I ran into the ablutions issue years ago. I'm an atheist (and white/western) but well-educated, so I was aware of that aspect of Muslim life. Walked in on a woman in a library restroom washing her feet. Since she was wearing a hijab, I figured it was that, so I was very chill and said something like 'prepping for prayers?' She was so relieved and happy that I knew she wasn't doing something weird. It doesn't take a lot of effort to learn the basics of other cultures, and it's worth doing!
It really is! Human connection becomes so much easier when you understand the customs of cultures all around the world. Plus, it's interesting to learn these things.
@@CodeCreated1. What do you mean by violating personal space ? Do you mean by washing your feet you are violating personal space of others ? 2. What a coincidence that people are getting recommended by this video that has been released two years ago. I don't really mind learning about religions. It's quite interesting what was it is like as I am an atheist. I learned something new today- I didn't know you had to wash your feet to do ablution and I now know what ablution is . Thanks for making this video eventhough it was released 2 years ago-it helped me and the others. Assalamu Alaikum!
I'm a Christian Indonesian and the majority in Indonesia are Muslims so I rlly wanted to learn more abt Islam. I love learning abt other religions, I think it's a rlly interesting topic.
I watched this video because one of my new roommates is Muslim, and even though I do not plan on converting, I wanted to make sure I was respecting her and her religion. I was surprised at how many things I already knew about, although I didn't know about ablution, and I've never heard someone say "Allahu Akbar" before. Thank you for making this video so that non-Muslims like me can be educated without condemnation.
You should take your mother to an islamic state and respect their religion when they convict her of any number of crimes purely for being female. The ignorance is so strong. Religions shouldn't be respected for the sake of it. I believe most religions to be evil, but islam is by far the most violent and calls for the most death directly.
I love when non Muslims try to understand Muslims. For example I remember this one time when I had a new math teacher, he introduced himself and told all the hijabis that he has hijab pins if we ever need one. Its so simple but makes me feel so touched.

I'm honestly in love with this food (especially the rolls of meat in vine leaf it's the best thing i've ever eat, and the pastries are soooo delicious). I've always been very understanding and respectful of their beliefs and traditions, but in France it's not really the case for most non muslim people... That's making me sad. Everyone should have the right to have their beliefs. Plus, even if i'm not muslim, i have some of the same habits (modesty, not drinking alcohol, being vegetarian, not touching anyone especially the opposite gender, etc). I'm even learning arabic because i really love the arabic culture and history. I wish people were more understanding. I had to deal with so many islamophobe people and i wish things were less... Tense between muslim and non muslim ? I met wonderful muslim persons, but also very bad and unrespectful persons. and vice versa. Why can't we just accept everyone ? It's sad really. @@checkcommunity4moreinfo There is no such thing as a purely good or purely evil religion. This stands for ALL religions (Yes, even Satanism), so me saying that all Christian’s are bad would not be accurate of me. However, I will say that Christianity as a religion has been weaponized, usually incorrectly according to their own texts, to commit atrocities such as genocides, hostile takeovers, and subjugations by some very bad people. Some of these acts still being committed today. So, in my opinion, in general I think Christianity is a semi-toxic religion with good and bad people in it, there the bad people with usually speak louder than the good people. However if your asking whether I like to study it as much as other religions, then no. I have religious trauma surrounding Christianity and I’d very rather not delve deeper into it as I would other. Hi, i'm glad you're willing to be so kind to the Muslims. But just to clarify, Islam is a religion in the language of arabic, but it is not an arab religion and there is no such thing as making arab culture a part of Islam. If something overlaps between the two, we are still just following our religion. We base our entire identity off of submitting to Allah and what his messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, tells us to live by. If Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him was white, that doesn't mean that we follow white culture now. I am very happy that you have a heart that's open to the Muslims, but i just want to clarify that inshaAllah
I respect TH-cam's recommendations now more than ever for blowing this up and apparently recommending it to everyone especially with what is happening in Palestine. Islam is about Peace and being merciful and forgiving, so please go support and donate to help the children and everyone who is impacted with what's happening there. Don't listen to misleading information and go search for the truth yourself and see what the other side has to say. we do NOT seek violence and we do NOT support anyone who uses Islam as a pretension to harm others.

