I am a Muslim woman of hispanic descent born in NYC. I am very happy to wear my hijab. No one has ever oppressed me or made me wear the hijab against my will. God willing (insha Allah) will wear it till the day i die. I am a blessed and happy muslim woman 🙏

@@ALLAHwithdaughterALLAT I already know about that hadith but the roads are pretty big here in America, so there's no point of doing that and I usually don't talk to strangers, lol and do you know the definition of a cult? because it seems like you don't.

@@ALLAHwithdaughterALLAT First off in response of your other reply, I'm not a taqiyya. Second off that refers to a reward in Jannah. Also then why do it says in the Quran, that all believers, men and women will have a reward? Doesn't that indicate women will be there too?

Tesneem, I just had a surreal moment. My name is Lily and I am a school social worker. I was guest speaking about Islam in America for our middle schoolers in preparation for a school trip to the Diyanet center in Lanham and found your amazing channel. I am only now realizing that we were roommates at IIIT in 2015. I’m so happy to know you’re flourishing and will continue to use your wonderful videos for my class. Sending best wishes your way.

If wearing clothes (as opposed to nudism) has no psychological benefits (in regards to covering up, not decorating), why do so many wear them (clothes)?
I’d appreciate if you answer! It would mean lot if you answer this. Thanks!

I love the explanation by Dr Alkiek! 😎
Whenever I meet a woman wearing her Hijab, I almost immediately give her the recognition and dignity she deserves. My emotions are empathy, as I do NOT see it as a symbol of oppression but of faith and identity. My empathetic response is for the inane questions she has to answer, explaining why she covers up 🙄
I got into an argument with my ex-therapist whether or not the Hijab (barrier) is a symbol of oppression - this therapist, being a mental health professional ought to have known better! 😒
Salam Alekum - Ramadan Mubarak from Western Washington! 💗🙏

1 - Whoever says SubhanAllahi wa biHamdihi (Glory be to Allah and Praise Him) a hundred times during the day, his sins are wiped away, even if they are like the foam of the sea [Sahih al-Bukhari; #7:168, Sahih Muslim; #4:2071]

I love how you hone in on education that’s my seeing oppression that woman in certain places due to extremism which is just as alive in Christianity in different ways is the oppression the hajib isn’t the oppression it’s a mindful choice and I’m a Christian white woman but that bodily autonomy which I truly believe in and everything I’ve ever read about Aisha tells me everything I need to know about Mohamed I respect the faith that says you aren’t supposed to read it unless I’m Arabic so I’ve never read the Quran sry if I miss spelled that but she was a badass she was the woman who helped guide other woman sorry but of a rant ish I just really appreciated learning through this video off to watch more to learn thank you and blessings!!!

We muslim women decide for ourselves if we want to wear the hijab or not, we dont want anyone else to speak for us. If you ever see one of us wearing a hijab or not wearing a hijab, do not judge, and concentrate on your own problems

I am not muslim but i am LDS, we are christians. Many people mock our modesty. They mock our garments. While muslim and LDS may not share exact values. My friend is muslim and whenever we discussed our religious beliefs. Many concepts are similar and we could relate. Shes a lebanese muslim. She doesnt wear a hijab but her mother does. I appreciate the hijab the way i would want other faiths to appreciate garments. We dont show our faith outwardly besides simple modest clothing. Thank you for sharing your beliefs. I enjoy learning about the hijab.

Could somebody answer this for me- why has Allah commanded Muslim women to wear the headscarf? Is it to cover ourselves in front of men, or for us to be seen and differentiated as Muslims, or something else?

If wearing clothes (as opposed to nudism) has no psychological benefits (in regards to covering up, not decorating), why do so many wear them (clothes)?
I’d appreciate if you answer! It would mean lot if you answer this. Thanks!

Mashallah sister....much much needed...must preach this too our old relatives who thinks that "making women get her education is merely a waste of time and they are anyhow meant to rot in kitchen" Some people are frozen in time. They need to wake up and come to reality !
