I’m currently following this build for my first ever honour mode run and while I have a full party, I usually just solo most combat because of how powerful it is, thank you ❤️
@@MorganaEvelyn I went up to the roof of the ogres in blight village in A1 and attack then stealth cheesed them solo while playing with my friend. He got bored and tabbed out to watch one of your videos lol.
Another tip for shinannigans is that a SINGLE level dip in wizard means that you can scibe any scroll for which you have spell slots of high enough level AND that appears on any of your spell lists. Also Wild magic sorcerer causes ALL leveled spells cast to have the chance of wild surge not just sorcerer spells. Using the first trick I made the most unholy abomination of a bard.
Hello Eve, you already had a ton of comments like that but... I got my golden dice on my first attempt earlier and all the tips you give in your videos/streams helped *a lot* so thank you for that ! Keep up the good work and I'll def enjoy your stream tomorrow ; )
Hello dear I love these comments so much and can never get enough of them. Congrats on your golden dice you're so amazing for achieving that. Looking forward to having your company 😊
Ok but seriously I found you randomly last night and I didn't even sleep thinking about the first part of this video, today I rewatched it fully and I'm fucking crying atm. Seriously love your voice and jokes, also the editing is just *** I can't 🥵. Please please pleaseeeeee never stop making these, you are amazing!!!! Simple, clean and effective, loved it! P.S. Everytime you edited a background "ayo" I had to stop the video, pissing myself from too many laughs.
This vid is great I was planing on doing a solo run myself. I noticed though that you’re dropping the Titanstring to buff it when it’s only necessary to do that on melee weapons. All you have to do for ranged weapons is click the range weapon toggle (right under where the bow is displayed) with the drakethroat equipped and when you do the buff it applies to the bow not the melee.
Super video ! A lot of nice tips and tricks. 👍 Maybe you already know it but to get fish for the bear, you can find some in the Grove: - near Volo there is a fishing rode with a letter and bucket with fish - you can also follow the path just on the left of the lift to see a bear catching fishes (and a rock that can be moved with a nice amulet🤫)
Just beat my first solo honor run with a similar build to this. I don't like respecs so I had to work around that a bit. I did the first 5 into ranger like normal. I was done with Act 1 at this point so there weren't as many surprise round options after that. Instead of rogue right away I went the next four levels into champion fighter for defence, action surge, and the final feat (first was sharp shooter obvs and this last one was ASI +2 dex). The last three I actually did thief rogue for the extra bonus action. Great for potions/elixirs/powers if you get awakened. I used the freedom of movement boots you get from Dammon in act 3 instead of the ring so I got an extra ring slot, but you could also keep using the ring and use Minthara's boots which are also really good (can't be moved or knocked prone while concentrating). I lost 5 runs in Act 1 doing this, but after act 1 (especially with extra attack), the world is yours. Never lost after that. Thanks Evelyn for the tips in this vid. I rewatched this like three times while struggling and it helped a ton. Very proud of making it all the way through solo without dying. I was durge and I accepted bhaal for the bonus crit chance, then gutted myself after defeating the netherbrain lmao. Thought it a fitting end to a run where I was trying so hard not to die. It's okay tho right before the final fight Halsin (only person in my camp) wanted to get freaky and I got to see THE SCENE for the first time, and also say hi to the drow twins with him. What an insane run this was.
Congrats on your solo win. I'm glad I inspired and helped you on your journey. You did really well to take the concepts and twist the build to your preference which is amazing to see 😊
Huge thanks for this. If only for the build tips/tricks, and for the general tips. Had no idea about those possible early speed pots under that rock. :)
This build looks so much fun! And it got me thinking - I have a mod that allows me to level past lvl 12, so I have a motivation to do extra stuff in the 3rd Act. At lvl 11 you could theoretically switch over to Archfey Warlock, put 5 levels into Warlock (Pact of the Blade) for Extra Attack and Charisma as the ability modifier for attack rolls, 3 into Assassin and 3 into Gloom Stalker for their respective class abilities. Then you could level up to 7 Warlock, 5 Gloom Stalker and 3 Assassin for Greater Invis 2 times per short rest and 3 attacks per round (+ Gloom Stalker Attack in the first round) if you happen to get into combat. Obviously keep the Titanstring bow for additional strength damage. Since Charisma is a good stat to have points in plus it gives you Greater Invis and a 3rd attack (outside of Honour Mode of course) I think this build might be fun. I'm gonna try this once I've reached this point in my current tactitian run, I think. Of course this build is only available with mods, but even if the mod doesn't have a changed XP curve and you skip some content, it's easy to reach lvl 15/16 at the end of the game.