Hello, I am a Muslim too! I recommend you to read the Quran and the hadiths, that is, the words of our Prophet (pbuh). Because Islam is learned from the Quran and hadiths. I recommend you to research the works written by Muslim scholars about Islam in the first 300 years on the internet. الكتب الستة (i.e. 6 books) are the most reliable hadith sources. Allah increase your knowledge!
A good step, my sister, as Maryam said. Also, if I have something I want to say from the experience of a source, the company of righteous Muslims, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, says: "Man follows his friend's religion, you should be careful who you take for friends". But it must be noted that not everyone who goes to the mosque suits your personality, so accompany someone with whom you feel comfortable sitting.

the fact that people from all around the world suddenly ended up being recommended this video from 3 years ago but ALL at the same time. like at the point of me writing this, every commet seems to be at most 14 hours old, mostly less. and the fact that all these people come from all sorts of backgrounds and have all these beliefs and are open minded to very very different degrees, we're in a huge melting pot just because youtube said so
I think with all what’s happening in the world right now, many of us wanted to educate themselves and researched this kind of video. I mean we had enough from hearing about muslims, we want to hear from them, and that made this video and others rise in the algorithm
For some reason, I don't see a problem with this myself. I am an atheist who is always interested in a good perspective and I live in a place where (currently) a lot of political asylum seekers come. Yes, people can fit here as long as religion is kept separate from politics and everyone is allowed to believe without denigrating the faith of others and decisions are made based on science.

@imshadowbtw8319 Let's debate, can you explain to me why is it wrong to hate a religion? Religions are ideologies, philosophies. I have the right to think that a certain ideology is wrong.

I remember when a Muslim family moved in next door, it was honestly strange since they were always so kind and friendly.

John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Thank you so much for making this video! I'm Jewish but have some Muslim friends (and we are both minority religions in Brazil, where I'm from), and I really enjoy learning about other religions around the world, so glad YT recommended your video! Wishing the best for you and all Muslims, hope we get peace asap 🙏🏻🕊✡☪️ 💖

I love that i stumbled across this video, i think its really important to know at least the basics about other religions and cultures and not judge everybody who doesnt think or believe the same.. i have never seen anyone washing thier feet in a public restroom yet, but now if i do i'll gove the person a smile and a nod instead of being weirded out, ty
Her explanation was so adorable! I am befriending a Muslim family and my most important goal is to be respectful as I can to their beliefs, Islam, and also Arab culture when I am with them, so, thank you very much for how you made all this points in the video easier and helpful to a non-Muslim

Why don't u get to Islam then, believe me its the best way for God's please on you before people's respect for u

You are so sweet oh my goodness. 😭💖
I just wanted to add that a lot of the donations aren't actually getting in because Israel doesn't let them. If you're going to donate, please give it to Red Crescent or UNRWA!
@@yun0ny4 Because hamas uses the donations to fund themselves.
Well, unfortunately, "we" isn't how they interpret your religion. A religion that teaches r@ping children is bound to do something like this, man.

I'm agnostic. (not the same as atheist) I love learning about other religions and support all of them!! In my opinion, religion & language are the most interesting things one can learn about.
I myself is a muslim but since my mother haven't taught me much about our religion(she used to be catholic so I guess thats why), this helped alot to know more.
Thank you:)
Abu Hurairah narrated:
that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever takes a path upon which to obtain knowledge, Allah makes the path to Paradise easy for him."

