We have the car back and we all just drove it over the past few days - WOW. It feels like stock until WOT, Then its a Monster, we are dropping out first impressions video tomorrow. Since then We have put our sticky tires on and we re did the rear suspension and got the alignment dialed in for MAX tire contact - It still spins them but its much more grippy - Thanks again
Ok for sure I want this kit. I want only support people that takes time to dedicate to the community. Thanks guys really good educational content video! ❤
nice! what would be the power on a conservative tune? I would like to supercharge my GR in the future. not looking to make anything over 300. I would be happy with 280whp and at least some torque over 200. would this be possible? I live in AZ so I dont want to go too crazy since we have a ton of heat here.
Iirc the previous gen's Sprintex kit was tearing up belts. Is this gen a bit better? How much boost were yall running to hit 300whp? Car sounds cool as fuhhh, and looked like it pulled good!!
I almost wish you guys used a smaller twin-screw and spun it faster to get more whine. Power be damned, I just want to hear the blower scream like I'm driving a Kenne Belle Cobra in 2006.
As someone who didn’t know any better when at the dealership, I also bought the auto gr86 and I regret it everyday, but I was thinking of getting this kit to make the automatic experience better.
The auto transmission would arguably hold up better than the manual transmission with boost-autos use a Lexus transmission that held more HP/TQ than an 86 has stock. It’s a good unit and proven.
@@toxiclight9378I owned a first gen 86 auto and made sure to get the manual the second time around. It’s much more engaging imo and I wouldn’t buy an auto again. Still, the auto is still fine, just a different experience. I would just be thankful for what you have and keep it. If you ever get the itch, the auto is actually quite stout and can handle the additional torque of a supercharger. If you don’t believe me, you can check the ft86 forums.
@@Barbwire710this is probably a stupid question, but would driving an auto on manual mode with a supercharger/turbo on it affect what the car in question could handle in terms of power?
I had a gtp back in the day that had an Eaton M90 on it. In a video the whine was really loud like this, but in the car it wasn't nearly as loud. I think the microphone really picks it up.
You can't get much from a supercharger. If you went smaller pully for higher boost + E85 and new engine internals you can be near or around 400's whp I bet.
supercharger is not for peak power, its for linear torque and driveability. these make far more power on a turbo, k24 austin is pushing near 700 wheel internally stock.

What tires did you get?

i can hear that supercharger whine from here! good numbers, looks like a ripper.
Great to see you uploading week after week just for the intake!
Thanks for making this video. Looking forward to trying the tune!
Excellent review and dynos results Bravo 👏🏻
What a blast of a car!!

Where did you get the steering wheel?
the stock clutch on these is great! they are holding up to 600+ hp

"And it never get done later" 🤣
That nice
The whine😩😩 I want it so bad!!

Nice car
Max it out!!!

I have an auto GR86 and I wonder how the auto would hold up on this setup? It’s not a daily but if you could share some insight

If you are chasing time. Stick with the auto.

CANDY SOUND CAR!!!!!!
What steering is that?
Nord sud
Proper bo
Some people might like the noise, but it'll drives me crazy and give me a headache after.
Can always get the HKS kit, Harrop kit, or Jackson racing (when it comes). Won’t be as whiny.
Yea. Its only cool on a race track but if you drive it more than on weekends for short drives, it can get pretty annoying

Sweet. A shopping list of part manufacturers on the side of the car. Perfect for thieves.
You're telling me it makes 300 hp AFTER the supercharger/tune? You have to be joking....
Were you expecting 700HP out of a 2.4?
@@crimsonspan9750 For realz. The dude is playing too many video games haha