I used your trick of stealing from volo and now it’s an ongoing joke in one of my campaigns with a friend that every long rest, Astarion torments volo by stealing all his shit lol Honestly, especially at higher levels, Volo gives some *really* good stuff. He has misty step scrolls pretty early on, but he also has things like invisibility, dimension door, globe of invulnerability, wall of fire, and even summoning scrolls for elementals and undead. I think I even saw a greater invisibility scroll before. HIGHLY recommend tormenting him whenever you have the chance.
FYI, the reason she went down is two fold. I believe what happened is you turned on non lethal but then did a ranged attack which doesn’t work with non-lethal attack. Also since she is concentrating on the spell, being knocked out would break con so another reason why it’d stop.
This is going in my "I will definitely watch it eventually" playlist because I haven't finished act 3 and I have at least 5 more playthroughs before I know I will (mostly) not be spoiled by these playthroughs
I don't really comment much, but your video got me my golden die with my own little twist on the solo stealth archer (Went Durge) so thank you so much!
I love shadowkitty and space gummies. My first playthrough of the game, she was good and uncovered her past & everything. Second playthrough, shadowkitty is gonna really embrace the shadowy darkness and be evil 😇 also your voice is really soothing
My first HM run i died at the owlbears (went in too soon - lvl 3). Second made it all the way to Myrkul (80+h). On this run i also lost Isobelle and found myself in the courtyard surrounded by all the npcs now aggroed. Didn't know that was an option. I survived somehow 😅. Third, died to the mind crawlers on the beach😂. Now on my fourth i thought i was zooming through the game.... still, compared to your run it's like i am standing still. great video, learning a lot from it. PS: for the Shar gauntlet platform the trick i use is that i start casting a cantrip like Firebolt and then trace it in front of me very slow. if the path drops off the cursor will change its position faster than your tracing. This is how i figured the path. A little Dark Souls/Elden Ring trick whereyou would shoot arrows too see invisible paths 😉
@MorganaEvelyn If you shoot an elemental arrow or throw something that does AOE roughly where the hag is you can reveal her without the risk of surprising yourself or being too close. I was able to use your stealth tactic to take her down to 30hp before combat even started.
you have such a nice, calm voice great to listen to also nice editing and good humor, but can't watch past act two for spoiler reasons but i'll be back in a week or so
Me lo he tragao enterito y de una. Vaya locurón y encima en menos de 12h. Esta gachí está to rota! PS: I'm sorry, but what I felt after watching the video I can only express in my language. 100/10. New sub!
Okay very entertaining watching you play this game. My first video I’ve watched of yours. Your witty charming voice made it so enjoyable. Subscribing instantly
Your mind flayer looks like Courtney Cox. One of the biggest "CHEESE" I use is giving backpacks to all the vendors you're going to kill or are in the next act. Put everything they have in the backpack right before you take them out or before you leave for Night Song. And with Moonglow...give her a backpack in act 1, she'll have the items when you see her in act 2. Take her out and send all her stuff to camp. Come back later and she has more inventory. Take her out again. Probably overkill but it's takes less time than pickpocketing.
You really are very sneaky and efficient in your play through! No wonder Shadowcutie has your heart😂❤❤ When I play, I usually just go in and directly fight everyone. No wonder I play mostly as a barbarian and no wonder I still haven't completed Honor mode yet 😂❤
I’ve played through act one at least 3 dozen times since early access and I never knew there was a chest on the cliff before the intellect devourers. I can’t believe you killed the undead dog
22:26 careful, I have been pulled off the ledge by the mimic's pull ability before. To be safe, strategy does work but block line of sight with movement at the end of each turn so you don't take fall damage and get ganged by the mimics, potentially ending your run 24:28 def another run ender, I would recommend throwing in a weak summon like zombie/mage hand to trigger the fight first and tank the surprise round, or taking alert feat/vigilance potion. The hollow (animated) armor and slimes in act 2 morgue have the same risk and solution
If u You didn’t know (which u probably know) u can hide behind the crystals and then when he uses his ability the cover will explode and save you it will also give resistance to all elemental dmg!
Well played! Early part reminds me of my old shadowheart trickery only solo run (on tactician though) similar setup and equipment, but interesting to see her class change to a ranger later on. It was my hope of showing that even trickery subclass can be ridiculously OP You smoked those ogres, wasn't even funny (yes it was)
I am thankful that you play Shadowheart so much- she tragically perma-died back in Act 2 of my Honour run, which is very late in Act 3. I miss Shadowheart so much in my run, but her fate has been 100% in my 3 playthroughs so far. (Spoilers!!) First time was Selunite gf who mercy kills her parents, 2nd was my Durge, not only did she kill Lae'zel, and kill the Nightsong, but since I went down the redemption path, my Durge convinced her to save her parents. Minthara is the female lead in my Golden die run, first time I successfully recruit her in 3 runs, and she's a Gloomstalker 5/ Assassin 3/ Diviner 4. Heavily inspired by the build I first saw you use on Mommy Milkers. She usually kills the most opponents in the party- 2-shot Gortash, for example. But on the times she is not effective, the party backing her up can handle everything else- main character, Vincent- 1 Knowledge Cleric/ 11 Evoker, his gf (hireling) Miela- Necromancer 12, Karlach- 6 Monk open hand/ 3 Assassin/ 3 Battlemaster. I played my 3 main characters very differently and got different results with each of the companions. The game has so much re-playability and content depth, this rivals, probably surpasses old school D&D modules with legitimately defined variable outcomes. I'm looking forward to playing with patch 7- looking forward to playing both Shadowheart as an origin character and Durge with the evil endings. So far, I've only played good characters. Anyway, thanks for the vid, and inspired by your channel, I might just try solo runs in my evil playthroughs! Cheers!
