The dancing glave is a finesse weapon. I saw someone do a build with that and picked it using weapon master feat and then picked great weapon master for Astarion. It was pretty cool.
@@remortisgaming I like to use it with swords bard and open hand monk sometimes. :D. I tried the collage of dance mod it was meh. So I made my own dancing bard with the in game classes. lol.

Helpful video, I can't wait for the Patch 8 drop. Small note: "Rakish" is pronounced Ray-kish, it's derived from an old word, Rake (noun), short for Rakehell (which sounds awesome, right?). Rakish basically means someone who is dashingly or carelessly unconventional.
I don't think Booming Blade is working as intended. It's doing the extra damage it should apply only if the target moves at the same time the target is initially struck, becoming basically a free thunder smite.

The reason why it’s bonkers is it was limited to only 1 attack per round cause it combined your bonus action with your attack, plus the tabletop had a weird rule about casting multiple spells in a turn, where BG3 doesn’t care about that rule.
@@remortisgaming But why does the text states the damage is only applied when the target moves then? WoTC "explained" it's actually not RaW in some post or errata? Edit: Found it, it CHANGES to also apply the extra damage on hit at 5 level, not sure if it's reflected in the BG3 text - ty for the reply.
Giant Barb 5 (for Bonus Action Boot to the Head)/Monk 7(Way of the Open Hand for the Wholeness of Body Bonus Action) for Tai Kwan Leap: Way of the Intercepting Boot)
@keithwin3449 booming blade being a cantrip should work as casting a spell, it doesn't work with extra Attack. Bladesinger gets a special Extra Attack letting you do one attack and one cantrip. At most they should limit it to only being castable once per attack action not on Every Attack action.
Have you thought of dropping the swords bard entirely an just doing hexbalde 7 swashbuckler 5. If your using shadow blade as your weapon the sneak attack damage should be converted to psychic for more resonance stone abuse.

All these subclass coverage vids are gonna be basic builds to express the changes and ideas of the new subclasses, I’ll be posting more thorough builds/guides after I finish each class
i really really hate multiclassing, yet my favorite class is rogue, which makes me rely on mods to actually make a 12 level rogue competent in any way. I thought swashbuckler would help with that but seems like hes still also very frontloaded.

It the weapon allowing the Barbariano-rogue multiclass to work without any drawback, it's ton of fun (and damage)

@@keithwin3449 EK definitely got the biggest glow up in latch 8. It really needed booming blade to shine. It’s easily the best booming blade user.

Booming blade isn't supposed to work like that, I really hope they fix that.
How should it work? And Larian has a lot of mechanics that work differently from 5e but they could change it

@ it’s still nice though, don’t let it deter you. The dirty trick disarm every turn for no resource investment is worth imo

@ What functions as an extra attack? Sneak attack? no it's just additive damage, it's not it's own separate attack.