I'm atheist but this video appeared and I whatched it all thanks to your sweet, calm and respectful way of explaining every little thing. I know very little about Muslims and I think videos like yours are super helpful to not be accidentally disrespectful by making wrong assumptions or saying mean things. Also your drawings are super cute and bring a smile throughout all the video
Thank you for taking time and love to explain all of this :)
Thanks for posting this vid! It made me realize how little I actually knew abt Muslim culture. One of my characters is Muslim but they were super inaccurate, but thanks to you, they’re much more accurate!
the fact that people from all around the world suddenly ended up being recommended this video from 3 years ago but ALL at the same time. like at the point of me writing this, every commet seems to be at most 14 hours old, mostly less. and the fact that all these people come from all sorts of backgrounds and have all these beliefs and are open minded to very very different degrees, we're in a huge melting pot just because youtube said so
I wonder if some people of importance are afraid of the rising tensions between muslims and non-muslims...
Yeah. Its weird. It recommended it to me also.
I think with all what’s happening in the world right now, many of us wanted to educate themselves and researched this kind of video. I mean we had enough from hearing about muslims, we want to hear from them, and that made this video and others rise in the algorithm
YES. As a teenager follower of an afrobrazilian religion, this video was random, but I loved it
For some reason, I don't see a problem with this myself. I am an atheist who is always interested in a good perspective and I live in a place where (currently) a lot of political asylum seekers come. Yes, people can fit here as long as religion is kept separate from politics and everyone is allowed to believe without denigrating the faith of others and decisions are made based on science.
I am Christian and I think this video was rlly awesome! Not once did you try to convert your viewers and I really respect that :) Your religion is so beautiful and peaceful.
Remember. The term "Allahu Akbar!" isn't a term terrorists yell before suicide bombings. It's a phrase that makes you feel more relaxed because you realize "There's an easiness in every hardness." (Surat-al Inshirah)
doesn't make me feel more relaxed lol
@@ScienceChildI don't think he cares if you feel more relaxed
I guess we just made up all the terorrists screaming allahu akbar

There were one or two I didn't know. Thanks for sharing in a sweet and approachable way. :)
This actually explains alot. At my school the toilets on the upper floors are shared between both genders and whilst walking past I saw a guy washing his feet and got so confused and my friend started giggling now i feel bad knowing why he did it😭
I once saw a muslim woman washing her feet in a public rsstroom. I just smiled, nodded, and thought "oh, she's gonna go pray. Must be a time near the hour" and moved on with my day 🙃

@@SarahAsiriiNow that's a good coping mechanism
@imshadowbtw8319 Let's debate, can you explain to me why is it wrong to hate a religion?
Religions are ideologies, philosophies. I have the right to think that a certain ideology is wrong.
I think that Islam is wrong, I don't hate muslim people, I hate their ideology and their values.
Why can I say that I hate fascism but I can't say that I hate Islam? You don't have to respect every single Ideology.
@@SarahAsirii Do Muslims really have “tough skin”? When you consider the fact that anyone who too publicly “insults the prophet” is subject to a relentless and global campaign to murder them, it kinda looks like Muslims have the thinnest skin of all the major faiths… it’s basically on part with the worship of Kim Jong Un.
This video got recommended and a pretty good time, i recently found myself a friend group that i talk to often. The majority of them are muslim (i am atheist), so it’s nice being able to know a bit more about their religion ^^
Yay
How did we all get this recommended at the same time. But honestly this was a great video.
To all the people wondering why they're being recommended this now, the answer is probably the war in the Gaza Strip. Just TH-cam putting a spotlight on Muslim creators to remind us that they're people too.

For anyone who’s confused in Islam if your a female you can still hug the men in your immediate family like your granddad, dad, brother, husband, son and grandson and visa versa for if your a male
How does it work? Like the male can't hug a woman or a female can't hug/be hug by a male?
@@SoThisIsMyCat more like 'you can hug anyone your muhrim (someone who had blood relate to you. Example : mother, sister, brother, father, grandmother and grandfather.)
I remember when a Muslim family moved in next door, it was honestly strange since they were always so kind and friendly.
