I love the practicality of the smaller phone.
I agree completely! The 14 pro and pro max sizes would make my iPad feel redundant since they’re as big as they are
I love my 13 Mini, the absolute best iPhone ever made.
I agree 1000%! Apple would be missing out on a big opportunity to bring the mini back. Really hoping this comes back as the 4th gen SE.
What made you get the 14 plus in the first place?
@@anthonyt425 what made me get the 14 Plus is that I upgrade every year with Apple and since the Mini got discontinued I figured I would give the Plus a shot, getting the 14 Plus was curiosity and stupidity on my part.
I thought I would adjust to the size difference from the Mini as I had always done with the MAX IPhones I’ve owned in the past but after owning the Mini I totally fell in love with the size.
On the positive side the 14 Plus is great video camera which is its only use now for me.
And I’m definitely glad I kept my 13 Mini and didn’t sell it.
Cap
The fact that Apple still sells this phone in their store. I got mine about two days ago. I came from a Pro Max and I love this phone.. maybe it’s the form factor but everything that it’s programmed with compliments it’s efficient small body.
I agree 100%, this is such a well, optimized phone with its screen, size and form factor
Yeah, definitely intend to get a 13 mini before the next IPhone drops and keep it for several years. I have the 11 Pro and compact usability is just too good.
Great Video. I would love to know what resolution it was filmed in. The quality is amazing.
Thanks!! It was shot in 1080p at 30 FPS. It can shoot up to 4k at 60 FPS
Surprised my cons haven’t been widely talked about as much but I’m glad this review brings something different to the table
iPhone 13 mini is for someone is not a phone person
I love my 12 mini and i really hope they bring it back for the 15 series
Me too Alvin, love the size. While it’s smaller than the other main phones it definitely doesn’t skimp on performance!
Yea I got a green 13 mini 256 GB and I didn’t realize how much I missed the normal phone size. These phones now a days aren’t normal they are laptops exploding pockets lol. I came from a iPhone XS.
For sure!
I also have a iPhone mini and I am really happy with it I find it really a shame that they won’t continue with the mini I love the size of is I had a iPhone 7 before I updated to the 13 mini it’s smaller but the screen is bigger
Absolutely I agree it’s a shame. I love the overall size, downgrade, but screen upgrade!
I hear you! I can see the smaller battery in the mini vs the max being a deal killer for people. Glad that worked out for you on the Pro Max!
Have recently purchased the 13mini almost 2 month ago.
Although I must say it’s a great phone it’s just too small for my taste. Also , certain data is not visible on some sites as the screen is too small. I’ll update to the one 15 by year end. My opinion.
Totally understandable! It is a smaller screen and personally I’ve found it not best suited for certain websites with small text
but actually what's the problem just to zoom it? I think it can help@@ardentlytech
This 13 mini is gonna ride with me till the wheels fall off
For sure!! Considering it’s the last (in my opinion) reasonably sized iPhone apart from the SE, I see no reason to upgrade anytime soon
Thank you telling me in a round about way that I should stick with my SE3 on iOS 15. 🤗
Haha glad I could help! 😂
I m buying it now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks for ur fabulous review 😁
Awesome thanks for watching! I’m sure you’ll enjoy your new phone!
That XS is great! My fingers are crossed for the next SE to be in the Mini body. I think it would be perfect
I will hold on to my 13 mini as long as possible.
It’s the perfect size for a phone I agree! Love my iPhone and iPad combo as well, very rarely do I pull out my MacBook Pro!
Watching this from Alpine Green iPhone 13 mini
Aye! Nice color choice!
@@ardentlytech Color is nice. The OS is shite
Thank you for a well presented and informed review! Couldn't decide between the iphone 13 mini or max pro for my particular use case and this video really helped me reach a decision. Thanks so much!
Super glad I could help!
I love my iPhone 13 mini. It fits great in my small hands.
Me too! It’s the perfect size and I don’t feel like I’m compromising on the size since the display is full screen
You're so right. iPhone 13 Mini a great and innovative phone line. Why has Apple discontinued Mini line? Disappointing
Low sales 😭 very disappointing
I dont know if i should wait for a potential iphone 15 mini or get the 13 mini
You’re out of luck, the home button is gone.
@@ardentlytech thank you, man!🙏
the iphone 13 lineup as a whole, are imo, the greatest iphones ever produced...the 13 pro max(what i have now) easily being by far the best iphone available right now for the price
I agree that 13 pro max in terms of features is incredible
love your review. very insightful and I discovered lot of things to my phone from your video. you definitely deserve more subscribers.
Thank you I really appreciate that! Glad you found the video helpful!
