Men and women are equal but created differently by God. Men should cover their awrah as well, but the hair is not part of their awrah because it does not cause fitna for women. Meanwhile, women are created with beauty in every aspect (such as their legs, voice, etc.). That's why men and women have different rules regarding awrah due to their differences in physical attractiveness. On the other hand, men are obligated to lower their gaze from women to protect themselves
A true man that has moral principals will not accuse woman of causing any "fitna" as they call it. He simply should respect!!! Search your books...here is one hadith on how and why woman were required to cover up: It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah that the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to go out at night to al-Manaasi’ (well known places in the direction of al-Baqee’) to relieve themselves and ‘Umar used to say to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), “Let your wives be veiled.” But the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not do that. Then one night Sawdah bint Zam’ah, the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), went out at ‘Isha’ time and she was a tall woman. ‘Umar called out to her: “We have recognized you, O Sawdah!” hoping that hijab would be revealed, then Allaah revealed the verse of hijab.
@@irfandh11 who said that? Like who just made the assumption that men's hair doesn't cause fitna for women? I find male voice and hair attractive as a woman so men should cover their hair too it's not fair
@duhnah5400 the hijab is definitely more so about the body than the hair tbh, I remember when I started wearing one, my biggest priority on what I should cover, first of all, was my chest or my shoulders. and I am sure everyone knows that men are scary and can get really bad thoughts, I am not saying that all men are like this or saying that just because of men, we have to cover, but on the point you raised up that you find mens hair attractive also, i just have to remind you how many women get graped compared to men. But i wear a hijab because Allah told us to do so, so to me it is first of all non negotiable, second of all, men are told by Allah to lower there gaze and Allah will surely punish them if they don't do so, but as a women I will do my part and they can do theirs and I am secure enough with myself as a muslim to know that I definitely am equal to all the men in the eyes of Allah and that's enough for me. Men have their own hijab, I think that they have to cover the whole body down from the belly button. I do see where you are coming from but I do have to say that if you think muslim women are oppressed because of their hijab, I should tell you that isnt true. Just because I might be wearing a hijab for the sake of Allah doesn't make me oppressed, rather you can say I am self confident because I don't have to follow the crowd to fit in, and if hijab is oppressive then please tell me and explain why some women wear smaller clothes or try to match trends, doesn't that show that everyone might be 'oppressed' in that sort of sense because we are all told to wear something and pls dont say that the difference is that women actually WANT to wear those things thats why it isnt oppression, because tbh i dont think we will ever know what women acctually want to wear, bc we grew up thinking that was the norm and i am sure that if the western society had made it a 'trend' or stylish to wear the hijab then everyone would have started to wear it and forget that were calling it oppressive... we are all trying to do what others have told us to do? So in that case all women are 'oppressed'. But you gotta see that The only difference is that the 'oppression' (i like to call it my honour)that some people may call it in which muslim women are apparently going through is something we are following because Allah has told me to do so, but if humans had said something to do and made it normalised for women to do such as wearing makeup (I am not shaming anyone who wears it) then noone calls that oppression because everyone is used to it, so why can't muslim women be accepted for whaf they wear aswell in the Idealised western society. Just because you grew up with something doesn't mean it's the right thing. And just because someone else is doing something different it doesn't mean that they are being forced to do that thing or don't habe a say, pls stop making our religion look bad.
Thank you, I’m a recent revert and I’m struggling with prayers. People say Hadith is not from Allah and we should only follow Quran, do I pray 3 times? Which ones?
hey there!! Alhamdulillah!! I'm so proud of you for reverting to Islam :) It must've been a very long and tedious journey for you but hey, thats what community is for: to support each other. I'm a born muslim and have recently been trying to be more disciplined with the deen. So to answer your question, Hadith is in fact from Allah. There are actually various kinds of hadiths for instance Hadith Qudsi is a direct revelation provided from Allah to the Prophet and conveyed through the Prophet too. Whereas, Hadith Nabawi refers to the saying or actions of Prophet Muhammad himself which as muslims, we MUST follow. These are the two kinds that I know so far but feel free to do some research. So, by knowing this, it is obligatory for us to pray 5 times a day as it has been evidently stated in hadiths/a hadith. Qur'an usually provides a general ruling whereas hadiths give us more detail on how to carry out those rulings provided by Allah. Sadly, there's a lot of false information especially tik toks or reels that talk about how the hadith is irrelevant and unreliable but this couldn't be farther from the truth. Without hadiths, we wouldn't know how to carry out majority of our worship or even know our Prophet Muhammad with great depths. I hope this helps!! And ofcourse pls reach out to reliable resources, either online or attending a religious class :)) May Allah ease your journey🤲
I'm a revert 27 years. People will tell us many things. Always verify it all by asking those of high knowledge. Go to mosque. Join classes. Ask imam. 💯 hadith snd quran are together.
@@Happysmile551 men cover themselves too, they themselves also need to wear loose clothing or otherwise they will get the same sins as the women for wearing tight clothing. Men need to lower their gaze even when the woman is fully covered up from head to toe, it doesn’t matter. So here’s your answer.
The main reason Allah recommended Hijab for women is to make a statement to anyone she interacts with , “do not objectify me”. Because otherwise you’re vulnerable to give mixed messages and anyone can objectify you. If you are able to follow the strict discipline of hijab ( also avoid using adornment etc) and still being objectified then you are not to blame.
Are men and women looked at as equal? Why don’t men need to wear hijabs as well? I need to educate myself more on this subject thanks
