i love your videos!!! would love to see opinions of pet owners in zurich - i heard the swiss require pet owners to take some classes before adopting. i am curious what happens when expats who are pet owners come to switzerland. also, how about the vet costs and frequency of visits/vaccines, etc.?
Hi Claudia and Jan, thank you for making this street interview about zurichers' expenses per month. It will help me how they manage their money. Glad to watchi this great video.
There is an ISP in Swiss that provide a 25Gbps internet for home use at 77 CHF per month. Compared to anywhere else in the world, that might be the cheapest. Speed compare to price.
You guys rock honestly!! This channel has become one of my number one way - I recommend that you compare against other countries like USA, France, England. I lived in Switzerland for 4 years and from my friends that’s always the biggest question. Keep it up guys, you have a fan here!!!!
Hi guys! I really enjoyed your video and also loved the part where you count other people's money 😏. The only thing I missed was having the numbers on the screen. I think it would be really helpful to show them while you're doing the math with your guests.
@@claudiaandjan i take this opportunity to ask : i do direct response marketing as an independent biz owner in france and looking to come switzerland, but wondering if zurich is best place to save compared to geneva and others? thxx
@@anaskaizen1My suggestion: Go work in Zurich but take a living place in the vicinity of it where living is cheaper (like for example Baden, Dietikon or Spreitenbach). That way you can save up more since Zurich has the highest wage (of the cities you mentioned) and the suburbs have a lower cost of living.
Why does this video has so little clicks. It is a very good video and a lot of interesting insights... I think it is to be honest one of the most interesting videos of you. I do not understand why it has some of the lowest number of clicks...
Wow, Basel is more expensive. I am living alone, and I could not spent less then 4k and it is without going out frequently and buying expensive clothes or something. One of the biggest spending is food and other staff for evening with a TV or youtube - around 800.
I dont live in Zurich and my fixed costs are around 2K with 500 Francs "fun money" per month. However in the future if i dont worry about saving up my money i would prefer living in Zurich or another "big" city like Basel. Its definitely worth some money to enjoy the benefits of living in a city, especially once you got kids.

Hello, you say in order to find apartment we need job and for job we need apartment right? How about if I come for Phd with a B permit, and as far as I know university helps me to find affordable apartments for student. Does it become easier then? And I need to do health insurance by myself before even searching for rent right? PLEASE HELP ABOUT THIS ONE, THANKS IN ADVANCE LOVE YOU:) 🙏
I have been struggling with joining a verein, so a question would be “what is the best verein to join, if you aren’t a pro at any sport?” (There are many vereins for A class sportspeople in basketball/volley/… but difficult if you’re just an average person). Thank you!
Hey there, I understand you! We have been using meetup events, where people are meeting up to do sports. It is also on a regular basis, but less serious 👍🙂
I have been offered 4000 k gross per month as a tattoo artist in Zürich that comes 3200k after taxes. It seems like that it won’t be enough even just to survive there!?
It is enough barely if you decide to live in a shared apartment. Rent could be then 1200chf, food 300 to 400, health insurance 350, other expenses like electricity would be split but usually is 80 per month, mobile 30 to 40chf, internet wifi at home around 40 (but can go even higher to 80). When you go out to eat, a meal is around 20-24 cheapest, drinking is expensive.
@@sayyesbibi first I will live in a shared apartment. I do eat a lot as I’m doing sports like 5 times a week, however I don’t drink alcohol at all. It will be enough at the beginning and after I definitely will negotiate better conditions.

Definitely, in Zurich (not anything near the center) we pay 3k for one child in a small, totally not fancy Kita placed in an old building, but the fancier bilingual places close to our apartment are 3.5-3.6k so it’s quite shocking