I love the size of my 2016 SE, and I reluctantly bought the 2020 SE which is much bigger, definitely want the 13 MINI or 12 MINI
I have the 13 mini and tbh it kinda feels normal sized phone after a while 😅
I was on a facetime call yesterday and it suddenly hit me like “Damn, this screen is pretty big”
The mini is already a normal size for me.
Amen to that
Things that I didn't like when I tried the 12 mini.
Great review! I love mine! 🎉
Thank you! Such a good phone!
@@ardentlytech You're a talented presenter. Keep making good videos!
Hey just to help you out you can go into settings and turn off how holding down the home button functions... Just saying
Appreciate it bro! Unfortunately it doesn’t let me do what I want it to do. I would want the side button to just turn off the phone like it always has, the only option it has is to activate Siri, Voice Control, or not have a function at all. Just a minor thing but still pretty annoying
That's weird I have the 13 and mine lets me power off the phone as a option!
Thank for all this information it was so helpful🇬🇧
Thanks for watching Josie!
Super high quality, enjoyable video. With videos like these you will easily make it to 100k and even 1M subs. Also, the 13 mini may be the best compact phone of all time. I can’t believe the minis were discontinued 😭😭
Thank you so much! This video was a blast for me and the team to make. I truly believe the 13 mini is such an awesome compact phone
i have really small hands so my next phone will definitely be the 13 mini. also because i love the design and battery despite its size!
Pretty sure you won’t be disappointed!
2022 was a big year! Awesome upgrades!
Thanks for pointing out the flaws. A phone is a phone.
how is the battery life for the mini? i'm thinkin' of getting the 13 mini next month when i upgrade. i don't do a whole lot just text and gaming. i play mario kart tour with a friend for about a half hour to almost and hour.
@@ardentlytech thank ya.
How many years will the Mini 13 get updates and the SE 2022 if you know. Thanks
Brilliant phone
Absolutely 💯
I agree with the power button
Definitely frustrating
Just ordered mine, Upgrading from 12mini. 😏
Nice!! You’ll love that upgraded chip and camera improvements!
@@ardentlytech For sure 😄 i hope it will be good for next 5 years at least.
I have the SAME nitpick !!!😅 the volume issue, I have that issue with my xs max and 12 mini. I hate it!!!
apple needs to fix it!!
SO Annoying!! Needs to be fixed ASAP
Well I believe apple shouldve updated the SE instead. But hopefully they go that route. For better marketing.
That’s my hope for future SE models! Would love for this mini form factor to live on in SE format. That would make the most sense.
I guess I was intrigued by having a 3x zoom camera on a phone for the first time
Oh yeah that’s tough. I probably would’ve done the same if I were in your position. 3x zoom can come in handy in certain scenarios
I think the next se will be just like the mini.
I hope so! I’d love to see that
You can use the Assistive Touch feature for many things if you don't like gestures.
9:57 Yeah! I've noticed that too, its really annoying.
So annoying!
I love the size of the 13 mini. The battery is my biggest concern about switching to it.
I second above comment. 7 hour on screen time and it still has battery so far today(21%). It hasn't died on me yet.
Depending on your usage, you should be able to at least get through the day before charging, I personally have to go out of my way to kill the battery in one day. You can also get a magsafe portable charger if you need to juice up on the go 🔌
@@figeon I stream podcasts for 6 hours and browse TH-cam for 1 hr a day and have 40-50% by 10pm.
& im on a 12 mini
Good vid. Thanks
@@ardentlytech I see, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen that before. Unfortunate that there’s little flexibility.
@@ardentlytech interestingly enough, I checked recently on my iPad and iPadOS has an option to just disable Siri activation outright, although that’s all it does and it still won’t let you use only the power button to power off. lol
Awesome review, thank you :)
looking to upgrade from my 5 year old iphone 8 that runs like shi, i like smaller phones so there is no disadvantage in iphone 13 mini for me
It would be a big upgrade from the 8!
Nice!! Glad you’re loving it so far!
I see the appeal of small FF, pity there is no demand for it. I have the IPmax because it has beast mode activated.
Matt, so glad you have a phone that works out for you!
That’s awesome! The a12 chips and up I’ve found to be incredible and more than enough for people with light usage
currently wife and I have the Iphone 8 and thinking of upgrading to this 13 mini. Would be a great upgrade?
Yes! You would see a huge difference, basically the same things I saw with a full size screen, comfortable size, dual cameras, etc. you won’t regret the switch
@@ardentlytech Great news. You have made up my mind. That was a great video and going for it with the 256 g size. 👍👍