My second video I've seen in the last two/three hours from you. Both 1+ hours long. Great content for real. I just started getting back into BG3 again after only beating the story once on normal months ago. This video alone makes me want to play harder difficulties and build classes that synergize perfectly like this one does. It looks fun and exciting. *Hits Like* *Hits Subscribe*
Last night I found out a very cool way to get ALL the items from vendors you are going to kill. Sell them a backpack, open it, put everything they have in it, and when you kill them, since they drop the 3 more expensive items they have, and they only item in their inventory is the backpack, they leave it for you to loot. And everything is in there (the gold, the potions, the weapons and armors.... everything). XD
Fantastic video. Really like the accent too even though damn its hard for me to understand sometimes.. Like your "good" sounds like "gun" ) Is it Australia or New Zealand ? Anyway, well worth a sub.
I accidentally just had this be my class and playstyle the first time I played this game. Without the barrels, that was something I had much more fun with later on play through two...
activating the magma mephits in act 1 with a Find Familiar would negate their surprise. been pretty consistant for me, you just may miss the activation on a couple of them if you dont place it/reveal it in the right place
idk if you saw but there are two guide documents, written by a member of the community, linked in the description. One is a general companion to a solo Gloomstalker run (I believe it includes the pathing up to the end of Act 1, and a lot of info on the build). The other is a Boss Guide that assumes you're using the previous build/early pathing guide. Hope that's of some help at least.
I finally made a guide video to this build:

Shadowfeet >>>>> shadow step
Shadowfeet is more than a meme, it's a lifestyle.
I wouldn't be here without them, honestly (I will not specify whether I mean Shadowfeet or these boots)
That's literally the line from every female character that's using voice number 4
Sooo idk if you know this but if you let the hyena die in the cutscene, you dont have to deal with it.
"these cultists are worth 10xp each" Spoken exactly like me playing BG3 "Im sorry bud but if you wanted to live you shouldnt be made of xp"
Theres a shirt i have that my mom made that says "dont talk to me. Im having a bad day and you look like enough XP for a level up"

That murdering is relaxing, I agree 😊
Oh no Arabella stepped on a lego. XD damn!
Thats one heck of a lego!
Yep, that was awesome!
XD
you can also do that, then knock them out and after you long rest they wont be mad anymore
I've been struggling trying to get surprise as a melee assassin gloomstalker, it was bows all along!
Fantastic video. Really like the accent too even though damn its hard for me to understand sometimes.. Like your "good" sounds like "gun" ) Is it Australia or New Zealand ?
Anyway, well worth a sub.
"stop touching your box and lets go" IM DYINGGGGG
underrated video
Oh! I thought after entering act 2 you couldn’t go back! So you can enter the Last Light Inn and then return? That’s awesome
Yeah but it autoresolved the Druid/Goblin situation.
Just gonna timestamp some things I want to try...
9:55 moonlantern
16:46 harass Grym
17:50 multiple attacks before triggering combat

If you have any troubles let me know I'm happy to help
Rewatching it for the third time!
I like animals, i like flowers my name is---- *scratch scratch* Slim Shady
I accidentally just had this be my class and playstyle the first time I played this game. Without the barrels, that was something I had much more fun with later on play through two...
Okay you're actually hilarious 😂
Aw you're too kind thank you 😊
@@MorganaEvelyn Honestly you make fair dinkum content
activating the magma mephits in act 1 with a Find Familiar would negate their surprise. been pretty consistant for me, you just may miss the activation on a couple of them if you dont place it/reveal it in the right place
Why does this video have only 3 views? Can I have a heart please? c:
i would LOVE a document i could follow for this type of class run so i can keep going back to it
idk if you saw but there are two guide documents, written by a member of the community, linked in the description. One is a general companion to a solo Gloomstalker run (I believe it includes the pathing up to the end of Act 1, and a lot of info on the build). The other is a Boss Guide that assumes you're using the previous build/early pathing guide.
Hope that's of some help at least.
@irontoof I couldn't find it in the description but I must have missed ig, thank you so much :)
