  • Customer complaint was the machine shut down & could not get it started. He had to drag it out of the hole. We got onsite, checked the pickup tube, codes, etc. until we found the fuel housing was not on fuel filter properly (filter was loose), so we tightened it up & bled it. Still wouldnt stay running. Customer got new fuel filter, we installed, bled the fuel system & she started up & ran fine. Pretty easy job. Thank you God for this work.

    I'm helping a frnd with his 2019 T770 320 hours.
I'm a tinkerer but do not want to do more damage.
If I could trouble you for your thoughts.
He was running and it started coughing /spewing black smoke.
He stopped and checked fuel which it had some, He topped it off and it would not start.
    It turned over fine.
Had a mechanic come out and he replaced filter with an aftermarket still no start. Mech talked him into rebuilding the starter.
$1500 later the mech has not been back.
I arrived on scene and confirmed she cranked over fine -no start.
I started bleeding system to the top of fuel filter. I saw some air and got to a point I felt was good fuel flow.
At this point I have not turned engine over.
Squeezing the primer bulb it built up resistance but after 1 minute it losses it's firmness.
I then gently continued squeezing the primer Bulb while we turned machine over I gave her a shot of brake cleaner and she fired up, Black smoke but did clear up some.
Once shut off we are back to no start.
    Same issues with primer bulb.
At this point one thought was the pick up tube in tank.
Upon close eye I noticed the fuel filter having tiny bubbles between filter and housing as I was squeezing bulb.
I replaced filter with the new style Bobcat one. Owner thought we should replace bulb also.
Going thru the priming process again we still have the not holding prime issue.
This machine once the clearing of trails was completed has been rarely used.
I had to go under the knife for Back surgery having plates/rods and screws installed. Now I have inner Bling Bling:))
I am hoping to get back out on machine in near future.
My plan-- Disconnect Fuel line from filter and place temp source of fuel above and try to start.
The fuel pick up thought could be small filter and check ball has fallen off?
Am I on the right track?
    Best; Tom

That’s how You put the filter?

Yes as the original OEM one is no longer available & Bobcat made this one which is 1.5x's bigger then the original. Wish Bobcat kept the smaller one as it fits better then this one.

This is an error that has been detected within your starting circuit. I would first check all your fuses and relays. With the ignition switch in the on position, probe the top two metal tabs of each fuse with a voltage tester, replacing any fuse with power only on one side.
